He doesn’t mention that he doesn’t feel perfect anymore. Not since he left half of himself on that sidewalk in the park. He couldn’t say that.

He doesn’t mention that Carrie bought him coffee because she said he looked like someone had died. He doesn’t say how really it felt as though someone had died. A part of him, still there on that sidewalk, left for dead. He couldn’t say that.
