The rumors had gotten through the entire school by the next day and Kurt refused to talk to Finn about it. Finn tried to pry the details from his step-brother but the smaller boy just ignored him and rushed off the moment his car was locked. Finn would have gone after him but he had a feeling Kurt didn't need his protection anymore... so instead, he held back, just watching the other slip into the school before he slowly made his way towards the school as well.
Kurt let out a breath and smiled a bit when he realized Finn was finally leaving him alone. He loved his brother, yes, but Finn was suffocating him lately... they all were. He didn't need people worrying over him... he wasn't some weak child or a broken little girl... He was stronger then that and he didn't need anyone's pity. He just needed them to back off already.
He sighed as he moved down the hallway, ignoring the many stares he got and the strange way people parted around him, as if they were afraid. He didn't care what any of them thought... though the idea of them being afraid of him sounded kind of nice... he'd much rather them be afraid then the way he use to be treated anyhow.
He moved around the corner finally, lifting an eyebrow before scowling as he spotted the crowd of letterman jackets in front of his locker. He walked towards them anyhow. He wasn't afraid of them... he had no reason to be... He was stronger then them... and he knew it.
Of course, most people might think he was insane right now but somehow... deep down Kurt knew these stupid teenagers were no threat to him. He didn't need to fear them anymore. He couldn't explain why... he just knew it to be the truth. He was better then them and always would be.
He stepped right up to them and narrowed his eyes as Karofsky spoke up, "you think you're pretty fucking special don't you fag... just because you caught me off guard yesterday. Well, I've got news for you... You're worthless faggot trash and you will always be worthless faggot trash..." he let out with a smirk.
Kurt just stood there, one of the boy's completely blocking his locker, as he narrowed his eyes, "Excuse me... I need to get to my locker... Please," he said in a sickly sweet polite voice. He'd give them a chance to move their sorry carcasses at the very least.
They all laughed and Kurt just sighed softly, "aww... I need to get to my locker pwease," Azimio piped up in his most girly voice, trying to imitate and intimidate the smaller boy. Kurt just rolled his eyes and sighed. There was not an ounce of fear in him for these boys.
Karofsky moved at this point, reaching out to shove Kurt hard against the locker, both hands on the other boy's shoulders, "now listen here ladyface... I don't like you... I don't like your faggy face or your faggy clothes... I don't like your faggy walk and your faggy friends or you faggy fucking club... You need to learn your place... we're football players... we're at the top of the food chain... you're homo-explosion's number one fag... you're at the bottom of the food chain... learn your place or we're going to put you in it."
Kurt listened to the other with feigned interest before he chuckled at the last part, a smirk gracing his features. "I think you need to start attending classes more often," he let out, both his hands shooting up between them as he spun, forcing Karofsky to let him go as Kurt spun back to face him, one fist coming right at the bigger boy before he even knew what was happening.
"Holy shit!" came a shout from one of the other boy's as Karofsky collapsed to the floor, holding his face as he let out a pained whimper. There was blood splatter on the floor and on both Karofsky and Kurt and upon closer inspection, Karofsky was holding his nose, which was clearly very broken.
"I'm on top now... learn your place quick boys or you will regret it," Kurt said with narrowed eyes before he turned to walk away, only to come face to face with a very furious looking Sue Sylvester, "What... the hell is going on here!" she snapped out and finally Kurt realized there were students standing piled around the hallway watching them.
"You... my office, now..." she said, jabbing a finger into Kurt's chest before she looked to Karofsky, "Adams... get him to the nurses office," she snapped, "I'll talk to him later..." she then grabbed Kurt by the upper arm and led him towards her office. On the way Kurt caught the eyes of a few of the Glee members, Puck, Artie and Tina, who all looked shocked, and the eyes of a very smug looking Santana who gave him a wink.
Kurt sighed as Sue closed the door rather loudly, "Sit!" she snapped out and Kurt did so. Sue moved around the desk and sat, looking over to him and taking a deep breath, "what the flying fuck was that all about?" she asked, staring at Kurt. She was truly shocked... not because he'd done something violent... she'd always assumed he'd snap eventually... no... because he'd actually managed to really hurt the other boy.
Kurt narrowed his eyes at this point, staring down at the floor, his body trembling... like he had too much energy and no outlet... which maybe was the truth. He closed his eyes, trying to calm himself. He needed to do something... he needed to... God... he didn't even know what he needed he just knew that he did... he needed something.
"Porcelain!" Sue bellowed and Kurt's head snapped up, "I'm talking to you... you got wax in your ears or maybe you've just been putting too much of that shit in your hair it's gone to your brain?! Now what happened out there?!" she all but growled as Kurt took a deep breath, staring her straight in the eyes as he let out, "Something that should have happened a long time ago... Those Neanderthal's needed to learn their place..."
