Kurt Hummel was no fool.

Well, at least, he thought he wasn’t.

After all, he’s Kurt Hummel; Fabulous, stylish and incredibly talented. Smart and a little sarcastic, he was probably one of the best people around in Lima. So, why would anyone think they could push him around? Make him feel like a marionette puppet?

Funnily enough, no one does.

Except Blaine Anderson.

Kurt was a very smart guy. He was constantly getting straight A’s, all of his teachers adored him, and thanks to his history with the football team and the Cheerio’s, everyone around school seemed to like him. Well, they were nice to his face, so therefore, Kurt couldn’t care less what they said about him behind his back.

But since Blaine Anderson arrived at McKinley, his rise on the social ladder seemed to be at a standstill. Kurt was no longer the only gay guy at McKinley, meaning that all the girls who were somewhat obsessed with the idea of having a “gay best friend” no longer went to Kurt. Kurt was approachable, sure, but Blaine Anderson had a compassionate look about him. As soon as he arrived, everyone found themselves wrapped around his little finger. He was kind, honest, and above all, very attractive.

That’s what Kurt hates most about him.

The fact that Blaine could easily just arrive at McKinley and immediately become popular made Kurt aggravated. Kurt had worked hard for 3 years to make sure his Senior Year at McKinley High School would not be as tragic as his freshman year, but thanks to this new guy, he might as well go throw himself in a dumpster right now.

The worst thing about Blaine Anderson was the fact he liked everybody, and disliked nobody. He was so genuine to everyone; the football players greeted him everyday with a high five or a pat on the back. The Cheerio’s would cheer for him as he waltzed down the halls, and even everyone in Glee liked him somehow. Glee was Kurt’s turf, therefore, he had crossed a line.

Without actually doing anything wrong.

But in Kurt’s eyes, he had done everything wrong. Kurt hated Blaine. He hated his gelled black locks, his wide honey eyes, his muscular arms and chest, his dazzling smile, his beautiful personality. But most of all, Blaine was friendly to Kurt. If anything, Kurt was someone Blaine could go to to talk about things. However, whenever approached, Kurt would storm away. Blaine didn’t deserve even to talk to him. If anything, the main reason Kurt hated Blaine was purely because he was jealous. He was adored by everyone, the teachers loved him, and he was everything that’s good in this god-forsaken universe. And Kurt didn’t ever want to waste his time with someone like Blaine.

After all, he was Kurt Hummel.

And he was Blaine Anderson.
