"But the grinch who lived just north of whoville did not." 

Blaine smiled at Kurt, who was reading to Karlie, the four year old was just old enough to love the book this time of the year.  He listened to his husband tell the story to their four year old who giggled at the silly rhymes and gasped at the mean things the fictional character did. 

Karlie watched her papa as he told the story, looking completely and totally mesmorized by the things he said. She grinned up at him while he spoke. 

Blaine rememebered how Kurt had insisted that Karlie heard the story of How The Grinch Stole Christmas because his mother had read it to him when he was a child, every year. 

Kurt finished the story and looked down at Karlie who was yawning. 

"Looks like its time for someone to go to bed." He smiled when her arms wrapped around his neck and her legs wrapped around his waist. Halfway down the hallway the girl whispered in his ear. 

"I love you papa." She closed her eyes with a smile and started to drift off.

Kurt smiled, this definitely was his favorite time of the year.