Sue lifted an eyebrow at this. There was something weird about the kid right now but truth be told... as angry as she seemed... she was proud of him for finally sticking up for himself. As a teacher, however, she was obligated to do 'something' about a student attacking another. She sighed softly and gave a nod before smirking a bit, "bout time someone put fear into those bullies..."
Kurt blinked at this point, staring at Sue, confused for a moment before he smiled just a bit and nodded, "Ya..." was all he said and Sue sighed, "I'm proud of you Porcelain... but that stays between you and me... I don't need anyone thinking I've gone soft and I definitely don't need anyone thinking I condone violence," she said with a wink, "I still need to do something though... So we'll talk to Figgins... You will be getting a suspension... I'll convince him you just need two days. We'll put it off to the rumors and the stress of your previous attack."
Kurt smiled a bit at her and nodded, glad she understood, "thank you," he let out quietly, "My dad's going to have my head but... I understand... I knew it was coming but I wouldn't take it back for the world..." he said and Sue chuckled and smirked, "Neither would I..." she let out, "did you see that sucker's face? They all looked like they were about to wet themselves. Might have to drop off some pampers to Coach Beiste for future use."
Kurt chuckled softly and nodded as the two of them headed out of Sue's office and towards Figgins' office. Figgins, of course, wasn't too happy with what Kurt had done but had agreed that two days should be enough. He also planned to have a chat with Dave Karofsky and his father to try and smooth things over in hopes they wouldn't sue the school because of his son's broken nose.
Sue, of course, used the whole, 'he just got out of the hospital after a brutal attack', story to get him off easier and, though Figgins was shocked that she was being 'nice', agreed with her wholeheartedly. Kurt had been through a lot already and was just going through a rough patch. Though he did mention, that if things persisted like this, he would be speaking to Kurt's dad about perhaps getting him a therapist.
Kurt was, of course, asked to leave school property immediately and the boy nodded and sighed, heading off as he texted Santana the news, figuring she'd be the only one who wouldn't absolutely freak out upon finding out that the usually levelheaded and nonviolent boy had gotten himself suspended.
He blinked when his phone vibrated almost right away and he opened it up, smiling brightly and chuckling softly at the words that appeared on his screen when he opened up the new text message.
Santana: WTG Ladyface! Once word of your flying fist gets around you wont have to worry so much about slushies and locker shoves. You're moving up in the world.
Kurt chuckled softly and smiled as he nodded, texting her back a 'thank you'. He stopped by his navigator and sighed, slipping in and heading off. He didn't want to go home right now... he knew his father would be upset if he didn't but he just... he wasn't ready for that.
Instead he just drove... He drove, mind blank and before he knew it... he'd parked. He blinked his eyes and finally looked around, realizing where he was. He was in front of the forest again. He stared into the trees and let out a breath before he pushed his door open and slipped out. He closed the door and locked the Navigator as he stared at the trees for a while.
He blinked when his phone went off and he sighed as he pulled it out of his pocket, keys hanging off his finger as he answered the call, "Hello?" he asked calmly with a sigh as he stared off into the trees still feeling a strange... pull towards them. They looked... inviting somehow.
"Kurt?" came Blaine's voice and Kurt couldn't help but lift an eyebrow, "hi... what are you calling for?" he asked before he realized that sounded rather rude, "Uhh... sorry. Long day..." he mumbled out as he ran his fingers through his hair, "I didn't mean to sound like an ass."
"It's ok..." Blaine chuckled softly as he sighed, "I'm just heading to my first class of the day but I got a text from Mercedes asking if I knew anything about your strange behavior. She said that a couple of the New Directions saw you deck Karofsky?" he said in a questioning voice and Kurt couldn't help but blush.
"I... I... He wouldn't leave me alone. I was fed up," Kurt murmured quietly, "I... I think I broke his nose..." he whispered and he couldn't help but smile at the laugh he got from the other boy, "way to go Kurt! About time you stick up for yourself... though I swear I don't believe in solving problems through brute force usually but... someone like Karofsky sounds like that's the only way he'll learn. Did you seriously break his nose though?"
"I think so... there was a whole lot of blood," Kurt whispered, giggling a bit and feeling a sudden rush, "I... I've never felt so... good... It felt... I really felt good to get it all out and get my point across. I know he might try to mess me up later... when I get back from being suspended, which my dad's going to be pissed with... but... It felt good. I felt like... for once... I was on top."
"I'm happy for you Kurt... and... unhappy for you at the same time. Your dad is going to by upset but I think he'll also be proud of you too even if he doesn't show it. How long are you suspended for anyway?" Blaine asked curiously.
"Two whole days..." Kurt chuckled, "I got off easy because I'm usually such a good student and I've been going through some stuff so they figure I just went temporarily insane or something. Works for me anyhow..." he let out with a shrug.
