"Are you sure?"
"YES! I'm sure. Now do you want to come over or not?"
Kurt sighed. He knew what he wanted to do, but he wasn't sure what he should do. I mean Blaine was amazing and they were having so much fun, but what would Sebastian say? Then again, did Kurt really care?
"Okay, let's go!" Kurt said, grabbing Blaine's hand and pulling him down the halls of Dalton academy.
They ran through the school, Kurt leading the way towards the front door. Blaine and Kurt laughed all the way, having fun sneaking out of the place before the other Warblers could rope them into going to Breadstix like they always did after Friday rehearsals. Blaine took the lead and showed Kurt to the silver volvo parked a few feet from the entrance.
The boys got in the car and didn’t look back as they drove away from the school, the Warblers and the rest of the world.
“Okay, your place or mine?” Blaine winked, making a sharp left off Main Street.
“Blaine!” Kurt squealed, playfully shoving his best friend. “Come on!” Kurt laughed, trying to hide the red seeping into his cheeks. Kurt grabbed this bag from under the passenger seat and pulled out his phone. “The guys are gonna be wondering where we are,” he said, biting his lip.
“So let them wonder,” Blaine smirked, and Kurt pushed him again. “It’s not like we have to go everywhere with them. Besides, we’re just going to my house to hang out... it’s not like we’re doing anything... you know,” Blaine winked again and they both started laughing.
Kurt watched Blaine as they drove the twenty or so minutes to Blaine’s house (22 to be exact - not that Kurt knew that by heart or anything). Blaine was always smiling - that’s why he was the most popular guy in school. He didn’t have a care in the world and everybody loved him. Even though he was bullied at his old school, Blaine Anderson was the most well liked guy at Dalton. It was practically love at first sight for the whole school when Blaine transferred there. No one even cared about his orientation. That’s Dalton for you - everyone is accepted no matter who they are or who they like. Which was why a lot of the students transferred to Dalton after bullying incidents at their old schools.
Kurt and Blaine had hit it off right away, having met at Blaine’s first glee club rehearsal. They became friends instantly and were almost inseparable. That is until Sebastian transferred to Dalton.
Sebastian was - well... hot. So it was only natural that he and Blaine - the two hottest guys in school - became a couple. Not that this bothered Kurt or anything...
Now “Seblaine” as they were affectionately known were always together, getting coffee at Lima Bean, rehearsing their duets in the choir room and having hourly makeout sessions in the halls... none of which bothered Kurt.
They arrived at Blaine’s just as Mr. Anderson pulled out of the driveway. He rolled down the window.
“Hey boys, what are you doing here?” he asked when Blaine got out of the car.
“Kurt and I didn’t feel like going to Breadstix,” Blaine replied as Kurt opened his door. Mr. Anderson seemed to brighten up when he realized it was Kurt in the car.
“Oh, well you boys have fun! I’m on my way to pick your mother up from the airport so I won’t be home for a while. She wants to stop by your Uncle Neil’s afterwards so God only knows how long that’ll take,” Mr. Anderson rolled his eyes and sighed.
“Have fun with that,” Blaine laughed and waved as his dad drove away.
“He’s really nice,” Kurt smiled as they headed inside.
“Well he likes you. And he’s just glad it’s not Sebastian coming over - otherwise he wouldn’t leave us alone in the house. My dad’s still not okay with the whole ‘kissing guys’ thing - he won’t even say the word ‘gay,’” Blaine led Kurt into the living room. “And if I even mention Sebastian he flips out.”
“Sucks,” Kurt plopped onto the couch. He didn’t mention that his dad would probably react the same way if it was Kurt’s boyfriend for fear of Blaine thinking Kurt was gay. Not that it would be a bad thing if Blaine thought that or anything.
“Yeah,” Blaine said, turning on the speakers hooked up to his iPod and lying down on the couch, his head on Kurt’s lap. Some Top 40 hit played as Blaine continued on about his dad’s views on homosexuality. He was pouring his heart out to Kurt, his best friend, his Disney movie marathon buddy, his midnight snack companion. Kurt stared understandingly at his best friend, his Broadway musical duet partner, his secret crush. Wait - no. Not crush... Kurt totally wasn’t crushing on this gorgeous, sweet, beautiful, funny, sexy guy in his lap. No. It wasn’t a crush... Blaine was just the one person Kurt wanted to spend his whole life cuddling with, talking to, laying with, singing with, kissing - well... maybe it was a little crush. But it didn’t mean anything. And besides, Blaine had a boyfriend.
Kurt sighed. If only... just then the song coming from Blaine’s iPod changed. Beats from a synthesizer began to play and Blaine’s face reddened.
“I didn’t know you were a Belieber,” Kurt smirked.
“Shutup,” Blaine mumbled, getting up to change the song.
Kurt grabbed Blaine and pushed the boy back onto his lap. He reached over to turn up the volume and started rapping along with the Biebs. “If I was your boyfriend I’d never let you go.”
Blaine started laughing as Kurt rapped, quite badly. Kurt smiled as Blaine joined in. “I could take you places you ain’t never been before.” Blaine sat up as they continued to rap to each other, something they couldn’t do with anyone else. Especially considering it was a Justin Bieber song they were doing. The boys turned towards each other and couldn’t stop laughing. Blaine leaned closer and whispered in Kurt’s ear, “I don’t know about me but I know about you,” and pulled away as Kurt began to sing.
“I’d like to be everything you want,” and because it was all too much and he was two inches away from the most gorgeous male on the planet singing about being his boyfriend, Kurt leaned across the space and kissed Blaine. He didn’t worry about what Blaine would think. What Sebastian would think. What his dad would think. He just kissed him. And he could tell Blaine wasn’t thinking about these things either. He was kissing Kurt back.
Kurt’s lips moved slowly and steadily over Blaine’s. Sure Kurt had kissed other people before, but this was nothing like any of those kisses. His lips parted and he could feel Blaine’s hot breath as his tongue slipped into Kurt’s mouth. Kurt mimicked Blaine’s movements, his tongue dancing around in their mouths. Blaine’s arms wrapped around Kurt and pulled their bodies closer, forgetting about everything else and focusing solely on the steamy kiss. Blaine pushed Kurt onto the couch and lay on top of him, never stopping the kiss.
“If I was your boyfriend, I’d never let you go....”
