"You should just know that you're not alone.." Blaine tried his best to keep his voice low so the rest of the students couldn't hear what he was saying, but for Karofsky to hear it himself.
Before he could open his mouth to say something else he was being slammed agasinst the wall. It was the worst feeling ever. The feeling that he knew he couldn't fight back. He couldn't get angry, not now at least. He'd just met Kurt, he was supposed to be being strong for him. And sure, pushing the huge football player off of him and down the flight of stairs below him would have been strong, but not the kind of strong he was supposed to be. He put his hands above his head in defeat.
Kurt tried his best to pull him off of Blaine but there wasn't much he could do until he took his arms off of the fenced wall behind Blaine. After he walked away, Blaine tried to shrug off what had just happened. Making a joke about Dave not coming out of the closet anytime soon. But really the joking was only to stop himself from freaking out. Nothing like this that had happened to him since he'd left his last school.
He offered to buy Kurt lunch, but insisted on eating somewhere other than at McKinley. Within ten minutes they were sitting across from each other at a small coffee shop because neither of them could eat. Kurt spent the whole time silent wishing there was something he could say to apologize to Blaine for Dave's outburst at the school. And Blaine wanted Kurt to know that is was okay, but it wasn't.
But after thinking about how many times he'd told Kurt to have courage Blaine decided that he needed to speak up. "I think you should consider transfering to Dalton." Well, that wasn't exactly what he was meaning to say. And he wasn't completely positive how that was what he ended up saying.
"Wh-What?" Kurt looked up from his cup.
"I mean I-"
"I'm so sorry.." Kurt continued to apologize before Blaine could get another word out. "I shouldn't have made you come to McKinley, I should have thought he would do this and..I'm so sorry.."
"Kurt." Blaine reached across the table and took his hand. In which Kurt pulled his away quickly. He should have realized Kurt wouldn't want affection considering what had just happened between him and Karofsky only the day before. "I'm sorry.."
Kurt looked up at Blaine "No, i'm sorry.."
Blaine gave Kurt a small sad smile "Stop apologizing."
Kurt looked up from his cup once again but this time with tears in his eyes. He was trying his best to stop them from falling by keeping a small smile on his face. "Only if you do first.."
"Okay I'll stop i'm-" He stopped himself and Kurt started to laugh. It made Blaine's heart melt to hear him laughing and see him smile. It seemed like this was the first time he was really meeting him. Face to face. Considering the first time they'd met he'd barely gotten two words out before having to perform.
"So.." Kurt sat up a little bit straighter than he had been before "What was that about me transfering to Dalton?"
