Kurts Pov
I sit up slowly yawning stretching my arms into a V formation. Instead of waking up to birds chirping happily I wake up hearing loud pattering rain hitting the roof, I jump hearing thunder outside, and a bright yellow light flashes outside my window. "You okay, Babe?" A sleepy Chandler asks. I look at the clock. It reads 11:00 am it still feels like its night time. I rub my eyes and nod tiredly. I check my phone. Blaine asked me if I wanted to go to the movies today. I quickly respond a yes and slip out of bed. Chandler quickly falls asleep and I devourer a fat-free vanilla yogurt. I find Blaine in my contacts and call him looking out of the window watching the downpour. "Hey, Kurt." A excited Blaine answers. "Hey. Where do you want to meet and when?" I ask figuring I probably sound desperate. I don't really care. "Remember that movie theater we always went to?" Blaine asks. "Yep." I respond. "Meet me there at 1:00." I say okay and bite my lip when Blaine hangs up. Is this bad? Its innocent we are only hanging out. Were we? I look at my watch. 12:15. Shit. I tip-toe in my room making sure I don't wake Chandler and slip on some casual clothes. I get in the car and start driving. I squint leaning closer trying to see the road. When I get there its 1:00 and I sit patiently. I look out the window watching the cars drive-by. After twenty-minutes I call Blaine but he doesn't answer. Did he blow me off. When it finally turns 2:10 I start to worry constantly calling Blaine. "Blaine please answer... I need to know your okay." I leave a voicemail. A tear runs down my check. What if Blaine got hurt? Later that night I lay on the couch still thinking about Blaine. My phone starts to buzz and my heart jumps when the caller ID reads Blaine. "Where were you? You had me worried! I thought you blew me off..." I say frantically. "I would never... Oh well... I got in a car accident. Im at the hospital right now." My eyes widen. Blaine got in a car accident! "Ill be there in a few minutes text me the address." I say before hanging up knowing Blaine would tell me to stay home if I stayed on the phone any longer. Blaine sends me the address and I rush there. "Um... Blaine Anderson." I whisper tears in my eyes standing at the front desk. "He's in room 6." The dark skinned woman answers smiling lightly to me. I nod and rush off finding the room. When I walk in I gasp. Blaine is laying in bed with a cast on his right arm and a bloody cloth around his head. "Are you okay?" I ask. He's obviously not but I ask anyways. Blaine shrugs and winces crying with pain from the movement. I bolt towards his bed and grab his hand. "It hurts so much." Blaine whispers his eyes closed shut tightly gripping my hand. "I know." I whisper moving his loose curl from his forehead. All I want to do is grab Blaine and pull him to his chest and hold him. But I know I cant. "My head hurts so bad." Blaine whispers gripping my hand harder. A tear falls down my cheek. I hate seeing Blaine like this.
" When you try your best but you don't succeedWhen you get what you want but not what you needWhen you feel so tired but you can't sleepStuck in reverse."
Blaine opens his eyes looking up at me.
"And the tears come streaming down your faceWhen you lose something you can't replaceWhen you love someone but it goes to wasteCould it be worse?"
A tear falls light down Blaines cheek as he closes his eyes.
"Lights will guide you homeAnd ignite your bonesAnd I will try to fix you"
"And high up above or down belowWhen you're too in love to let it goBut if you never try you'll never knowJust what you're worth"
"Lights will guide you homeAnd ignite your bonesAnd I will try to fix you"
My own eyes start to water as I watch Blaine struggle to stay awake.
"Tears stream down your faceWhen you lose something you cannot replaceTears stream down your faceAnd I"
"Tears stream down your faceI promise you I will learn from my mistakesTears stream down your faceAnd I"
I whisper the last lyrics as Blaine falls asleep.
"Lights will guide you homeAnd ignite your bonesAnd I will try to fix you"
I close my eyes and slowly kiss Blaines forehead. I grab a chair from the corner of the room and put it beside Blaine sitting in it. I grab his hand again and drift off to sleep. I wake up to a dozen of calls and text from Chandler. I dial his number stepping out of the room. "Im so sorry I forgot to call you, Bl- my friend got in a car accident." I answer quickly. "Whatever." I hear and Chandler hangs up clearly angry. I clench my teeth and walk back into the room. I smile seeing Blaine is awake. "Good morning." I whisper sitting in the chair next to Blaines bed. "Good morning." Blaine answers yawning stretching his arms wincing a little. "Thanks for coming Kurt." Blaine whispers looking down at his hands. I nod a comfortable silence washing over us. "Can I get you some breakfast?" I ask. Blaine looks up at me smiling. "That would be amazing." I hop into my car and drive around looking for something to get Blaine. I guess hes going to have to eat Ihop. I return to Blaines room holding some waffles on a plate. "I know they are not like my homemade waffles... But I got these from Ihop." I gently set them on Blaines lap. Blaine gives me a grateful smile before looking back down devouring them. "Thank you so much, Kurt." Blaine whispers as I take away his empty plate. "You have done so much for me... All I have done is screw you over." Blaine adds clenching his teeth. "Thats not true Blaine." I say sitting next to him rubbing his back. "Are you feeling better?" I ask changing the subject. Blaine nods still not giving me eye contact. The nurse gently knocks before walking in smiling "Blaine, you can leave now. When you get home wrap a hot cloth around your head and don't do to much this week." "Do you want me to drive you home?" I ask helping him sit up. He shakes his head. Blaine and I walk out the hospital. "Bye, Blaine." I whisper looking into his eyes. "Goodbye, Kurt." Blaine answers. All that I know... This is NOT goodbye.
