“You are so lucky that Rachel had all this fancy recording equipment,” Kurt said as soon as Cooper opened the door. “I have like fifteen recorders.”
“Why does one girl need that many?” Cooper raised his eyebrows but took a few boxes from the other boy.
“I don’t pretend to understand her,” He sighed as they made their way through the living room. “So…do we just set these up?”
“My understanding is that we put them around the house and ask questions. The recorders should…”
“What are you doing?”
Cooper was not proud of the squeak he made when Blaine suddenly appeared behind them.
“Christ Blaine, you just about gave me permanent heart palpitations,” Cooper let out a shaky breath. “I thought you were staying after school to get caught up on schoolwork.”
“I was,” A small smile remained on his face. “I’ll ask again, what are you doing?”
“We’re recording EVP’s,” Kurt explained, blush rising on his cheeks. “Electronic voice phenomena.”
“We’re trying to record the ghosts,” Cooper blurted.
Blaine’s smile vanished and was replaced by a worried look.
“You shouldn’t do that,” He muttered.
“We’re not expecting anything out of it,” Kurt took a step forward but Blaine flinched back. “It’s just that we’re…”
“Curious,” Cooper shrugged.
“He wont like that,” Blaine blurted, eyes wide.
“…who?”
Blaine blinked back at them and glanced down at his trembling hands. For a moment his breathing quickened and his eyes grew fuzzy before he came back to himself.
“Blaine,” Kurt stepped forward, laying an arm on his shoulder. “Who wont like that?”
Shaking his head, Blaine slid down onto the couch. He wrapped his arms around himself and looked so scared that the other two got closer.
“Just please don’t,” He begged softly.
“Okay,” Cooper smiled and nodded as he pressed record on one of the devices. “You know you’re safe here right?”
“I know,” Blaine smiled shakily. “I’m sorry, I’m just a little fuzzy from the meds. Don’t pay any attention to me.”
“Is someone in here with us?” Cooper tried, wincing at the phrasing. “Blaine are you seeing anyone right now?”
“No,” Blaine whispered but his eyes flicked around the room. “Of course not.”
“I’m sorry hun,” Kurt smiled and sat down next to him. “I think we just got caught up in the moment. Puck was over last weekend and insisted that we watch all of the Paranormal Activity movies.”
“We’re just worried,” Cooper bounced from foot to foot.
“Well don’t be,” Blaine snapped. “I’m fine.”
Kurt rested his head on Blaine’s shoulder, feeling the tension slowly drain. Soon the other boy was sagging slightly against him and sighed.
“Maybe I am going crazy,” Blaine whispered.
“No you’re not,” Kurt shook his head.
“I just…” Blaine let out a moan and scrubbed at his face. “I just think I’m losing it a little.”
“Give the meds some time to work,” Cooper rubbed his shoulder.
Blaine’s lips drew into a thin line and he nodded sharply. He trembled faintly and Kurt could feel goose bumps rising on his arms.
“I can order us pizza. What do you want?” Cooper asked, standing up but Blaine stared ahead blankly.
“What?”
“What do you want?”
“Anything,” He said quickly.
“How about you two pick out a movie while I call this in?” Kurt nodded and pulled a blanket to cover himself and the shivering Blaine as they looked through the movies.
As he stepped into the other room he turned off the recorder. With a deep breath he ordered the pizza and grabbed a pair of earphones.
The recorder was incredibly detailed with an insane number of buttons and dials but Cooper finally got it figured out and played back the last conversation. As much as he wanted to ask more questions he really didn’t want to scare Blaine so it was as much as he was going to get.
”You know you’re safe here right?”
“I know, I’m sorry, I’m just a little fuzzy from the meds. Don’t pay any attention to me.”
“Is someone in here with us? Blaine are you seeing anyone right now?”
“No, of course not.”

“I just…I just think I’m losing it a little.”
“Give the meds some time to work,”
“I can order us pizza. What do you want?”
“What?”
“What do you want?”
“Anything,”
With a jump, Cooper paused the tape and rewound it. He adjusted the volume and held his breath as he played part of it again.
”I can order us pizza. What do you want?”
“I want help.”
“What?”
