Three years later
Kurt woke up to another clap of thunder from outside. Rain pelted against the windows and lightning came soon after. He sat up and peeled off the covers, as he made his way out of bed and to the living room.
As he rounded the corner, he noticed the lights were already on, and he heard a small sniffle.
Blaine sat on the floor, next to the couch. Kurt couldn't quite see what he was holding in his hand.
"Blaine.."
Startled, Blaine looked up from his place on the floor.
"Sorry, I just... Didn't realize you were out here."
"No, it's fine. I was..." Blaine stuffed his hand in his pocket, along with something.
Kurt gave him a confused look.
"What are you looking at?" Kurt asked.
"Nothing," Blaine forced.
"You're crying. Why are you crying?"
Blaine swallowed hard before pulling a price of paper from his pocket.
"I was just.... I had a nightmare. About her." Blaine handed the paper to Kurt, who immediately flipped it over. It was a sonogram of their unborn child.
Kurt looked at it. He held it to his chest before taking Blaine hand and whispering "I'm sorry".
"For what...?" Blaine asked. Kurt felt tears stream down, and hit the floor.
"I didn't mean to..." Kurt said, dropping his head. He stared at the floor and let Blaine wrap his arms around him.
"You didn't... Do anything. Absolutely nothing."
Kurt rested his head on Blaine's shoulder.
"What would we have named her?"
"I don't know. We never thought about it, did we?"
"I like 'Melinda' " Kurt whispered.
"Melinda it is, then."
Blaine put his hand on the small of Kurt's back, and took Kurt's hand in the other. He swayed them swiftly and maneuvered them over to the couch, where they collapsed beside each other.
"I love you so much, Kurt. And... If we get that second chance, I'll make sure our family is safe and happy. I promise."
Kurt said nothing. He just drew his arms around Blaine's torso and cuddled into his side. They sat there, listening to the rain. Thunder.
"Can we have another chance?" Kurt asked. Blaine nodded.
"Of course."
"I think... We... I know we... I mean..." Kurt stuttered.
"Do you...?"
Kurt sat up to face Blaine. The hand rested on Kurt's knee began tracing small circles up ward.
"Yes."
"Okay." Blaine layed Kurt down on his back and hovered over him. They stared into each others eyes for a moment, before crashing their lips together.
Kurt snaked his arms over Blaine's shoulders and made their way down to the bottom of Blaine's shirt. He tugged on it lightly before pulling it over Blaine's head. Their lips still moved together.

Kurt sat next to Blaine on the bathroom floor. Hands clasped tightly.
"Nervous?" Blaine asked when he saw Kurt shiver.
"Very..."
BEEP BEEP BEEP
"It's already been two minutes?"
Kurt reached for the test from where it lays on the sink.
"Ready?" Blaine asked.
"Yeah..." Kurt replied before uncovering the mark.
"Whatever happens... We can always try again..." Blaine assures.
Kurt is silent.
Silent.
"Kurt?" ..."it's ok-"
"I'm pregnant."
