"You know, you should totally come and visit us for the weekend." Jeff said while taking the iPad from Nick's hands. He sat in his lap and repositioned so Blaine could see them both now.
"Hi Jeff, nice to join us for once."
"Screw you B. I have to work here too." retorted Jeff while showing him the middle finger.
"Yeah, but you're like never home. What are you doing exactly anyway?"
"Look, working for one of the main heads at the BBC isn't easy."
Blaine laughed at that. "Yeah right. Being Moffat's little secretary is so much hard work."
"BLAINE DEVON ANDERSON, YOU TRY TO WORK FOR THE DEVIL HIMSELF AND THAN YOU CAN COMPLAIN!" Jeff yelled at him. Everybody underrated his job and he had enough.
"Baby, relax. Blaine is just messing with you. We're all very proud of you and your work although we joke about it a lot." Nick reassured Jeff and gave him a kiss on the nose. Jeff leaned his head on Nick's shoulder and kissed his jaw in return.
Blaine watched the scene before him with envy. Kurt is gone for the next 2 weeks to some store openings in Europe and other fancy events he has to show up. In the end that means he'll spend his birthday having a fabulous time in Berlin or Rome with Valerie instead of him. He wanted to take some time off but Hunter, the new owner and manager of the Factory, gave him finally a chance to play some of his music which included a few gigs he couldn't miss. Kurt was okay with that and told Blaine that he didn't like to celebrate his birthday anyway. Of course that was a lie and Blaine knew he had to make something special like his amazing boyfriend did for him. The problem was only he had not so much money to spend and had no idea what he could get Kurt. New Jimmy Choo leather boots? A Burberry scarf? A trip to Hawaii? Something self-made?
"Yeah, I'm sorry Jeff if I offended you in any way." Blaine apologized.
"It's okay. I'm just a bit dramatic as usual."
"Did you get to meet Benedict Cumberbatch yet?"
"NO HE HASN'T AND HE WON'T MEET ONE OF THE HOTTEST SINGLE GUYS WALKING ON THIS EARTH." Nick overreacted.
"Okay guys what's up with you two? Why are you so tense lately?" Blaine asked genuinely.
"I don't know. One of our theories that we miss you, New York and the rest of our friends."
"Then come and visit us! It's almost Thanksgiving anyway."
"You do know they don't celebrate it here and we can't just take a vacation?" Nick asked Blaine.
"Damn, I forgot about that. Maybe I really should come and visit you two?"
"Of course you should you dumbass, it is about freaking time you see what I made out of this apartment!" Jeff told Blaine sincerely.
"But I have to surprise Kurt for his birthday, which I'm clueless about by the way."
"How do you mean clueless?"
"Well, clueless as in what the actual fuck am I going to do to make him happy?"
Nick and Jeff sighed simultaneously and said "Oh honey."

"Look Kurt, I'm going to be honest with you. We need a new fresh store here in Paris." said Georgina, one of the main people at Vogue Paris.
"What do you mean exactly by that?"
"That we need you here in Europe too. Every month we see a majestic photo-shoot with some of your pieces from our team in New York. I'm not going to lie, we are jealous."
"So you'd like me to open a store here?"
"Oui."
Merde. "I'm not sure about that. We didn't plan to expend until next summer."
Georgina took a better look at Kurt and stood up. She moved to sit on the edge of her huge glass desk and crossed her perfectly tanned legs graciously.
"You must be joking, right?"
"No, not really."
"Okay, let me get this straight. You Kurt Hummel are a little fashion genius who has a bright future ahead of him if he is willing to risk a little. Let's take a better look at this opportunity- what are the downsides of having a store in Paris? You have to find an awesome showroom, maybe an apartment too because you'll have to spend some time here while you make the showroom ready. You'll have to hire some people here, start a production and do a fabulous opening party which will be promoted by us. All this is nothing when you think of the money and reputation you'll get all over the world. Why only be on one continent when we have 7 to conquer?"
Kurt thought about what Georgina said. He always wanted to live and work in New York, but Paris was a very special town to him. The main problem about the store was that he'll have to spend more time without Blaine. Oh perfect Blaine. He had no idea how hard he'd fall for the cute stranger he met here months ago. But here he is, reconsidering one of his dreams just to be with a simple man who made him the happiest guy alive.
"You know, Antarctica isn't really a place where people care about fashion." Kurt said sarcastically. He had enough of this. Couldn't she let him go already so he can reconsider this in peace?
She gave him a pointed look. "I want an answer in a week."
Kurt stood up and took his bag. "Alright, you'll get one. Au revior."
He took a cab to his hotel. During the drive he watched the beautiful city lights and the old buildings with their own charm. Falling in love with Paris wouldn't be a problem, he's anyway almost there.
The problem was falling out of love with Blaine.

