The room around them buzzed with excitement as the DJ came in over the system announcing that it was time for the couple's first dance. Blaine jumped up to the middle of the dance floor with Kurt following less than reluctantly behind him.
Oh, oh, oh I, I was a city boy
Riding to danger's where I'd always run a boy who had his fun
But I wouldn't've done
All the things that I have done
If I knew one day you'd come
Blaine rested his head on his husband's - husband!- neck while the beginning of the song asa they swayed back and forth to the beat of the music. The chests of their matching black tuxedos touched due to the closeness of the two of them.
Now baby, now baby, now baby, now baby
Oh, oh, oh, I, I know it breaks your heart
To picture the only one you wanna love
In someone else's arms
But I wouldn't have done
All the things that I have done
If I knew one day you'd come
The light under the tent of the reception area was almost strictly lanterns and candles, making it easy to see the tears on the friends and famiy member's cheeks as the two shared their first dance. The entire reception, much like the wedding, was low-key. The two of them did not want to have to worry about huge things, not to mention two college students didn't have too much money to be spending on a wedding. They didn't need a big wedding, everyone in attendance could tell by the love between the two of them was so strong that they would have gotten married in the auditorium of the high school and been happy with it.
Now, baby, now, baby, now, baby
Oh, baby, please
Let's leave the past behind us, behind us
So that we can go where love will find us
Yeah, will find us
I know most of the rest would leave me
But I know that you believe me
"I love you so much." Blaine whispered, voice thick with tears into Kurt's neck. The older man opting not to respond, but just to kiss the top of the other man's head and tighten his arms around his waist.
Baby, I, I wish we were seventeen
So I could give you all the innocence
That you give to me
No, I wouldn't have done
All the things that I've done
If I knew one day you'd come
If I knew one day you'd come
Niether of them heard the DJ come back on to the microphone to congratulate them. The two of them were still swaying to the song that wasn't even playing anymore, lost in each other's arms.
