AN: I really dont have that great of an excuse as to why I havent been updating much other than I havent had much time to actually be on my laptop and do stuff, but I have the rest of this written so its not just gonna get left off (I hope) I have everything typed so its just a matter of getting it on here!
The ride there was going to be long to say the least, Blaine was quite the talker, and Kurt wasnt such a listener. The two sat close together, for heat of course, in Kurts sleigh, Sven pulling the two of them.
"And he got angry because I got engaged to a guy I met today and-"
"Wait..You mean to tell me you got engaged to someone you just met?"
"Yes." Blaine answered quiet but defiantly.
"Didnt your parents ever warn you about stranger danger?"
"Yes..They did." Blaine said cooly as he slid away from how close he was sitting next to Kurt. "But, I love him and-"
"Okay, okay. I believe you." Kurt stopped the talk of the fiance, or whatever he was, right then. He could care less.
They rode together, quietly until the sleigh came to an abrupt stop.
"Sven? What is it buddy?" The reindeer looked back and forth before Kurt caught sight of why theyd stopped. Peircing green eyes peered from the shaddows and he knew exactly what they were. Wolves.
"Okay, stay completely quiet.." He warned, lighting a torch from the small lantern that was attatched to the front of the sleigh. Apparently for the wolves, not chasing the two men down was out of the question. They ran until the sleigh was practically hanging off of a snow drift, at least fifty feet to the other side.
"Blaine, hold on to Sven." He offered, the prince grabbed onto the reindeer, who jumped the snow drift, barely making it over, but with help and presuasion from Blaine ended up being just fine. Kurt threw the ice pick over, sufficiently getting it clipped onto the side of the other drift and jumped over. Kurt watched as the sleigh fell over the cliff only to hit the ground and burst into flames from the torch hed lit earlier.
He ran a hand over his face.
"I just got that paid off." He sighed.
Blaine tried his best to console him, but how could he make this man he hardly knew feel better?
The two trudged on towards the north mountian, both of them getting more communication with each other than theyd gotten in years from anyone else.
"And so about a year after they died, I decided to go out on my own.." Kurt told the story of how hed practically raised himself.
"But you were only five!"
"Six," His lip quirked up in a small smile. "But Im here, and as far as things go, I think Im okay." Blaine giggled. "What about you? Whats your story? Whats the prince of Arendelle doing climbing the north mountian?"
So Blaine told him the story, he told him of how close he and Cooper had been as kids, and how one day Cooper just stopped talking to him, practically making him invisible. And he told him of how their parents died and he had only himself to comfort because his own older brother had pinned himself up in a room by himself. But he made sure to tell Kurt that he knew why now. It was because of the curse, Cooper didnt hate him.
Blaine was talking, but Kurt could only see his eyes. Hed been with him for hours and hadnt noticed what color they were. They were a hazel color, with a golden tint, they were amazing, they were gorgeous they were-
"Kurt?" Blaine asked. "Is this the north mountian?"
Kurt looked up to see a snow covered mountian standing ahead of them. He nodded, letting Sven walk in front of them, surveying the territory. Blaine immediately ran forward to begin to climb the mountian. To which Kurt had protested, telling Blaine it was too high for him to climb without a rope or anything of the sort. To which Blaine tuned out and continued to climb, before deciding he was tired after climbing less than fifteen feet.
Kurt urged him to jump down, he told him hed catch him. But Blaine only blushed, that would be embarassing. He could climb down on his own. That wasnt going to go along as planned, his left foot had other plans, leaving him falling until he was caught by two strong arms.
Hed never noticed the way Kurt smiled until just now and- He had a fiance at home who he was sure was doing a great job of taking care of Arendelle.
Sven had eventually led them over to where they assumed Cooper had been living. Kurt wondered, but Blaine had no doubt. It was a castle, completely made of snow and ice, it had to have been Cooper. He stood, walking towards the castle Kurt not far behind.
"Maybe you should stay here..Last time I introduced him to a guy he put an eternal winter on us." Blaine joked, but Kurt wasnt smiling.
"Someone has to go with you, youre not safe!"
"Hes my brother, hed never hurt me." He said reassuring Kurt, before walking up the steps and into the icy castle. He looked around, it really was beautiful, everything was a gorgeous metallic blue color along with the colors of the sky that you could see through the glassy looking texture.
"Cooper?" He called out. "Coop!" He walked around. "Coop, I know youre in here!"
"Blaine?" A painfully familiar voice answered. Blaine looked up to see his brother turning a corner and standing at the top of the staircase that stood in the middle of the room. "Blaine you cant be here..You have to go back home."
"No Coop, you can come with me. We can fix all of this together, I get it now!" Blaine didnt notice the tear running down his brothers cheek.
"You didnt want to shut me out like that when we were kids, you had to. Come with me, you dont have to stay here and live in fear!"
"Please Blaine, just go back home, everyones waiting for you, go open the gates!"
"I cant Cooper I-"
"Im fine here by myself, go take over in Arendelle, they need you, you will be fine.."
"But were not." He yelled over his brothers talking.
"What are you talking about?"
"Arendelles knee deep in snow.. You set off an eternal winter.." Blaine could see the complete and utter fear in his brothers eyes. Hed seen it before, just a day earlier when he was running from Arendelle, and everything hed just earned as king.
"But we can fix it together, please Cooper, just come with me. Everything will be okay, you can fix this-"
"I cant!" Cooper jumped back, ice shooting from his fingertips and hitting his baby brother directly in the heart. He covered his face with his hands when he heard Blaine scream.
Kurt couldnt remember running any faster than he did running up the two flights of stairs in this ice castle of sorts, trying to find the source of Blaines scream. When he reached the top of the steps he found an older man, with white-blonde hair, that must be Cooper, with his head in his hands crying loud, unreserved sobs. And Blaine lying practically unconcious in the middle of the floor, hands clutched to his chest.
"Blaine!" He called, the curly haired boy looked up at him. "Are you okay?"
"Im fine, we just need to go." He stood, heavily relying on Kurts help to get him up. Kurt practically had to carry him out of the place, only putting him down when he was secure enough to ride on Sven.
He kept a watchful eye on Blaine the entire way back, he noticed that the boy was in and out of conciousness quite often, and to be honest, the thought of losing this boy he just met was terrifying. He pondered not taking him home because he didnt want to give him back to the fiance.
Hed never felt this way for a person ever. This must have been what love felt like. He couldnt remember what being loved felt like, but he imagined that it must have felt like when Blaine smiled at him.
The closer they got to Arendelle, the worse off Blaine seemed to be. The white streak that was in his hair when Kurt had met him was only growing more, and beginning to consume his head. He couldnt sit up to ride Sven anymore, so Kurt was now carrying him everywhere. He would ocasionally open his eyes to meet his with Kurts. Kurt would smile and try his best to be reasuring that everything would be okay, though he thought he might have been lying to himself.
He hadnt really asked for consent, but they were going to need to stop, and Kurt knew exactly the place.