How to surprise your boyfriend for his birthday – a plan by Blaine Anderson
1. Talk to Valerie and ask where he will be staying at that time
2. Book a plane ticket for that city
3. Make a reservation at one of those rooftops restaurants
4. Make him a mix of songs that reminds you of him
5. And ask one of Jeff's artist friends to make a beautiful portrait
6. Buy some chocolate and the hugest bouquet of roses you can find
Everything was done in a second after the plan was finished. Valerie told him that they prolonged their stay in Paris because of some business opportunities, so he immediately booked a flight for the 3rd and arranged the rest.
He looked at his watch and realized it was almost midnight there and Kurt hasn't even made an effort to contact him today, so he sent him a message on Facebook.
Blaine Anderson
Hi beautiful, I'm just here to tell you I worry because you didn't answer any of my messages anywhere. I hope your day was successful and that you fell into a blissful dream by now. If something happened please tell me how I can help you. Please just let me know you're okay. I love you Kurt. xoxo

"...I love you Kurt xoxo. Oh my Lagerfeld, Rachel what am I going to do?" said a crying and desperate Kurt. He didn't know what to do so he took a bottle of wine and skyped with Rachel for advice.
"Kurt he really cares about you. Don't throw that away just because of nothing. You can have him and the store, he'll understand." Rachel told him.
"But how? He has a job in New York, friends and family too. He's not ready to move to another continent just because the guy he's dating for some months is moving there and wants him by his side!"
"How do you know he's not ready? Maybe he will..." started Rachel but Kurt cut her off.
"How I know? Well he hasn't even found his place in that country, how in the name of Versace will he find his place here? In a new country where he's miles away from his friends and family, where he doesn't speak the language or has a job. He'd have me and that's it. And I'd have to work all day so he'd be alone in the end. I can't do this to him Rach. He'll be better off without me." Kurt concluded.
"I think you're handling it wrong."
Kurt raised his head and his perfect eyebrow "Excuse you?"
"Yeah. Snap out of this whole oh- my- God- I- can't-have-everything-I-want-because-karma-is-a-bitch story. You can have both, you'll just have to travel a lot and skype with him instead of me."
"Rachel Barbara Berry please remind yourself how my last long distance relationship ended."
"Blaine is not a psycho who will stalk you and demand a full report on your daily activities."
Kurt sighed in frustration. "I know. But..."
"Kurt don't make this more complicated than it already is. Just talk to him and you'll work it out somehow." Rachel told him softly.
"Okay. You're right. I'll do it."

Over the next days Kurt assured Blaine that everything is fine, although it wasn't true, and that he was just too exhausted to write a response that day. Blaine thought it was strange and was glad he was sitting in a plane to France.
Every little thing was going smoothly in his plan for now and he hoped everything would stay like that until he surprised his boyfriend. Valerie picked him up at the airport and took him to the hotel where they stayed. Kurt went gift hunting because "it doesn't matter who's birthday it is. I need to buy a gift, even for myself." so Blaine had some time to prepare the room with rose petals, candles and the rest of perfect romantic decoration.
~
Around 6 p.m. Kurt entered his hotel room and was immediately confused.
When the hell did this happen? Is Valerie totally out of her mind?
"If you're thinking that's all Valerie's fault I'll have to disappoint you." Blaine said while appearing behind the wall with the biggest bouquet of red roses imaginable and the happiest smile Kurt has seen on him in a while. He didn't hesitate to drop his bags and run towards Blaine to crush him to death.
Blaine opened his arms and welcomed the blue eyed man in a tight hug. He could finally rest his head on perfectly sculptured shoulders and the smell the most perfect scent he adored so much. Kurt couldn't wait to run his hands through loose black curls he dreamt of every night. He closed the gap between their lips which didn't touch for too long with a tender kiss. Passion was evident in their touches and couldn't be hold back this time.
"Mmhm, Blaine" Kurt moaned while Blaine bit on his earlobe. "What are you doing here?"
"Right now I'm trying to stop myself before it goes too far but I'm failing at that."
Kurt kissed him and asked for permission with his tongue which Blaine gladly granted. They played with each other's tongue like they never shared a deep kiss.
"Please don't stop." Kurt said between kisses.
"But we have some plans we shouldn't really miss." Blaine said apologetically.
Kurt stopped for a second and looked at the hazel eyes he missed so much. He raised his hand and brushed his thumb over Blaine's cheek.
"I don't care what we're going to miss. My biggest birthday wish came true and please let me enjoy it."
"Your biggest birthday wish?"
"You. Just you and me spending time together." Blaine's breath hitched at that sentence.
"I know it's your birthday but can I ask you for something?"
Kurt pecked Blaine's lips and laughed. "Of course you can silly."
"Please make love to me."
Kurt just kissed Blaine passionately once again and poured all of his emotions in it instead of trying to give him a coherent answer. As usual he started to laugh during it, took Blaine's hands and guided them to bed.
