The next few weeks flew by and before Kurt knew it he was 16 weeks pregnant. He had moved back in with his dad and Carole to be closer to Blaine, which Rachel wasn’t taking so well considering they had been sharing an apartment together. Mercedes was due to return to Lima in a few days and Kurt was getting anxious to tell her about the babies seeing as the day before she was supposed to arrive he and Blaine were finding out the sex of the twins. “Hey you ready to go to the hospital Kurt?” Blaine asked before gently kissing his lips. “Yeah, just a little anxious and excited.” Kurt said smiling. When they got downstairs they could hear Burt and Finn talking, “$2o says its girls.” Burt said. “I say the twins are boys.” Finn said. “I’m going with one of each.” Carole said laughing. “Boys.” Blaine said as he and Kurt entered the room. “Nope, girls.” Kurt said rubbing his belly. “I guess we’ll find out soon.” Carole said giving both boys a hug.

A half hour later Kurt and Blaine were in the hospital waiting room. “Hummel.” The nurse said. Blaine helped Kurt up and then they followed the nurse into the exam room. “The doctor will be with you in a moment. Just get yourself comfortable.” The nurse said before leaving the room. Kurt sat on the exam table and started getting fidgety. 5 minutes later the door opened and the doctor walked in. “Hello Kurt, I’m Dr. Carter and I will be performing your sonogram today.” The doctor said. “Nice to meet you. This is my boyfriend and the babies father Blaine.” Kurt said. “Hello. Okay Kurt could you please lay back and lift your shirt for me and we’ll get started.” She said. Kurt did as he was told and then Dr. Carter put the gel on his abdomen. “So are we finding out the sex of the twins today?” she asked. “Yes. Definitely.” Kurt said as Dr. Carter moved the wand around. “Well they are identical twins I can tell you that. And you see this right here? (both boys nod their heads) Looks like your twins are……”

Blaine and Kurt were so excited knowing what the babies were. They also now knew who owed money for the bet. “I hope everyone will be as happy as we are about the sexes. I had a feeling about it but never thought I’d be this happy about it.” Blaine said kissing Kurt’s lips. “I’m happy too and now all we have to do is tell Mercedes tomorrow.” Kurt said excitedly. The next day Kurt woke up to knocking on his bedroom door. “Hey Boo, surprise.” Mercedes said walking into the room to give Kurt a hug. “Hey Cedes, what are you doing here first thing in the morning?” Kurt asked as he turned over to find Blaine gone. “Uh it’s almost 1 in the afternoon Kurt. And Blaine told me to come up here to wake you.” Mercedes said smiling. “Well now that you have made your entrance I guess I can tell you what’s going on.” Kurt said. “Go on white boy and tell me.” Mercedes said making Kurt laugh. “Well, I’m 16 weeks pregnant with identical twin girls.” Kurt said moving his duvet off his abdomen to show Mercedes his growing baby bump. “Wow Kurt, that’s amazing.” Mercedes said hugging him and then rubbing his belly. “Also, Blaine and I were talking last night and we want you to be a godmother. I mean who better than my diva girl to teach my girls about fashion and shopping, other than myself of course.” Kurt said. “I’d love to be a godmother Kurt. But who are the other godparents?” Mercedes asked. “We are going to ask Finn and Rachel to be godparents and we were thinking of asking Sam to be godfather.” Kurt said. “Have you told your parents what the twins are yet?” Mercedes asked. “Nope, but I am now if you will just help me up.” Kurt said laughing. Once he was standing they made their way downstairs. “Blaine, can we tell my dad, Carole and Finn now?” Kurt asked as he sat on the couch. “Sure, Mercedes can you please go gather everyone while I get Kurt something to eat?” Blaine asked. “Sure Blaine, no problem.” Mercedes said as she went to get everyone. 10 minutes later everyone was in the living room waiting for Kurt to make the announcement. “So what are they?” Finn asked. “Well, do have the $20 bucks handy Finn? They are identical twin girls!” Kurt said smiling as Finn handed the $20 to Burt and another $20 to Kurt and then Carole did the same. This was turning out to be a great day for Kurt. And now that he knew that he was having girls, the next thing on his list was the nursery.
