Kurt was working on being friendlier. He didn't know a lot of people here, and making friends was... difficult. Ever since he had started the fashion course, he was tired and stressed and found himself snapping and being a little bitchy to anyone who tried to talk to him. So he was attempting to change things.

Starting with the new people in his apartment building.

They had moved in the day before, just opposite him, and from what he saw when he'd managed a glance at them, he could say that they were a guy and a girl, both dark-haired, with olive skin tones.

Kurt knocked, tapping the box of cupcakes on the palm of his hand as he waited. He heard some loud thumps from within the apartment, but before he could figure it out, the door was opening and-

Oh

He'd not been expecting that.
Leaning against the doorframe and looking confused and beautifully sleep-tousled was a god. And Kurt wouldn't lie about that. While he was prone to over-exaggerating things, he was sure anyone would agree that this guy in front of him was goddamn attractive. And Kurt was struck speechless by the glaring fact that he was only wearing pair of tight, black boxers.

"Um," Kurt said, his cheeks flaring red. He didn't know where to look. Well, he knew where he wanted to look, but that probably wasn't socially acceptable right now.

"Can..." The man's voice was rough and husky with sleep, and it made Kurt's head go a little fuzzy. He cleared his throat, rubbing his devastatingly thick-lashed hazel eyes and started again. "Can I help you?"

Oh yes indeed you can, Kurt's wayward mind answered, but he just blinked that thought away and smiled instead, having regained a small amount of his composure.

"Oh, well, my name's Kurt and I live just across from you, and I made you some cupcakes to..." His train of thought drifted as the man stretched his arms above his head, flexing his amply muscled limbs and rolling his shoulders. Kurt swallowed. "Um... to, ah... welcome you... here." To be fair, Kurt didn't expect to even finish what he was saying, so that fact that his words were slightly confused didn't bother him so much.

"Cupcakes!" A female voice exclaimed, and suddenly there was a very beautiful, but also very scantily clad girl bouncing up to him from behind the guy and snatching the box out of Kurt's hands. "Thank you, awkward new neighbour,"

Kurt was just completely stunned by this situation as a whole, so he wasn't even able to be annoyed when she tapped him on his cheek and cooed at him.

"Aw, look, you're all flustered." Kurt blushed even more, and looked to the guy, who seemed just as shocked as Kurt.

"Santana!" He hissed, pulling her back into the apartment. "Put some clothes on, you can't talk to people just in your underwear!"
Kurt wasn't only perplexed by now, he was also finding it hard not to combust spontaneously at how mortifying this whole thing was. Because those two were together and they both had no clothes on and-

"Wow, Blainers, I never pinned you as a hypocrite." Santana said before sauntering back into the apartment and around a corner, out of sight. The guy - Blaine, maybe? - looked down at his toned chest and abs at her words, and promptly let out a small, horrified gasp.

"O-oh my god," Blaine - Kurt was assuming his name was Blaine, anyway - stammered out, now possibly even more red than Kurt, and grabbed the door, angling it so it was hiding his body and only his head topped with glossy black curls peeked out from around it. "Th-this... I... Oh my god," Kurt sensed that he should leave and took a step back.

"I-I'll just... go now..." He gestured to his door and turned around.

"Th-thank you for the cupcakes!" Blaine said a bit desperately, probably trying to save the situation. Kurt smiled at him and opened his door, waving once awkwardly and not waiting to see if Blaine reciprocated the gesture before closing his door again and leaning his head against it.

Maybe the whole being-nice-and-making-friends thing wasn't such a fantastic idea after all, not if it was going to be as mortifying as that all the time.
