Although Blaine was extremely taken aback, curiosity took over him. Kurt was so beautiful, and he and the way they’d met were really interesting. Maybe he was just fanned by me, because he is everything I’d put under the definition of perfect. But if he’d be made up by me, I’d have known who he was…

That week Blaine spent most of his time daydreaming, but try as he might he couldn’t meet Kurt again. He was searching for him in his world, he tried to imagine him being there, but Kurt was nowhere to be found.

After a whole week of not doing homework and not learning anything at all, his parents accused him of either being sick or on drugs, as he was always the type of student who started to learn right after school so he could enjoy his evening.

A two hours drive away Kurt buried himself in school, learning, glee practices, house chores, even gardening, which he hated because of the lot of dirt. He had a lot to do anyway, but he was also afraid of entering his dream world and experiencing a whole lot of new feelings. Well, not each one of them was new. He felt attracted to other boys before, but they were his schoolmates, or actors, or people on the streets or the internet. Not boys who were made up by himself, which sounds quite desperate.

Blaine seemed somehow different from all the other boys Kurt’s ever had a crush on. He seemed nice and the way he looked at Kurt, he felt for a moment that Blaine could be attracted to him, too, not to mention the fact that despite he claimed to be, he wasn’t even real.

Eleven days passed since Kurt last entered his special place and met Blaine. He could never stay away for more than a day, because all the stress he lived trough at school was unbearable.

Being beaten up almost each day that week, Kurt felt tired of reality and after skipping his last class he hurried home to his room, and gave up fighting. He closed his eyes for a long moment and when he opened it again he was already far away from his room. He was sitting on a small pier with his legs in the shallow side of a lake.

He leaned back and folded his arms beneath his head, looking up at the clear blue sky with the sun shining so hard, he had to close his eyes.

“I thought you’d never show up again“ The voice came from Blaine laying next to Kurt.

“I was planning not to.“ Said the boy with his eyes still closed.

“Why?“

“You scare me.“

“Do I look scary?“ Blaine asked raising one brow.

“You…“ Kurt started and sat up to look at the other boy in the eye “No, it’s not that you look scary, on the contrary… But I don’t know who you are and why you are here, and everytime I think about it, everytime I think about you, I just feel something very strange.“ Blaine sat up, too to answer him.

“I kind of feel the same way except I want to get to know you. It might be scary, but it’s also really interesting. I want to know who you are and why you are here. Also I want to know why I feel this thing about you. Aren’t you concerned?“

“Maybe I am. A little.“ Kurt laid back down, turning his head so he could see Blaine doing the same thing.

“A little, I see. So for start, tell me about you.”

“What do you wanna hear? Shouldn’t you know everything already about me?”

“I don’t think I should. Who is Finn? I heard you talking to him last time.”

“My stepbrother. Do you have any siblings?”

“No, I don’t. Do you go to school?”

“Of course I do. I go to McKinley High. You?”

“Never heard of it. Where is that? I go to Dalton Academy.”

“Oh, a Westerville prep-boy, what was I expecting… McKinley is in Lima.”

“You live there? Well, I thought you might say it’s on Kripton or something.”

“Kripton? Really creative.”

“Why are you here?”

“Excuse me? I thought you wanted me to be.”

“I do, I do. It’s just that I’m sure you have a good reason to escape reality. I mean I have.”

Kurt rose to his elbow and started with a pout on his face.

“Oh and what would that be? Getting bored of wearing the same blazer each day? See, I’ve heard there is no violence there at all. Every student is perfect, and look like little clones of some president. It can be awful just sitting there, being rich and waiting for the elections.”

Blaine sat up with disappointment and anger darkening his eyes.

“Wow, thank you! Look, I don’t know what your problem is, little Bambi, but I’m sure it’s the matter of death and life. Still, you don’t get to judge me. You don’t know me, and don’t even want to. I don’t know what I am doing here and trying with you. Now if you excuse me I have to go back to my perfect life and deal with the damage you caused in it.”

And with that Blaine disappeared, leaving a dumbfounded Kurt behind. He sat there near the lake cross-legged for a long time thinking. Maybe Blaine wasn’t the stereotypical preppie I assumed. He didn’t even look like one or talk like one. Maybe Dalton isn’t really like a paradise as I thought it to be. But what can be bad there? They don’t shove you around on the hallway or throw you to the dumpster. They don’t hate you because of being gay or caring for your skin and nails and stuff.

Blaine was sitting on the sofa in the living room just staring at his feet, stuck between two worlds. He started to do his homework, he really did, but could think about nothing just how disappointed he was in Kurt.

How can a boy looking like him be this shallow? And what he said, I’m sure he meant there IS violence at McKinley. He must have been through a lot, and he thinks like this anyway. No one in this world, no one in any other world can understand me. Great I’m totally alone again. I was kind of getting used to it anyway.

He finished his homework and made up for all the things he skipped since the last time or the first time he met Kurt. At dinner his parents asked why the sudden sedulity was, but he just asked if he could leave the table and go to his room.

He closed the door and opened his laptop. He wanted to google everything related to Lima, McKinley, maybe Finn, too and of course Kurt. Why didn’t I ask for his last name again? He sat there staring at the screen but he was unable to type any of these things to the search bar. Maybe I don’t want to know. It can be worse. I don’t know how, but it always can be. After sitting in front of the laptop and doing nothing at all, he decided to take a quick shower and go to the bed.

Usually he would visit his special world before falling asleep, but this time he decided against it.

This chapter has been my favorite so far. I can't wait to see what will happen next now that Kurt has offended Blaine.
