Being Elliot's boyfriend was kind of amazing. Not much changed, except they kissed and cuddled a lot more. Their first date was sort of cliche; dinner and a movie, but it was also really, really perfect. Kurt found it sort of hard to believe that they were actually dating sometimes, he'd crushed on the boy for over a year so it was a little unreal sometimes.
Kurt was brought out of his thoughts when he heard his phone ringing on the table. Speaking of Elliot...
"Hey." Kurt said into the phone with a huge smile.
"Hi...um, I know I promised we'd hang out today but..."
"What?" Kurt asked, his smile faltering.
"I have to look after my little sister like, all day." Elliot groaned.
"Oh...well, I could come over? I don't mind helping you look after her."
"You don't have to."
"I know, but I want to...please?" Kurt said and Elliot knew he was batting his eyelashes.
"Fine," Elliot laughed. "I know it isn't exactly what we had planned but at least we can spend time together, even if it is with my pain in the butt little sister." He said, causing Kurt to laugh when he heard Jess scream "I heard that!"
"I'll be there soon."
"Okay, bye."
Kurt quickly slid his phone into his pocket and ran downstairs, letting Blaine know where he was going before making his way to Elliot's house. When he got there, he felt something grab onto his leg and looked down to see Jess with her arms wrapped around it.
"Um..." Kurt wasn't even sure how she'd opened the door, she was tiny and Elliot was nowhere to be seen.
"Jess!" Elliot shouted, emerging from the living room with blue paint smeared over his face. "Oh my god." He groaned when he saw Kurt smirking at him.
"I didn't do it!" Jess shouted, tightening her grip on Kurt's leg.
"Ow. Okay, I'll tease you about your choice of make-up later just please get your sister off me, she's really strong." Kurt said, wincing at the pain he felt in his leg.
Elliot immediately began to pry Jess off of Kurt's leg, balancing her on his hip and shutting the door.
"Well you look like you're having fun." Kurt laughed, following Elliot into the living room.
"She's being a pain," Elliot groaned, sitting Jess down on the sofa in front of the TV. "She completely covered my homework in paint and then decided it would be fun to dip her hands in the paint and wipe it all over my face."
"Ah, that explains the new look."
"Ha ha, very funny," Elliot said sarcastically, sitting on the other sofa next to Kurt. "You are so lucky I only wrote a few lines, missy." He said to Jess, ripping a paint smothered page out of his notebook.
"Do you want me to do anything?" Kurt asked as Elliot sighed and fell backwards against the sofa.
"Kiss me?" He suggested, causing Kurt to laugh a little as he leant in and kissed his boyfriend softly on the lips.
"Ew! You guys are icky!" Jess exclaimed as Elliot turned to her and poked his tongue out.
Kurt laughed and snuggled up to Elliot's arm, his head resting on his boyfriends shoulder.
"I wanna play!" Jess said after a while, jumping off the sofa and running out of the room.
"Wait!" Elliot exclaimed, running after her and grabbing his little sister by the waist before she ran off, Kurt following behind him. "You need to wash your hands, mum will kill you if you get paint over everything...actually, she'll kill me which is even worse."
"You such a good big brother." Kurt laughed as Elliot carried Jess into the kitchen and sat her on the side before getting a wet cloth and wiping her hands clean before setting her on the floor and letting her run off.
"Trying dealing with a five year old sister," Elliot muttered under his breath, throwing the cloth in the sink before turning to face Kurt with a sigh. "I'm sorry. I'm being so cranky today, I was just really looking forward to spending time with you and then I got stuck with her, and she's being a royal pain today."
"It's okay," Kurt said, taking ahold of Elliot's hands. "And you still look like a smurf."
Elliot laughed, throwing his head backwards with a groan.
"I'll wash it off for you." Kurt laughed, grabbing the wet cloth from the sink and gently wiping the paint from his boyfriend before kissing the top of his nose.
"Thank you." Elliot smiled.
"Just for the record, you can actually pull off paint. You looked adorable."
"Please shut up." Elliot groaned, letting his head fall to Kurt's shoulder.
They stayed like that until Jess came running into the kitchen shouting "I wanna watch a DVD!"
"You can't find anything to keep you occupied for more than five seconds, can you?" Elliot asked, lifting his head up to look at his baby sister.
Soon enough, Kurt and Elliot were cuddled up on one of the sofas whlie Jess laid across the other one, watching whatever the hell Jess had chosen to watch.
Elliot's parents came home later that evening and the sixteen year old practically begged them to let him have dinner at Kurt's house until they finally agreed.
"Blaine?" Kurt called out as he and Elliot entered his house.
"In here!" Blaine called back from the kitchen. "Hey." He smiled as Kurt and Elliot entered the kitchen.
"What are you making?" Kurt questioned as he smelt an unfamiliar scent.
"Pasta..."
"Why does it smell like that?"
"You're smelling my first attempt." Blaine said awkwardly.
"Oh god, you're gonna poison us aren't you?"
"No!" Blaine exclaimed defensively. "I know how to cook, thank you very much. I just burnt it the first time..."
"Maybe we should have had dinner at yours..." Kurt said to Elliot, eliciting a laugh from the other sixteen year old.
"Can you go back to your six year old self, please?" Blaine pouted sarcastically. "You never used to speak to me then."
"Only if you build me a time machine." Kurt grinned.
