~2 Years Later - Ohio~

Blaine quickly walked into his office and closed the door before dialling a number.

"Dad?" Carter yawned.

"Sorry" He whispered "I didn't mean to wake you"

"It's okay, the kids will be up soon" He said "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah" He nodded "What's this weekend?"

"Papa's Birthday" He paused "You haven't got him anything, have you?"

"Sort of"

He groaned "Dad, you do this every year"

"I know" He sighed "But this is his big birthday and I need to be quick"

"Why?"

"Papa is getting ready for the shop and I need your help"

"Why me" Carter whined "Why not Rory or Lizzie?"

"Because you can keep a secret and you're in New York" He grinned.

"Fine" He sighed "What do you want me to do?"

"Well..."

Kurt unlocked the door to his shop and turned on the lights after turning off the alarm then walked down the shop.

"Grandpa!" He spun around to see his eldest grandson running in.

He grinned and picked him up "Hey buddy, what you doing here?"

"Mama said it's a secret" Finley grinned.

Kurt looked at the door as his daughter walked in "What's going on?"

Lizzie looked at him and smiled "Nothing" She walked over to the racks and sorted them out "Just thought I would come and help while Auntie Megs isn't here"

"Lizzie" He put his grandson down and looked at her sternly "I love you sugarbug but you can't lie"

She sighed and looked at him "What do you want for your birthday?"

"Not celebrating it" He shaked his head.

"But Grandpa!" Finley looked up at him shocked "You have to!"

"Yeah Papa" Lizzie smirked "The big 5-0"

Kurt glared at her "Don't start with that"

"C'mon, tell me what you want?"

"I want nothing except my family being together for the weekend" Kurt smiled a little "But as everyone knows the boys are very busy"

"Don't worry Papa, everything will be perfect" She smiled and looked at her son "Right Fin?"

"Right!" Finley grinned.

~California~

Rory groaned rolling over and grabbed his phone then answered it "If you're selling something, I'm not interested" He yawned.

"Hello to you too big brother" Carter chuckled "What are you still doing in bed?"

He looked down at his three year old son sleeping "Kayli is in Chicago and Ollie hasn't been sleeping well"

"Actually Kayli is here with us" He started.

He sat up confused "Why is she there with you?"

"That's the reason I called, you need to get to New York in two days, Papa's birthday is this weekend"

"Okay, we'll be there" He nodded "I'll find out the times and I'll get the first flight over"

"Okay and Rory?"

 "Yeah?"

"It stays a secret"

"Got it little bro" He chuckled "I'll text you when I'm on my way"

"Alright, see you soon" He hung up.

Rory carefully got out of bed and walked into his walk-in closet then started packing his duffle bag.

"Daddy?" He looked over to see his son yawning and rubbing his eyes.

"Hey buddy" Rory smiled "Still sleepy?"

Oliver nodded walking over "Packing?"

Rory picked up him and kissed his head "We're going to see Uncle Carter and Uncle Scott"

Oliver's eyes lit up "Really?"

"Really bud" Rory grinned picked up his bag and walked out of the closet "How about we go and pack your bag?"

"Yeah!" Oliver grinned then shaked his head "No help"

Rory put him down "You can pick some toys, daddy is getting ready then we'll get your clothes"

"Okay" Oliver nodded and ran out.

~3 Days Later~

"Why are we in New York?" Kurt looked at his husband as they walked through Time Square.

"Because it's your birthday" Blaine grinned "And I thought it would good to see the boys"

Kurt stopped and looked at him sternly "Blaine Anderson, what have you planned?"

"Nothing" Blaine grinned.

"Blaine!" Kurt glared at him "You promised no surprises"

"I promise" Blaine smiled "Just a nice family meal with the kids"

"Kids?"

Blaine sighed "That was the only surprise, Rory and Liz are here"

"Really?"

Blaine smiled spotting something "Turn around and you'll see"

Kurt spun around and gasped when he saw his kids.

"Grandpa!" Maisey squealed running and jumped into his arms.

"Hi sweetness" He smiled kissing her cheek and looked at her "You're growing up too quick"

"I'm five!" She grinned.

"You're a big girl" He chuckled and placed her back on the floor then looked at his kids "Where's Cart?"

"He's gone to do something" Rory smiled "A surprise for your birthday"

"Rory!" Lizzie wacked him over his head.

"Ow" Rory rubbed his head "I never said what it was"

"That's the reason why you don't know what it is" Scott smirked "Nobody knows what's going on except for Blaine"

"What?" Kurt looked at his husband "You know?"

"I do" Blaine grinned and looked at his watch "And it's about time"

"Let's go!" Maisey squealed running down the path with Oliver and Finley.

"How's Dev?" Kurt looked at his son-in-law as they followed the little ones.

"Struggling but he's fighting through it" Scott nodded.

"We're always here to help if you need it" Blaine smiled squeezing his shoulder.

