Chapter 1
It was 20 minutes until his band's live performance.
He could hear the thousands of people cheering and screaming for him.
"Blaine, wake the hell up dude! Were on in 20 minutes!" exclaimed his band mate.
"You know, I'm tired of this shit! This happens at every single performance!" he heard a faint voice but knew that they were in the same room.
Blaine stirred a little as he felt someone shaking him.
"W-where am I?" he asked.
"Oh my god, he doesn't even know where his is!" he opened his eyes a little and saw who the voice was coming from.
It was Wes, his best friend and fellow band member.
"H-Hey Wes... H- how did the show go? W-were we awesome?" Blaine said his voice slurring a little.
"No Blaine we weren't, and do you know why?"
Wes waited for Blaine to respond but when he didn't, Wes just continued.
"BECAUSE IT NEVER FUCKING HAPPENED BLAINE! Were supposed to go on stage in less than 15 minutes, and you're just lying here and nowhere near ready! I know we've performed here before, but come on Blaine! You pull this shit at every single performance! It's like you don't even -
Wes stopped as he noticed a hung over Blaine dozing off.
"BLAINEEEEEEEE!" he screamed
"W- what? Oh hey Wes!" Blaine said with a lazy smile.
"Just... Just get your ass ready. We have to perform in 10 minutes..." An irritated Wes said as he was walking out the door.
"Hey rock star! Fun time earlier huh?" laughed Sue, Blaine's manager
Blaine just moaned his voice full of annoyance.
"Well, I'm going to need for you to get up, and perform. Stop sulking in your own vomit and self-pity, it used to be cute, now it's just plain annoying." She declared as she walked out of the dressing room.
Blaine didn't even protest as his manager's assistant cleared the bottles of alcohol, kicked the "groupies" out the room, and wiped the dried vomit off his chest.
"UGH! I need a drink" he said.
"Sorry, Sue told me to give you this" the assistant said while handing him a cup of water and some asprin.
"FUCK SUE, SHE DOESN'T OWN ME!" Blaine screamed.
"You're just her little bitch Sebastian" he laughed.
"Well, "rock star" if I recall well... I thought I was your bitch" the boy smirked.
"Oh?" Blaine returned pulling Sebastian in for a sloppy kiss.
Blaine is gay. He always knew he was gay. But when he was venturing on the road the road to becoming famous Sue told him to keep that part of him a secret, saying "Nobody needs to know that you're a tickle-me-doe-face, especially not the public... Do you want fame or a boyfriend?"
All Blaine actually wanted was just to play music, to do what he loved professionally.
And to find love someday.
But, he didn't know when another opportunity to make it big would come or ever come again. So, he obliged, and "stayed in the closet" but... that never meant he couldn't have a little fun.
Sebastian was now putting sloppy wet kisses all over the boozed rock star.
As things were getting heated they were quickly interrupted.
"BLAAAAAAAAINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
They heard the footsteps getting closer and scrambled off of each other.
The door opened and Wes appeared, looking angry and very annoyed.
"Blaine! Let's go... NOW!"
Blaine took a swig of beer and proceeded to the stage.
A couple of years ago he would've been nervous, I mean come on, he was performing on one of the most famous stage in all of New York... Hell... Maybe in the entire world - Madison Square Garden.
Blaine always dreamed of coming to New York and making it big and living his dream. That was all he could think about for as long as he could remember! To get out of that stupid, homophobic, small town Lima, Ohio and live out the life of a rock star.
But, always waking up in a daze with bottles of booze littering the floor, girls whose name he didn't even know, and a splitting headache - Blaine couldn't help but wonder if this was the life he truly wanted.
I mean, yeah, the money and the fame was great.
And having thousands of fans around the world that supported his music was beyond overwhelming.
However, he still couldn't help but feel empty inside, living a life where he couldn't truly be himself.
But as he made his way to the stage, and stared out onto the crowd, where thousands of people were screaming his name
He couldn't help but feel good.
The chords of David's guitar went off, and the crowd went crazy.
Blaine smiled.
This is one feeling he would never get tired of.
He began to sing .
Home grown
Back to the rhythm and back to the beat of the radio
You ain't got the slang but you got the face to play the role
You can't play with me
The crowd continued to roar.
And all the bros
Try for the girls and try for tearing this tight clothes
She got a hiding all he has is his asshole
She'll be bothering me
Blaine moved expertly across the stage, giving his signature wink here and there.
And her hair do
He knows the lipstick kisses, oh, yeah that's the right move
Make me feel like I'm the one who moves you
The only one you see
Now take me down
Don't you let those tears quench the thirsty ground
Don't you be so scared that you can't make a sound
Make a sound on me here
All of Manhattan sing
'Cause New York swings the extra love the tales I bring
You know the rainy days they ain't so bad when you're the king
The king they want to see
The crowd of thousands went wild, as the singer continued to pour his heart in the lively song.
Home grown
So rock to the rhythm and bop to the beat of the radio
You ain't got the slang but you got the face to play the role
You can't play with me here
And her hair do
He knows the lipstick kisses, oh, yeah that's the right move
Make me feel like I'm the one who's moving you
The only one you see
All of Manhattan sing
'Cause New York swings the extra love the tales I bring
You know the rainy days they ain't so bad when you're the king
The king they want to see
After the crowd settled he spoke into the mic and screamed " HELLLOOOO MADISON SQUARE GARDEN!!!!!! MY NAME IS AXLE B AND WE ARE THE BLACK BIRDS!"
The crowd could hardly contain themselves.
Who needed love from just one person, when he could get it from thousands?
Yeah, Blaine could definitely get used to being the "King".
Fully knowing that by being "king" meant he would never truly be happy.
Song: Fans- Kings of Leon
