Dear Kurt,
Sorry to hear you were sick. Sucks. And so does being alone on a holiday. I know that one a little too well. Hope your x-Mas goes better!
-Blaine
He doesn’t mention that he knows Kurt was faking. Knows it beyond a shadow of a doubt because Kurt Hummel doesn’t get sick. Kurt’s third week at Dalton all the borders got the flu, Blaine included. Kurt spent all week by Blaine’s sick bed, and not once even sneezed. And even if he had been sick, Blaine knows that Kurt would have sucked it up and come back anyway. He can’t call Kurt out on it though. Can’t because he knows why Kurt didn’t come. Can’t because it hurts. Hurts that Kurt had to avoid him like that. He couldn’t say that.
Dear Blaine,
Thanks! Much better now. Remember that guy from HR? We went to see that Meryl Streep movie. It’s really good.
-Kurt
He doesn’t talk about how the guy tried to kiss him. Doesn’t talk about how awkward it was. Doesn’t mention how his lips tasted all wrong. Can’t bring himself to say that he misses Blaine. Can’t help but wish he could kiss Blaine again. Can’t say that it felt like cheating. He couldn’t say that.
