I don't wanna miss a single thing you do,
tonight.
The warblers finished their sectionals performance without a hitch. Everything went perfectly as far as the judges were concerned. They were a shoe-in to win. Except Kurt wasn't as happy as the rest of the warblers who were already celebrating their pending win.
He was feeling rather homesick. The whole time he was on stage he kept looking over at the New Directions. They were all smiling at him. And that sucked. They all sat there looking at him, looking so proud of him. What were they proud of him for? Running away from everything at McKinely? What was there to be proud of?
He sat in the greenroom by himself playing idely with his iPhone hoping he would look busy enough for everyone to pass him by. Because honestly. He didn't really feel like talking.
But apparently Blaine saw right through that act.
He plopped down onto the couch Kurt was sitting on, practically sitting on his lap. He looked over at Kurt, their faces just inches apart from each other. "What's wrong?"
"What would make you think something was wrong?"
"Because you look like you did the first time we talked, really, really sad." He ducked his head, now a little bit embarassed for showing Kurt how much he'd remembered their first meeting.
"I don't know, just a little homesick with the New Directions I guess.."
Blaine nodded "I understand, how about, since you had kinda a rough week, on account of you moving to Dalton so soon, and the whole solo thing, which if you ask me you totally should have recieved one, I'll take you and some of your New Direction friends out to dinner tonight." he smiled.
"I couldn't ask you to do that.."
"I insist, now you go invite them or I will, and im sure they wouldn't want some crazy kid from the opposing show choir coming over to ask them to dinner.."
Kurt smiled and nodded his head "Thanks.." He wasn't sure how, but Blaine always knew how to make him feel better.
"Your welcome.." Blaine returned the smile.
When Kurt stood up to go and talk to his friends he turned around and shot Blaine a parting smile.
Blaine wondered if Kurt's smile was ever going to stop giving him butterflies.
