Author's Notes: Chapter two is on its way! No sex yet! Lots of fluffy romance first.

Chapter One.

As the beeps of his Father's machine got slower, he felt his own heart beat faster. Not with excitement. Not with happiness. Not even with worry. But with fear. Yes, Kurt Hummel was very fearful. The fact that he was losing his father made him very fearful. Not just of losing him forever, but of being alone. Uncared for. Six months ago, he was mortified. His father was given four months to live. But he made it passed the mark. Six months later, he has a fatal seizer that leaves him in the hospital. Now with a devastated son. It's unfair. His mother died eight years ago. She drowned right in front of him. Now, as the final beep sounds- BEEEEEP- he watches his father leave this earth.
*****
He was told weeks ago that he had a choice to make. He thought he made the right one. As he sits at his window, bags packed next to him, he knows he did. It was either foster care, or a family member you've never met. Burt always told stories to Kurt of the two. What fun they had and good memories. Then he moved to New York with his mother.
"Ku-urt!" Rosemary, Kurt's sickly grandmother, called from where she stood in the kitchen. "Time to pack the car, hon."
He hooked his carry on over his shoulder and placed his boxes on the handle to his suitcase. The walk downstairs was a struggle.
"Thanks..." He said, as the taxi driver took his boxes. He turned to Rose.
"I love you." He said with a sad chuckle.
"I love you, too, my love. And do me a favor," she said. Kurt nodded, "make the best of it."
"I will," he promised.

The trip to New York was hectic for him. He slept the car ride up, causing him to be wide awake the plane ride down. His stomach did turns knowing he was about to meet a complete stranger. / What if he's mean? What if doesn't like me? What if i say something to offend him? What if? What if? What if? ,Kurt thought.
But when he exited the plane, he calmed down a bit. He searched the platform for anyone who looked like they were looking for someone. And there, standing at the far left with a sign that read, "Kurt," was a young guy with gelled down hair, hazel pooled eyes and an amazing outfit. As they made eye contact, something happened. It was the weirdest feeling in the world. But Kurt ignored it.
"Hi," Kurt said shyly.
"Hey, you must be Kurt!" The man said, pulling Kurt into a warm hug. After a second he pulled away and looked straight into Kurt's eyes. "I'm Blaine!"They smiled at each other before chuckling awkwardly.
"Let's go get your bags," Blaine said, putting a hand on the nervous boys back.
*****
The car ride to Blaine's apartment was quiet. Kurt sat, staring out the window, listening to the music the other man put on, feeling two brown eyes on him every once and a while.
"So, have you ever been to New York?" Blaine asked.
"No, I've always wanted to, though." Kurt replied.
"Oh, we'll its great. You'll like it."
*****
As they entered the door to Blaine's apartment, Kurt's mouth dropped. It was really nice. The kitchen was all blue, which faded perfectly into the white living room. There was a hallway behind the flat screen tv that looked like it had seven rooms.
"Want a tour?" Blaine asked.
"Yeah," Kurt smiled, and followed Blaine into the living room.
"So that's the kitchen and living area, obvi..." Kurt laughed at his use of the word "obvi". "Then that door right there," he pointed across the room next to the couch,"is a guest bathroom. It just had a toilet and sink," the. Down this hallway, you see door number one," Kurt watches as Blaine opens up the first door. "Is the computer room. I have one computer, a printer, a kickass copier, a fax machine, blah blah blah blah..." They walk to the next door which held a laundry room. Then the next one was Blaine's room. Then the next one was Kurt's.
"I just guessed on the color. I don't really know what you like."
"It's perfect. Thank you."
"I'll let you get settled in. I was thinking we could go outtonight. Celebrate your arrival?"
"Sure."
Blaine smiled before turning on a heel and closing the door behind him. But Kurt noticed that feeling again. It was insane. It was sweet and gentle. But then Kurt thought he was being a bit too crazy.
The room was perfect, like he said. The perfect combination of silver and black. He hung pictures and things he'd collected. He hung his cloths neatly in his large closet. He put important facial needs and hair product in his teal themed bathroom. Wow. He gets to say that now...
He looks at his work once he finishes. Even more perfect. This was him. He needed this cheering up.
"Kurt...?" Blaine knocked a few times.
"Come in..."
"Hey- wow..." Blaine said as he entered. "This is so nice."
"Thanks," Kurt blushed.Blaine chuckled at Kurt's shyness.
"Do you want to go out to eat or something?" Blaine asked.
"Sure."
"Great, I'm starving."