He leapt almost a mile out of his skin. A faint, whispered voice had said he needed help.
Something had actually answered him.
“Cooper!” Blaine’s call startled him and he cursed himself for being so jumpy. “We picked a movie!”
Shaking slightly he hurried back into the room and settled on the other couch. He could hardly pay attention to Mean Girls and spent most of it staring at his brother.
Once the movie was over and the pizza eaten, both boys stood up.
“I can drive you home,” Blaine offered Kurt with a smile.
“You feeling up to it?” Cooper broke in, getting a small glare in response.
“Totally. I feel great,” He stretched a little. “I think I just needed some food in me.”
“Call if you need me,” The older man smiled at them and with a quick goodbye they left.
Blaine laughed as they sang along to the radio, his eyes were bright and his smile was wide. Feeling a rush of emotion, Kurt grabbed his boyfriend’s hand and squeezed.
“I love you, you know?” He said.
“I love you too,” Blaine smiled. “So much.”
They kissed for a few long minutes before Kurt had to go back into the house.
“I’ll see you tomorrow?” He asked as he opened the door.
“Of course,” Blaine gave him a wave.
As soon as the door closed, Blaine drove back home. His mood was so high that he rolled the windows down and just enjoyed the wind in his hair.
He turned into the garage and shut it, reaching for the key. Suddenly he became overwhelmed with exhaustion and his fingers slid past the key, boneless. Blaine’s head flopped back against the seat and his eyes grew heavy.
Hush a bye, don’t you cry.
With a soft whimper, he fell asleep.

Cooper had listened to the tape a few more times after the couple had left and ever time he got a chill up his spine.
”What do you want?”
“I want help”
He heard the garage open and close and slid the thin recorder into his pocket. Twisting his hands together he waited for Blaine to come inside.
He waited a while for Blaine to come inside.
Finally he stood up and walked to the door to the garage, concerned. Pressing his ear to the door he could hear the car engine running.
“Blaine?” He called and began to panic a little when he didn’t answer. “Hey Blaine?”
Cooper bit his lip and tried to turn the door knob but it wouldn’t budge. He tried to turn it harder and began to jerk on it as hard as he could.
“Blaine!” He shouted, kicking at the door.
A rush of cold air made him cry out and the door knob burned red hot. With a gasp, he stumbled backwards and stared at the door.
“Let him go!” He shouted. “Fuck you! Let him go! He’s done nothing to you. Franklin Gallaway, let Blaine go!”
Everything seemed to freeze and he held his breath for a moment. Then the door swung open and a gust of car exhaust made him cough and take a step back.
“Blaine,” He choked out as he stumbled into the garage, holding his tshirt over his mouth and nose.
His younger brother was slumped over in his seat, half hanging out of the window and not breathing.
“No, no, no, no,” Cooper chanted, catching his brother as he fell out of the car when the door was opened.
He dragged Blaine into the house and lay him on the floor, heart pounding. In a panic he grabbed the phone, dialed 911 and put it on speaker phone.
“911, what is your emergency” The calm voice answered.
“My brother…he was in the garage with the car running and now he’s not waking up and not breathing and oh God.”
“Sir, stay calm,” The woman said gently. “We have your location and we’ve sent an ambulance. Is your brother away from the carbon monoxide? Get him to fresh air.”
“Yes, yes we’re in the living room,” Cooper sobbed into the phone.
“Do you know how to do CPR?”
“Mmhmm,” Cooper leaned down and opened Blaine’s mouth, giving him a few breaths before he started doing compressions.
It seemed like years before the sirens reached his house and the EMT’s ran in. A young woman gently pulled the nearly hysterical Cooper back as they checked Blaine’s vitals and placed an oxygen mask on his face.
“Sir,” She smiled reassuringly. “They’ll take care of your brother. Do you want to ride with him to the hospital?”
“Yes,” Cooper nodded, tears streaming down his face.
There was a huge gasp for air and Blaine jerked from where he was laying. One of the paramedics clapped him on the back a few times and laughed.
“Glad you’re back with us kiddo,” He grinned as Blaine sucked in huge mouthfuls of oxygen.
Blaine turned his head from side to side as he blinked blearily and shook.
