Chapter  5

" Wait! Hold on! Oh my god! YOU DID WHAT?"

Kurt was starting to regret telling his very annoying best friend about what happened with him and Axle. He promised the singer that he wouldn't out him, and he definitely was NOT going to do that. He just had to tell someone about the crazy day he had and Rachel was the only person he could talk to.

"Okay, Rach first of all I did nothing, it was all him and second, if you're going to react like this the whole time I'm telling you I -"

" I'm sorry Kurt! But you have to admit what your telling me isn't something you expect to hear after not seeing your best friend for 3 years! Which I'm a little mad about by the way. I know we text, call, and Skype all the time but we don't actually see each other! And when you do actually come to New York, it's for work and-
"Rachel will you just shut up and let me finish?!" If Kurt had anyone else in the world to tell, he would definitely indulge them in his encounter with the rock star. But, he didn't so he decided to continue ignoring the fact that If Rachel wanted to see him, she could have very well hopped on a plane to California and visit Kurt. She was the one who made it big on Broadway and very well had the money to do so. But, after years of being friends with pretty much the biggest diva in all of Lima, Ohio he knew better than to bring it up and continued.

 "So after he kissed me..."

Kurt would have normally pushed the boy off of him, but he found himself giving into the kiss.

 I mean, who could blame him? He just found out his high school crush was gay and not to mention kissing him albeit rather messily but still sending shivers through his spine. This was something that he was 100 percent sure can only happen in his dreams.

"Kurt..."

*Knock Knock Knock*

Oh, right... they were in Axle's dressing room. And Kurt was supposed to be interviewing him for the magazine, not making out. But god, did it feel good!

The singer scrambled off of him just in time as his manager's assistant walked in.

"Hey Sue said to tell reporter boy here that his times up." Sebastian said with a quizzical eye.

"Oh! Perfect timing! We just finished and I was on my way out to leave!"  That was a lie. Kurt didn't even get half way through the questions he prepared for the interview. But he couldn't stay inside the room any longer, he felt dizzy and he wasn't exactly sure what just happened between him the singer. Wait no - he knew exactly what just happened! The singer of a world famous rock band who was supposed to be straight just professed to him a huge - no gigantic- no monumental secret that he was gay! Oh, and to put the cherry on top of the cake, he kissed him.

As Kurt was about to make his way out the door, he felt a pair of hands on him. "W-when ami gonna see you again?" the singer asked to both his and the assistant's surprise.

"Ya know ta finish da interview?" Oh. Right... to be the drunken one in the room, he was obviously the only one thinking clearly.

"Uh, um, I don't know. Whenever you're free. Sorry, but I REALLY have to go."

"Kurt! You just... left? Why?!"

"Why?  What do you mean why? We're you not just listening to anything I said?" Kurt asked looking at Rachel like she just took a knife to his favorite McQueen jacket.

"Yes! And that's why I'm asking! He clearly wants to see you again!"

"Yeah, well of course! We never finished the interview and he-"

"Kurt Hummel! You and I both know that's not the reason he wants to see you again."

Yeah, Kurt knew the real reason why Blaine wanted to see him again. But why him? Yes, he knows the singer is in the closet and anyone with working gaydar could tell that Kurt is gay. But, he wasn't going to be some experiment for some confused rock star. No...He already experienced that in high school and had gotten his first kissed taken from him by this neanderthal who just wanted to "experiment".

However, Kurt couldn't shake how he felt when they kissed. It was like nothing he felt before. He hadn't felt it with Sam, Michael, and definitely NOT Kurofsky. It just felt... right.

"Ugh. Whatever, I walked out the room and ran towards the nearest exit before even arranging another meeting! What am I supposed to do now? My boss wants the article done in 2 weeks! How am I going to finish this if I can't find the band?"

"... I -  I don't know. But the Kurt Hummel I know wouldn't miss the opportunity of a lifetime to at least get to know the lead singer of his favorite band and the person who he was in love with for all of high school."

"Rachel, that was high school! And besides you should have seen him! He was nothing like how I imagined! Yes of course, he was still hot as ever but you should have seen him Rach -  he was a mess!"

Rachel didn't say anything; she just stared at Kurt hoping that he would finally come to his senses.

"Ah! You know what? I think I overheard someone in the audience talking about a small little concert the band was doing tonight... Maybe I can find him there?"

Finally. " Yeah, that sounds like the perfect start." Rachel smiled.

"Uh, um, I don't know. Whenever you're free. Sorry, but I REALLY have to go." 

"What the hell was that about?" Sebastian asked curiously.

Blaine didn't answer he just couldn't stop thinking about the way he felt while Kurt's lips were on his. It was as if there were explosions going off on his lips. Like, all the pigeons in New York were right there in his stomach flapping away. Like, the fireworks from the Macy's day parade were erupting in every single part of his body. It just felt right.  Like, that was the way it was supposed to be.
