The first thing Kurt noticed about this so called, "School," that he had been told to go spy on was that it was amazing. Only that thought of amazing changed quickly to extraordinary once Kurt managed to get into Dalton Academy undetected, or so he thought at the time. Kurt never even noticed that a boy spared as suspicious glanced towards him before walking past Kurt and down the stairs.
It was 12:57pm and there were students in the hall. Kurt remembered that he had checked and double checked the class schedules online. No one should have been in the halls at this hour and if there was, there shouldn't have been this many students. Teachers should have still been teaching their classes at this time. What could be going on? Hmm, Maybe, if I follow the mob of students I'll find out.
Down the hall, to the left, followed by an immediate right and now down some stairs ten minutes later. This is ridiculous. It might just be best if I asked someone instead of following this mob for the next half hour. There, I'll just ask him.
" Excuse me. Um, Hi. Can I ask you a question, I'm new here." Ok, good start. Kurt never noticed the small twitch in the guys eyebrow as he was turning towards the countertenor, his face full of innocence and completely passive.
A smile graced the boys face as he held out a hand. " My names Blaine."
" Kurt." There was a small pause between the both of them before Kurt asked his question. " So, what exactly is going on?"
Blaine let his smile grow wider. " The Warblers. Every now and again they throw an impromptu performance in the senior commons. Tends to shut the school down for a while."
Kurt couldn't hold back the next sentence that came out of his mouth. " So, wait. The Glee Club here is cool?"
" The Warblers are like rockstars." Blaine let a smirk grace his mouth, he carefully hid it by taking Kurt's hand in his and said, " Come on, I know a shortcut."
And Kurt let himself be pulled down a long hallway. This place is beautiful.
Blaine looked back at Kurt briefly while Kurt looked around in wonder. A small brush from a thumb caressing the back of his hand had brought Kurt back to reality. Their eyes met each others before Blaine let go of Kurt's hand and opened the doors in front of him.
Blaine stepped forwards, gave a tiny nod and turned back to a stunned Kurt who noticed nothing.
" Wow, I stick out like a sore thumb."
Blaine reached out and touched Kurt's jacket, fixing the already perfectly placed collar. " Next time, don't forget your jacket new kid, you'd fit right in."
Kurt's eyes looked up from Blaine's hands on his jacket to his face quickly. Blaine had winked at him. Gah! He's figured me out.
" Now, if you'll excuse me."
Before you met me,
I was a right, but things
Were kinda heavy,
You brought me to life.