“We’re going to take you to the hospital,” The paramedic explained as he loaded him up on a gurney.
“He’s been diagnosed with epilepsy,” Cooper blurted as they moved towards the ambulance. “He’s on medication.”
The paramedics kept giving him that wide, supposedly reassuring smile as they raced to the emergency room. Cooper just kept squeezing his brother’s hand tightly and tried his hardest not to fall apart.
He was pulled into a waiting room where he gave a long detailed list of everything Blaine had been through medically. Once he was finally done he collapsed into a plastic chair and dialed Kurt’s number.
“Cooper? It’s late,” Kurt mumbled.
“I’m at the hospital,” The feeling of déjà vu was overwhelming. “Fuck Kurt…it tried to kill Blaine.”
“What?” Kurt’s whisper could barely be heard.
“He drove home and just passed out in the garage with the car running,” He could feel his chest tighten again and he had to fight a sob. “He wasn’t breathing.”
“Where is he now? How is he?” He heard Kurt explain the situation to his father and a car starting. “We’re on our way.”
“He started breathing when the EMTs got there. I don’t know how he is now, the doctor is still working on him,” His voice dropped to a whisper. “Kurt, I swear it was that thing in the house. It did this.”
“I know Cooper,” Kurt whispered back. “We can talk about that later.”
“Hold on, the doctor is coming out,” He stood up as a tall man in scrubs walked out and smiled at Cooper.
“We’re close.”
“Okay,” Cooper sighed. “Let me talk to you then. See you soon.”
He hung up and walked up to the doctor. The worry must have been obvious on his face since the man gave him a reassuring smile and patted him on the arm.
“Your brother is just fine. He had a seizure when he was parking and is incredibly lucky that you were there,” He rubbed Cooper’s arm as the other man’s body sagged in relief. “He needs a few hours of rest and he can go home.”
“Thank God,” Cooper covered his face with his hands.
“We’re pretty sure that it wasn’t a suicide attempt,” He continued. “His brain activity is consistent with a seizure. I just think he tried to do too much too soon and his body got over stressed. It happens.”
“Can I see him?” He asked desperately.
“Of course,” The doctor nodded as Kurt and his father rushed in.
“He’s okay,” Cooper grinned, feeling almost giddy. “He’s going to be okay. He had a seizure while turning the car off. It was an accident but he’s going to be okay.”
Burt relaxed almost instantly but Kurt still remained stiff, staring with wide eyes at the older man.
“This is Blaine’s boyfriend and his father,” Cooper explained. “Can they come back as well?”
“If it’s okay with you,” The doctor glanced at Cooper who nodded. “How about we get that burn of yours looked at while you’re back there?”
Cooper blinked and glanced down at the burn on the palm that had begun to blister. The pain finally made itself known and he cradled it to his chest as he followed the doctor.
“Blaine,” Kurt gasped as they stepped into the room and rushed to his boyfriend’s side.
“Kurt?” His head turned towards him.
“I’m here,” Kurt stroked the back of his knuckles.
“Hey,” Burt placed a hand on his back. “I’m heading home. Give me a call when Blaine is ready and I can pick you guys up.”
“You both are staying at our house,” Kurt explained quickly.
“Thank you very much sir,” Cooper smiled at him tiredly.
“Don’t worry about it,” Burt shrugged and turned to Blaine who was lightly dozing. “Glad to see you’re okay kiddo. I’ll get a bed set up at our house.”
“’anks sr’umm,” Blaine murmured and with a chuckle, Kurt’s father stepped out.
Cooper suddenly turned to Kurt, eyes wide.
“Kurt, I heard it,” He whispered quickly. “I heard whatever the hell is in the house. It wants help. Something is there and it…”
“Shut the hell up,” Kurt hissed back and Cooper sat up. “Jesus Cooper, I don’t know what you were thinking. You pissed it off and it hurt Blaine.”
“I called it out when it was attacking him,” He argued. “It’s Gallaway and I think it answered.”
“Blaine could have died,” Kurt shuddered. “This isn’t Casper or some kind but misguided soul. This thing is evil.”
“I just want to know what it wants!”
