Kurt didn't have a crush on Blaine. Of course not.
How could he? They'd never actually met before. Sure, they texted constantly and skyped every night. And, okay, maybe they called each other during lunch and talked until they were almost late to class. And maybe Blaine knew things about Kurt that no one else knew. That didn't mean he had a crush on Blaine.
No, it meant that he was practically in love with him.
Kurt closed his eyes and fought against the headache that was threatening to overtake him. Being in love freaking sucked.
Not in every way, though. Blaine made Kurt happier than he had ever been. He understood Kurt in a way that no one in Lima ever could. Because Blaine was gay, and he had been bullied just as bad as Kurt until he switched to some prestigious school in New York. Kurt always felt a little bitter when he remembered that Blaine used to live in Ohio before they started talking.
Not to mention, Blaine was so much more than a gay boy that had once been bullied. He was handsome, and charming, and cultured, and well-meaning. He was short and he had a funny shaped birth mark on the back of his neck. When he laughed, his face scrunched up and Kurt could barely see his eyes through the grainy webcam. Blaine could sing, and he could dance, but he couldn't draw if his life depended on it. Blaine had layers, and he was interesting to Kurt in a way that no one else was.
He also lived hundreds of miles away. And, yeah, here comes the headache.
Just then, Kurt's phone began buzzing on his bedside table. He didn't even have to check to see if it was Blaine, because of course it was.
blaineanderson:wanna skype in 15 minutes? i miss your face.
Kurt couldn't help the smile that spread accross his face at the message.
kurthummel:i miss yours more.
