AN: 1 Day down, 24 to go! Hope you enjoyed!
"Daddy!" Karlie and Kurt both called from the couch in an effort to get Blaines attention. The younger man came in the room holding two mugs and one sippy cup filled with hot ("Cooled off for Karlie, of course.") chocolate.
"Im coming!" He said with a dramatic huff. He placed his mug on the table, handing Kurt his with a kiss, and handing Karlie her sippy cup with a kiss on the cheek.
Kurt pressed play on the DVD remote, starting the movie while Karlie sat contently in his lap drinking the sweet beverage, wearing a red and white snoflake clad onsie. The opening of The Polar Express came on, and Blaine snuggled closer to his husband and daughter.
The movie couldnt have been on more than twenty minutes before Karlie adjusted herself so that she was snuggled into Kurts chest, her chin linked over his shoulder, not even facing the TV anymore, and he felt her breathing even out. He placed a throw-blanket over his chest and scooted closer to Blaine, who wrapped his arm around Kurt and pulled him closer.
The two adults watched the movie in silence, the only noises were the TV and the tiny occasional snore that came out of the three year old snoozing on Kurts chest. When the credits ran across the screen Blaine sat up with a stretch.
"I think its time for someone to go to bed." He smiled at the sound asleep girl. Kurt leaned towards him, letting him carry her back to her room. He padded down the hall to the room at the end of the hall and entered, smiling at the organized mess on the floor, he bent down to put her in the toddler bed shed recently moved into. He tucked her in under the Disney princess covers and kissed her forehead. Tiny brown eyes fluttered open.
"Daddy?"
"Yeah baby?"
"Is Santa coming tonight?" She asked, barely a whisper.
"He sure is, honey." He smiled when she beamed. "But not unless you sleep like a good little girl."
"But I cant sleep daddy! Im too excited!" Now she seemed more awake than before. "Sing for me!"
"Okay.. But only one song and then you have to try to sleep. Okay?"
"Okay daddy!"
"Children sleeping, snow is softly falling." Blaine sang the song from the familiar song from the movie theyd been watching. Karlie watched with big eyes, that slowly closed at the song.
"If you just believe, just believe." The younger man finished the song before leaning over the side of the toddler bed, kissing the top of his daughters head.
"Nigh-nigh daddy. Nigh-nigh papa." She whispered and pulled the blankets up to her chin.
The two men spent the next three hours awake making sure that the presents were under the tree and wrapped, and that there were a few missing cookies from the plate left by the fireplace. The less than eight hours of sleep werent exactly what they wanted, but when Karlie was jumping on their bed just before six A.M they couldnt say no. And when she was sqealing excitedly over her new toys it was completely worth it.