"Nice... well, I'm proud of you for sticking up to him, Kurt... don't let them push you around. Anyway, I have to head into class so I'll see you on the weekend or something ok? We'll do coffee," he said and Kurt smiled and nodded, giving the other a bright, "alright... see you then," before they both hung up, Kurt letting out a giddy squeek. He just felt so good...
Kurt smiled and sighed as he slipped his keys in his pocket before he even realized his feet were moving. He relaxed as he walked, not even turning to look around as he stepped into the treeline. He felt calmer the further into the woods he went. He felt... safe... here somehow. He couldn't understand it but he liked it. It felt... It felt like home.
Kurt gazed around as he walked, eyes scanning the area, catching on small animals scurrying around the forest floor before he peeled his eyes away finally. His eyes turned and locked on a small structure barely visible through the trees ahead of him and he moved instantly towards it.
When he got closer to realized quickly that it was a small cabin. He didn't know anyone lived out here. He tilted his head as he walked closer, stopping in front of the door. He let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding as he reached out, placing his palm against the door.
A strange warmth seemed to rush through him as he let his eyes slip shut for a moment. Without even thinking his hand moved down, taking ahold of the doorknob as he turned it slowly, pushing the door open. He didn't think about who might be in there or that walking into some strangers home was really really wrong and kind of creepy... he just... knew this is where he needed to be right now.
Once the door was open he finally let his eyes open as well. He tensed just a bit as he saw about six people standing and sitting around the cabin area, every one of them with their eyes now on him. He gulped then let go of the doorknob, suddenly feeling a rush of anxiety as everything seemed to come back to him... what the fuck was he doing?
"I... I'm sorry... wrong house..." he murmured quietly as he moved to turn and pull the door closed at the same time. He didn't get far, however, as a hand suddenly gripped his wrist. He yelped and tensed, eyes shooting back to the person the hand belonged to.
"Hey... hey... relax..." came a calm voice as Kurt's eyes met the brunette eyes of a dark skinned male in his late teens or early twenties. He went completely still at this point, staring into the others eyes blankly, a new rush going through him... a strange rush of calm and... familiarity...
"W... who are you?" Kurt murmured out once he'd calmed down, suddenly feeling like he... didn't want to leave. He wanted to stay here with these people. With this strange guy. He opened his mouth again before closing it, bringing a hand to his head as he shook it a bit. Things were so strange lately and he really was kind of scared of himself... He was so confused.
"My name is Mikah..." the male let out calmly, smiling warmly to the other boy as he motioned to the others, "That's Jace," he said, pointing to a 'white boy' with short brown hair and longer blond tipped bangs who gave Kurt a bit of a nod, "and Michelle," he said pointing to a redheaded girl with freckles sitting next to Jace who smiled warmly and gave a wave.
"H... hello?" Kurt murmured quietly before looking back to Mikah, "I... I'm really sorry for intruding," he said, "I should probably go..." he said and the six cabin dwellers all laughed pleasently as Mikah shook his head, "You're not going anywhere..." he said though somehow he didn't sound threatening in the least, "Don't worry... you're safe here... What's your name kid?"
"K... Kurt..." he whispered out and Mikah beamed, "well Kurt... welcome to the pack..." he smirked, pulling the other gently into the cabin before closing the door, "now... lets finish with introductions... Over there," he said pointing to a native boy with long black hair, "That's Nakota," he said calmly as the boy gave him a polite nod.
"Hello..." Kurt let out awkwardly before Mikah pointed to a chinese looking girl with a bob type haircut, "that's Mei and over there is Bobby," he said point lastly to a girl with rather long blond, almost white, hair. Kurt looked around at all of them before he murmured out, "I... I'm confused..." he whispered out and they all just chuckled softly.
"Come on... you should probably sit down," Mikah let out as he led Kurt to a chair at the table. The brunette moved and sat down, giving a bit of a nod as he looked towards the brown eyed boy, "I... why am I here?" he asked, suddenly feeling like... this is where he was supposed to be... but not exactly sure why that was.
"You're here because you're one of us..." Mikah said calmly as he sat down as well, letting Kurt absorb things slowly. The confused teen shook his head as he let out, "What do you mean?" he asked before he frowned a bit, "you said... welcome to the pack? What... what does that mean?" he asked, wanting everything to just... make sense already.
Mikah let out a breath as he sighed softly, "Kurt... do you remember the night you were attacked?" he asked and Kurt froze almost instantly, "W... who are you?" he asked as he suddenly bolted up from the chair, anxiety taking over, "What do you want with me?"
"Hey, hey, hey... whoa... relax... shhh..." Mikah said as he got up and reached out for Kurt's shoulders, "look at me, Kurt..." he said and the smaller boy turned to meet his eyes. Suddenly all he could see were those deep brown eyes... and before he knew it it wasn't a person he was looking at... it was that creature... the fangs and the dark fur and Kurt gasped and pulled away from Mikah with a frightened yelp, the other boy frowning at him.
