Kurt entered Blaine's bedroom to see him sitting up typing furiously on his laptop, only to stop, and write things down, and then go back to typing. His right eye clad in an eye patch. He sat wearing a pair of grey sweat pants and a blue, worn out t-shirt.
He looked at his boyfriend and walked over to the other side of the bed, climbing up almost un noticed. Blaine looked up from his work.
"Hey." He looked directly back down at his papers and began writing again.
"What are you working on?" Kurt kissed him on his temple. His curls un-refined by gel.
"Homework." Blaine practially snapped. Getting more frustrated at the pile of work infront of him that only seemed to be getting bigger.
Kurt deflected a little bit, picking up one of the papers Blaine was working on. " Sweetie, why don't you take a break for a second, your mom said you've been working the whole day, you still have a at least a week before you go back to school after your surgery, you don't have to do it all today-"
"I kinda do." Blaine snapped back again. "There is way too much work and I've been able to work all day today until you showed up and-" Blaine stopped himself, realizing the way his last words had come out.
Kurt simply looked at him, his eyebrows raised.
"Kurt I'm sorry I didn't mean that I-" Blaine was cut off by Kurt wrapping his arms around him in a hugging embrace.
"You're exhausted, cause when you're tired you get mean." Kurt laughed a little.
Blaine mumbled something into Kurt's arm. Kurt looked down at the boy who was still leaning into his chest. "What was that?"
"I'm just kinda stressed." Blaine mumbled again, this time a little more clearly. Kurt didn't fail to notice the tears slowly starting to well up in his eye that wasn't clad in a patch. Before he could open his mouth to speak again, Blaine had started.
"I have all this work to do. And I have to get surgery tomorrow morning. Surgery. I've never even had my tonsils removed. And it's all because of them". He practically growled. "I mean, I knew Sebastian had bad intentions, but I thought the rest of them were my friends. And now I have to do the scariest thing i've ever done tomorrow, just because of some stupid competition I mean they always acted so nice to m-me I-" Blaine stopped because the tears running down one side of his face interrupted him.
"Hey." Kurt spoke quietly. "Look at me."
Blaine looked up with one eye looking timid even towards his own boyfriend.
"Everything will go fine tomorrow. I promise." He brushed a tear off the younger boy's face. "And I don't know why the guys would do that to you. But I promise you'll be okay, and you never have to deal with them again. Come on, like any of the guys from glee club would even let them near you after last Thursday night. "
Blaine laughed a little, head still securely on Kurt's chest.
"Why don't you try and get some sleep?" Kurt offered.
"I can't sleep, I have all of this work to do and-" Blaine sat back up and started to think about the ammount of school work that was sitting around him.
"Blaine." Kurt cut him off. "How about this, you get some sleep, and then when you wake up, we'll work on you're pre-calc homework?"
Blaine didn't respond, he only layed his head back down on Kurt's chest where it had previously been and closed his eyes.
"I love you." He practically whispered.
"I love you too, now get some sleep." Kurt smiled a little.
