It was hot outside. The rays of sun were blinding, and the pavement was sizzling hot, as Kurt could feel through the holes in his shoes, and soon, it became too much, so he grabbed Santana's hand and pulled her away from the stares of the richer people who, he could tell, were more focused on their clothes, rather than their skinny bodies and hollowed cheeks.

Santana sent him a weak glare and he sighed softly, pulling her towards the shadiest spot he can find that's furthest away from others. They finally found one. Not a great one, but a good one. Santana pulled her hand out of Kurt's, and leant against the cool wall of the alley they were in. 

Kurt smiled softly at his friend, and sat beside her, pulling the Latina into a hug. Her breathing was light, and a small breeze ruffles the stray strands of her hair. "I'm tired," she said weakly, her accent faded, and Kurt hugged her tighter, fearing that she might've wasted away right then.

"I know," he replied, his voice cracking slightly from lack of water. "I know, honey." he placed a small kiss on her forehead, and inhaled deeply. Santana's head shifted slightly in it's place on Kurt's shoulder, and she looked up at him. "It's not going to get better, is it?" she asked in such a small voice, Kurt almost cried. Seeing Santana Lopez weak was something he'd have never believed in six years ago, but now, it just broke his heart.

"Of course it will." he said firmly, staring into her brown eyes. "Tomorrow," he said suddenly, "I'll look for a job." Santana didn't believe him, yet nodded all the same. "Okay, Kurt," she smiled. "I'll do the same."

Kurt gave a firm nod, as Santana curled up against him. "I promise I'll fix it," he swore as she hugged him. "I promise."

"I can't do this, Rachel, Cooper!" Blaine Anderson threw his hands up in the air, and sat down heavily besides his brother and sister. Rachel and Cooper shared a look, and the youngest Anderson leant down next to her brother.

"I know, Blaine," she said softly as Blaine buried his face in his hands, "But Mother and Father are becoming suspisious." she smiled sadly as Cooper stepped forward. "Blaine..." he trailed off, and placed a hand on his brothers back, "I know you don't want to, but it's either this or..." he trailed off again, and Rachel rolled her eyes.

"Or come out." Blaine finished, his words muffled. Rachel nodded and grabbed Blaine's hands, pulling them away from his face. "Father would kill you," she said firmly, staring into her brother's hazel eyes. Blaine nodded, "I know, Rach', but I won't lover her, and that's not fair." he shrugged slightly and bowed his head, his dark curls bouncing.

Cooper shifted on his feet, and sighed. "Listen, Blaine, I wish I could give you some real advice, but I can't, because I have Bessie, and I'm happy, but you need to do something, and whether it's coming out or marrying, that's up to you, but make the right choice." he smiled slightly at his brother, and Rachel stood.

"I'll always support you, Blaine." she smiled sadly again, and Blaine glanced up at his siblings. "I just need time," he said, his voice weak. Rachel nodded. "Okay, Blaine." she leaned down and kissed her brother's forehead. "I'm going to see Noah and Sam, I'll see you later." she grinned and skipped away, rolling her eyes when her brothers called after her, "Be safe!"

Blaine smiled slightly when his siter was out of sight, and glanced up at Cooper. "I suppose I'll have to marry, right?" Cooper looked at him with wide eyes. "Blaine, I don't give good advice." he stepped away slightly, and Blaine chuckled.

"Yeah, like when you told me that I should climb a tree. Or the time you said Rachel should kiss Noah," he grinned, his worries half forgotten as Cooper glared at him.