"We're here!" Maisey grinned.

Kurt looked up and gasped "Oh my goodness" It was a poster of the play Toy Story and in the cowboy outfit was Carter "He made it"

"It's his lead role and this is his opening night" Scott smiled "There are front row seats for all of us"

"There he is!" Finley grinned and ran over "Uncle C!"

Carter scooped him up smiling "Hey buddy"

"That was so cool" Finley grinned "Woody is the best"

"I got to agree bro" Lizzie smiled "You rocked it"

"Thanks" Carter put his nephew down and looked at his papa "Have a good night?"

"Best birthday present" Kurt smiled "Thank you"

"How about we have a early night and get ready the family dinner tomorrow" Blaine smiled.

"Yeah!" Maisey squealed "Our place!"

"Good one Maise" Kyle grinned.

"Guess that isn't a secret anymore" Scott chuckled.

Carter nudged him and looked at his dads "Our place at six, we're cooking"

"We'll be there" Kurt nodded and hugged him tight "I'm proud of you"

"Thanks Papa" Carter smiled and looked at him "We'll see you tomorrow"

"See you tomorrow bud" Blaine smiled and pulled his husband away "Had fun?"

"Yeah" Kurt smiled "It was perfect, thank you"

"Anything for you" Blaine grinned nudging him "But tomorrow is your official birthday and you are not lifting a finger"

"C'mon Blaine" Kurt whined and pouted.

"Nope" Blaine shaked his head "The kids will be on my side on this one"

"Fine" Kurt groaned "You win"

"I always do" Blaine grinned.

~Next Day~

Carter walked out of the kitchen to see his son watching TV, he walked over and kissed his head.

Devon looked up at his papa with a confused face.

Carter signed 'You okay?'

Devon nodded and put his thump up then turned back to the TV.

Carter chuckled ruffling his head before walking down to the office where his husband was "You better not be working"

Scott looked up and grinned "You look handsome"

"Suck up" Carter rolled his eyes as the bell went and the lights started flashing "They're here, go and get ready"

Scott jumped up and walked over to him then kissed his cheek "Got it bossy" He smirked and walked out then yelped.

"Silly daddy" Maisey grinned skipping past him "Hi Papa"

"Hey beauty" Carter scooped her up smiling "Let's go and see who's here" He walked over and opened the door.

Devon squealed running over and jumped into his grandad's arms then waved smiling.

Blaine grinned and kissed his cheek then looked at his son "He's got a lot of energy today"

"Bouncing off the walls" Carter chuckled.

"Happy Birthday Grandpa" Maisey grinned.

"Thank you sweetness" Kurt smiled.

"Daddy is being a butthead"

"Where is the butthead?" Lizzie smirked at her brother.

"I'm here" Scott chuckled joining his family "Good to see you too sassy"

"That was a amazing little bro" Rory smiled.

"Where did you learn to cook like that?" Kayli looked at him.

"I learnt from the best" Carter smiled "All the secrets came from Papa"

"You got that right" Kurt grinned and looked at youngest grandson who was rubbing his eyes "Someone is tired"

"I'll take him" Scott smiled picking his son up "C'mon Maise"

"Night everyone" Maisey jumped off her chair and ran off.

"C'mon Fin" Kyle stood up "Let's go with Uncle Scott"

"We'll leave you guys" Kayli stood up and picked up her son.

"You sure?" Blaine looked at them.

"Yeah" Kyle smiled "You guys deserve some family time"

"Let's go" Kayli smiled and walked out with the rest of them.

"So, how are things in L.A?" Blaine looked at the oldest.

"Really good" Rory smiled "But we're moving in a couple of weeks to Chicago"

"Really?" Kurt looked at him shocked "How come?"

"We want to be closer to you guys and Kayli is opening a dance studio there"

"We're proud of you bud" Blaine smiled.

"While we're sharing good news" Carter smiled "Dev has got an appointment in a couple of weeks so we can figure out what's going on"

"Still not heard anything?" Lizzie looked at him.

He shaked his head "They thought it was a serious ear infection but now he's being tested for deafness"

"That's why you've been signing" Blaine looked at him.

"Only simple words" Carter nodded "He refuses to talk but he's picked up a few sign words and points at things"

"We're here for you baby boy" Kurt took his hand and squeezed "But I'm so proud of you"

"We all are" Rory grinned "Not that skinny quiet boy that was scared of everything"

"Jeez, thanks bro" Carter rolled his eyes "At least I'm not a troublemaker"

"Never changed" Lizzie giggled.

"Right" Blaine grabbed his glass as the others did the same "A toast"

"Papa's birthday" Rory smiled.

"To our bond that'll never be broken" Carter smiled.

"To more crazy times" Lizzie giggled.

"To our family that keeps on growing" Kurt smiled.

"Hummel-Andersons!" They all laughed and clicked their glasses together.