“It wants Blaine,” Kurt ducked his head a little, eyes narrowing. “It’s not going to stop. So, go on and do your ghost hunting or whatever but do it on your own.”
“You were perfectly willing to help me earlier,” Cooper muttered.
“That was before it tried to kill Blaine,” Kurt bit his lip. “What are you parents going to think when they hear that Blaine shut himself in a garage with the car running? They’ll put him in some kind of mental institution!”
“They wouldn’t…”
“But they would keep him out of school. Just leave it alone. You’re making it worse,” Kurt snapped.
The room was absolutely silent until Blaine groaned.
“I wanna go home,” He whispered.
“You’re coming to my house baby,” Kurt stroked the back of his knuckles. “Just rest.”
A few hours later, Blaine was more awake and proved that he had no ill effects from the poisoning. Wrapped in a blanket, Blaine was taken back to the Hummel-Hudson’s home and curled up on Kurt’s bed.
“So what happened?” Finn asked as Kurt fixed up a glass of warm milk.
“He had a seizure,” Kurt said quickly, glancing over at Cooper who was leaning against the kitchen counter. “It happened at a bad time and he got hurt but he is going to be fine. He’ll be fine if we just don’t make a big deal out of this.”
“I need some sleep,” Cooper’s shoulder’s were stiff.
“Goodnight,” If Finn noticed the tension in the room he didn’t mention it and gave Cooper a small wave.
That night Kurt curled up with Blaine and Cooper lay in bed by himself, staring up at the ceiling.
Around three in the morning Cooper saw a small amount of movement in the corner of the guest room.
He sat up quickly, eyes wide, and stared at the faint shape.
“Hello?” He asked softly into the room. “Is anyone there?”
“He wont stop.”
“Fuck!” Cooper scrambled to the other end of the bed, heart beating wildly.
A teenaged boy sat on the other side of the bed, staring at him with wide hazel eyes. He was wearing old fashioned clothing and his hair was neatly slicked back.
“Um…William Gallaway?” He asked gently and the boy smiled.
“It has been a long time since someone said my name,” His shoulders slumped slightly.
“Am I dreaming?”
“Perhaps,” William shrugged and blurred a little at the edges. “Regardless I’ve been wanting to speak with you for a long time.”
“Why haven’t you ever talked to me before?” Cooper asked warily feeling a little calmer.
“I can’t in that house,” The boy’s body faded a little. “He won’t let me talk to people but I see everything.”
“Your father?” Cooper guessed getting a nod in return.
“Your brother is in danger,” William’s eyes seemed much clearer. “Like the other boys and my father will not take you stopping him lightly. When he killed the others he did it quickly but he’s angry now.”
“What does that mean?” Cooper leaned forward, worried.
“That he…” William fell silent and looked up at the ceiling for a moment before he faded even more. “He’s here.”
“What?”
“He’ll follow Blaine. You have to stop him,” William’s eyes widened in fear. “Please, stop him. Help us.”
“How?” Cooper asked, panicked. “How do I do that?”
William opened his mouth to answer but shrunk back and disappeared in a blink of an eye. For a moment, Cooper just sat there in shock before jumping out of bed and hurrying up the stairs to Kurt’s room.
He heard the whimpers and moans before he got to the door and when he stepped in, Kurt was placing a cool washcloth to Blaine’s forehead. Blaine’s eyes were glazed with fever, he was white as a sheet, and he was trembling faintly.
“He’s burning up,” Kurt whispered, worried.
Cooper walked over to the side of the bed and placed a hand on Blaine’s chest, feeling the heat radiating off of him.
“I want to go home,” Blaine whispered. “Please, I just want to go home.”

This is amazing! I can't wait for more!
I literally freaked when I saw that you updated this. It's so freaking good! I can't wait for the next chapter!
Woww I think i am freaked out. You said "His brain activity is consistent with a seizure. I just think he tried to do too much too soon and his body got over stressed. It happens."How does it show signs of seizures if he is possessed? And Cooper knows he is so why does he keep saying he has Epilepsy and seizures? And why is he still letting him take that medicine if it just makes him sick and he doesn't really have that? I am glad Kurt is helping and Cooper told him what's going on
