"I've made a decision." Kurt said, approaching Elliot at his locker one day at school.

"Um...what?"

"I wanna come to your sisters party."

"Oh...are you sure? You don't have to if you really don't want to."

"I'm sure. I wouldn't say yes if I didn't want to." Kurt replied.

"In that case...Yay! Is it acceptable to do a victory dance right now?"

"No," Kurt laughed. "We're late to class."

When Saturday finally arrived, Kurt was once again, a nervous wreck. Blaine pretty much had to choose what Kurt wore as he apparently couldn't find anything and he was pretty sure he was going to throw up when Elliot picked him up.

"Don't worry. It'll just be me, my parents and a few five year olds." Elliot said as they approached his house, squeezing Kurt's shoulder gently.

As soon as they entered the house, a little girl wearing a fairy costume ran to them and jumped into Elliot's arms.

"Hey there, birthday girl." Elliot said as the little girl snuggled into his shoulder and put her thumb in her mouth as she stared at Kurt.

"Are you my brother's boyfriend?" She asked in a high pitched voice, taking her thumb out of her mouth momentarily.

"Of course, that's her conversation starter." Elliot mumbled, rolling his eyes and eliciting a laugh from Kurt.

"Um, no...we're just friends." Kurt explained.

"Oh," The little girl said. "You should be boyfriends."

"Okay, that's enough from you. Mum, Jess is terrorising Kurt!" Elliot called out as the five year old buried her face in his neck and started giggling until a woman came and took her out of Elliot's arms.

"Hi," The woman smiled. "You must be Kurt, I'm Elliot's mum."

Kurt just smiled, not trusting himself to try and speak.

"Um...is it okay if we go upstairs for a bit?" Elliot asked, looking at his mum with pleading eyes.

"Sure, but if you're not down when her friends start arriving I'm getting your dad to drag you down the stairs."

"Love you too!" Elliot laughed, grabbing Kurt's hand and pulling him up the stairs.

Once they were inside Elliot's room, Kurt let out the breath he didn't know he was holding.

"Your family are um..."

"Crazy, I know," Elliot laughed. "They're really nice though, don't worry."

"That doesn't surprise me." Kurt said without even thinking.

"Huh?"

"I, um...I just meant- you. You're really nice too, so..I'm just gonna shut up." Kurt said, blatantly tripping over his words.

"Thank you? I think..." Elliot replied confusedly while Kurt let out a nervous laugh. "Okay, we should go be social before my dad actually does drag us down the stairs."

"Um..."

"I'm kidding," Elliot laughed. "But we should go downstairs. Come on."

Kurt followed Elliot downstairs and into what appeared to be the living room where Elliot's sister was running around pretending to cast spells on Elliot's mum and who Kurt assumed to be Elliot's dad.

"Dad, this is Kurt." Elliot said, leading Kurt into the living room and sitting on the sofa with him.

"Ah, it's about time we met." Elliot's dad replied with a laugh.

"Dad." Elliot groaned, hiding his face which Kurt couldn't help but laugh at as he'd been in the exact same situation just a week ago.

Suddenly Jess ran over to Elliot and clambered onto his lap.

"Jess," Elliot laughed as Jess's hand smooshed against his cheek until she found the right position and plopped down on his lap. "Comfortable?"

"Mhm," Jess hummed. "Elliot?"

"Yes Jess?"

"Why aren't you and Kurt boyfriends?"

"Mum," Elliot groaned, hiding his face in Jess's hair. "Make it stop."

"No can do." Elliots mum laughed.

"You're mean. Dad?"

"Nope, this one's all on you Elliot."

"Um...Kurt?"

"Hell no," Kurt laughed. "Your dad's right, this is all on you."

"Elliot!" Jess said frustratedly. "Answer my question!"

"Um...we're not boyfriends because...um...when did you become so interrogative anyway?"

"Mummy, what does interrogivy mean?"

"It's interrogative, honey," Elliot's mum replied with a laugh. "It means you're asking him questions."

"Oh...but he won't answer me!" Jess exclaimed.

"I don't have an answer for you, princess." Elliot said, pressing a kiss to the little girl's cheek.

"I'm not a princess anymore! I'm a fairy, duh."

"Yeah Elliot, duh." Kurt teased, nudging Elliot in the side and completely forgetting that there were other people in the room.

"Okay...you have five seconds." Elliot warned, placing Jess on the floor.

"What?" Kurt asked confusedly.

"Five...four...three...two...ONE!" Suddenly Elliot began to tickle Kurt, causing the other teen to yelp and jump off the sofa, running out of the living room with Elliot chasing behind him.

He chased Kurt out to the front garden, running around in cicles until he finally tackled Kurt to the ground, hovering over the chestnut haired boy so that he couldn't get up.

"You're a cruel, cruel person." Kurt laughed, chest heaving as he tried to catch his breath.

"What're you gonna do about it?" Elliot questioned with a raised eyebrow, also trying to catch his breath.

"Now why would I tell you that?"

"Hm, maybe I'll just have to do something to prevent whatever you're planning."

"Yeah, like what?" Kurt asked.

Elliot stared at the boy beneath him for a few moments and didn't even realise he was leaning in until their lips were moving slowly against each others.

The two boys stayed like that for a few moments until they heard someone clearing their throat from beside them and Elliot reluctantly pulled away to see his Dad looking down at them.

"I'm not one hundred percent sure what's going on here, but Jess's friends are gonna start arriving any minute and I don't think their parents will be very happy to see you guys making out in the front garden...lying on top of one another."

Elliot carefully stood up, making sure not to squish Kurt before stretching out a hand to help the other teen up off the floor.

"We really need to talk." Elliot whispered to Kurt as they followed his Dad inside.

"Can we...now? I know I'm gonna be all edgy if we don't."

"Yeah...once second." Elliot said, running into the living room but returning a few minutes and taking Kurt's hand, leading him upstairs.

"So, um..." Kurt said, fiddling with his hands as he usually did when he was nervous.

"I like you...if that wasn't already obvious."

"I like you too," Kurt barely whispered. "I have for like a year now...and that was creepy, I should shut up." He rambled, causing Elliot to laugh as he took Kurt's hands into his own.

"I find it funny that for someone who hardly talks, you're telling yourself to shut up."

"Because if I don't, I'm probably gonna make an idiot of myself."

"You're not making an idiot of yourself. Um...I did this kind of backwards but...will you go on a date with me?"

"No." Kurt replied almost instantly.

"Oh..."

"I'm kidding," Kurt laughed. "Yes, I'll go on a date with you."

"You're cruel." Elliot pouted.

"Call it payback for chasing me and tickling me."

"Okay but...you've gotta admit, that ended kinda well." Elliot smirked.

"Shut up." Kurt laughed.

Elliot just pulled Kurt forward by his hands and pressed a short, gentle kiss on his lips.

"To risk further embarrassment..." Kurt began awkwardly. "Are we like...boyfriends now?"

"Do you want to be boyfriends?" A nod from Kurt. "Then we're boyfriends."

"Jess will be happy." Kurt laughed.

"Okay, we're going downstairs now." Elliot groaned, taking Kurt's hand and leading him downstairs while shaking his head with silent laughter.

When Kurt told Blaine what'd happened later that evening, Blaine nearly screamed with happiness, and then he told Kurt to let Elliot know that he'd murder him if he hurt Kurt, which caused Kurt to leave the room muttering an 'and on that note, I'm going to bed.'
