I am so sorry if this chapter is so short. Please please review! I love all of you :)

As soon as Kurt left, I went to clean up my face. It had confused me when Kurt had been so concerned about me. I wouldve thought that he wouldve cared less about what happened, but it was probably a one-time thing, that would never happen again. The painkillers took their time to kick in, but as soon as they did I fell asleep, but not before remembering to lock my door.

At school the next day, everyone just kept staring at my face, though no one bothered to ask, even though I wouldve probably made something up about what had happened. I could hardly concentrate on any of my work, because of the constant throbbing in my head. I had only a limited amount of painkillers to take for the day and by social studies class, I had taken all of them.

"Our first week of working on this project is nearly over, so only three more weeks until the assignment is due. I hope you all have at least finished most of your note taking," Ms. Fisher said to the class.

I laid my head on the desk, because it was hurting so much. I usually didnt do this and I could tell that Ms. Fisher looked worried, as did Kurt. Everyone else began to work on their projects, while Ms. Fisher came over to me.

"Is everything okay Blaine?" she asked me in concern.

"Um, yeah, of course. Im absolutely fine." My head shot up off the desk and I pretended to do some work.

"How did you get that bruise?" She asked me.

"I accidentally tripped over the coffee table and I bumped my head on the wall," I lied, trying to sound convincing.

"Did you hurt yourself anywhere else?" She worriedly kept questioning me.

"No Ms. Fisher."

"Do you need to see the nurse or anything like that?"

"No, Im okay." I lied again.

"If you need anything, just ask me okay?" She told me with a worriedly look still on her face.

"Yes Ms. Fisher."

"You know that youre a pretty bad liar," Kurt said as soon as Ms Fisher had left to go talk to someone else.

"I have no idea what youre talking about, Kurt," I said, trying to look as if I was doing something by elevating my head with my hand and trying to put our notes into sentences.

"Blaine, for one, you dont have a coffee table and two, you had a bloody nose. How did you get those bruises, Blaine?"

"I bumped my head, okay? Its no big deal."

"You dont need a whole packet of painkillers just because you bumped your head."

"How the fuck do you know that? What have you been doing, stalking me or something?"

"No…yes…maybe. I dont know, okay? And anyway, how can you explain the bloody nose? Whats going on?"

"Nothing, okay? Its none of your business what goes on in my life. I thought youd be happy to see me like that all bashed and bloodied, because you just love to hate someone who has done absolutely nothing to you."

"Sorry, Blaine! Im sorry for actually caring, okay? Wouldnt you care if someone you knew just turned up covered in blood? With absolutely no truthful explanation about what happened to them."

"Yeah, well. Maybe that someone just wants to be left alone, okay? Maybe all that someone has ever wanted was to be left alone!"

"Maybe alone is not the best way to be." He tried to convince me.

"How do you know that, when for the majority of that someones life, youve hated them for no reason at all?" I questioned.

"Blaine, stop! Please, just stop, okay?"

"Why Kurt? Why should I? Who the fuck put you up to this, huh? Was it Jake? Was it Puck? What did they want to achieve from you doing this? Another reason for me to feel like shit? To make me feel hopeless and useless and just Goddamn broken? Is that what you want from me?"

"No," Kurt simply stated.

"Then what Kurt? What is it that you want from me?" I asked, just as the bell rang for the beginning of lunch.

"I want to know how you ended up like that."

"Its because Im a little faggot who should go kill himself," I said, repeating what I had heard Kurt say the day before. I gathered up all my things and left the classroom. I knew that

Kurts eyes were still on me, constantly following.

When you pour salt on slugs, they dissolve into nothing right before your eyes. This is because the slug dehydrates, so that the water inside its body begins to flow out. This also works with leeches and snails. And sometimes also with people like me who really are too thin-skinned to stand up for themselves.

The bus ride home was long, bumpy and also unbelievably painful. Every time the bus ran over a pothole or bump in the road, my head began to hurt. And to make matters worse I had to stand up for most of the duration of the ride, so I couldnt even sleep on the way back home. Kurt had given up trying to figure out my life. I knew that I had gotten to him with my last comment. Now he knew that I knew everything that he ever said about me. He now knew just how much it hurt every time he said any of those things. But the thing is that you cant take back something that was already said. Its just like you cant undo something that has already happened.

Things just dont work that way.