Kurt shook his head, trembling as his breathing quickened into short frantic little gasps as he backed up into the door, head suddenly spinning as the whole evening... the whole attack... came rushing back to him. He whimpered as tears slipped down his cheeks, head still shaking from side to side as he slipped down the door and curled up.
"Kurt..." Mikah murmured and moved to step towards him only to have the blond haired Bobby grab his shoulder and shake her head. She then moved towards Kurt, herself, kneeling down in front of the hyperventilating boy as she reached out and pulled him to her, wrapping him up in a hug as she shushed him quietly.
"It's ok hunny..." she whispered out quietly as Michelle joined her, kneeling down next to Kurt as she moved to run gentle fingers through the others hair as she hummed softly. The boy's all stayed back, letting the two girl's handle the frightened boy and before long Mei had walked over and was crouching down on Kurt's other side, a hand on Kurt's back, rubbing soothing circles.
Kurt's breathing soon slowed and his sobs subsided. He frowned as the girls slowly pulled away, giving him his space and Kurt looked from one to the other, confused but somehow feeling... better... He didn't know these people but... he felt... safe with them. The only thing that had really frightened him were his own memories... they hadn't done anything wrong.
"Are you ok now, baby?" Bobby asked quietly as she reached out to brush his hair from his face. She had a warm almost motherly smile to her that made Kurt feel welcome. He blushed a bit before he gave a nod and a quiet, "y... yes... I think so..." he said before his eyes turned back up towards Mikah.
"Sorry... I... I didn't mean to bring back bad memories... I swear..." the dark skinned boy said with a sigh, "I just wanted to make sure you didn't forget the end of all that..." he said with a bit of a smirk. Kurt frowned as he looked away, "It's a bit fuzzy... none of it really makes sense but... ya I remember... but..." he looked back to the other, "the news... never gave my name... how did you find out... who are you people?"
Mikah chuckled softly, "we're family Kurt... family..." he said calmly, "I couldn't help it... when I saw what those fuckers were doing... I couldn't just leave you like that..." he said with a shake of his head, "And I wouldn't change any of that for anything... other then maybe showing up a little earlier..."
"W... what?" Kurt asked, blinking as Mikah moved closer, "that was me, Kurt... I took care of those sick fucks for you... and I made sure no one would be able to do anything like that to you again... I made you strong Kurt... no one... no one can hurt you like that now..." Mikah said with a nod, "you're one of us now."
"W... wait... what?" Kurt murmured, shaking his head, "you... took care of? I'm so confused... I... you were never there... unless you came after... I... when I passed out... after..." he frowned at this point as his hand moved up to where the scar from his bite wound was. It was completely healed now but there was still a scar. All the other injuries, however, were almost completely healed, the scars almost completely faded away.
"It was me Kurt... I did that... I bit you..." he let out as he backed away from the other, his whole body suddenly seemed to go fuzzy, at least in Kurt's eyes before he realized the other wasn't getting blurry... he was actually getting furry... His eyes went wide as Mikah dropped to his hands and knees, his body cracking and making sickening snapping like sound as he groaned, clenching his eyes shut as his face protruded and his elbows reversed sides and his legs shortened and his tailbone protruded out his back...
Before Kurt knew it the other boy was no longer there... and was completely replaced by a very large, very dark... wolf.
Kurt's eyes went wide as he pressed himself against the door, opening his mouth before letting out a quietly slightly squeaky, "what the fuck..?"

lol getting a little eager are you XD
You're welcome, sweetheart, I am loving your story more with each chapter! And maybe I'm changing my mind about werewolves, hmmmmm [very big grin]. Ohh, I hope Kurt gives Blaine a nice love bite. And soon..... PS But i'm NOT changing my opinion about vampires. ;-)
I'm werewolves all the way... they're beautiful creatures. =) And we will see where Blaine fits into all of this ~_^
=P Who knows. Heheh... =^-^= I like twists and turns. I like leaving you wondering. =)
It wasn't Blaine? :-( Now I am intrigued as to how and why Blaine phones whenever Kurt is at the woods, is that just coincidental?I am now also wondering if Kurt ends up turning Blaine as the others in the hut each have a mate, so now Kurt needs one too :-)
This was really good. I was kind of surprised to see that Blaine wasn't the creature that bit Kurt in the alley but I am interested to learn more about the pack and to see how Kurt fits in. I am also really looking forward to seeing what leads to Blaine becoming one of them since it seems that he is fully human as of now. This story really has been great and I seriously look forward to each and every update.
Mwhuahaha. =) I knew that's what everyone was thinking too. =P I'm glad you're enjoying it. =^-^= I'm enjoying writing it.
i really wanted blaine to be part of the pack lol
