Blaine doesn’t say that he’s not really good. Doesn’t say how much it hurts that Kurt can be okay without him. He can’t bring himself to admit how much it hurts that he can’t be okay without Kurt. He can’t say that he misses Kurt. Not even to himself. He couldn’t say that.

It’s good that you’re good. I had the flu a couple of weeks ago. Missed my flight to Ohio. It was weird being in my dorm alone at Thanksgiving.

Kurt doesn’t say that he wasn’t really sick. He doesn’t say that he heard his dad was inviting Blaine over for Thanksgiving since his parents were on a business trip. He doesn’t say that the thought of sharing a house for however a limited amount of time made Kurt sick to his stomach. He doesn’t say that he called to say he was sick because he didn’t think he could do it. He can’t admit how much he still hurts. He couldn’t say that.
