Author's Notes: tell me what you think.

Kurt walked down the hall, waving at his friends as he passed. He was at the top of his class at Dalton Academy, an all-boys school. He was in the school's glee club, the Warblers and was quite a hunk. Most of the few out guys at his school were crushing on him and had asked him out a few times. Kurt was a sweet guy and would let them down easily, but would instead become friends with them, like he was to everyone else. He continued down the hallway with a smile on his face. When he reached his locker he started putting his books in it.

"Hey sexy."

"Sebastian, I told you not to call me that." But Kurt couldn't help but let a small smile escape his lips.

Sebastian and Kurt had been together for the first half of their sophomore year, but they thought it would be best to just be friends. Now that they were juniors, they, well at least Kurt, had gotten past their old feelings for each other. Now and then Sebastian would make an inappropiate comment towards Kurt, but he would brush it past him, and continue with another subject.

"Well you do know how much I love when you dress like that"

"Whatever Sebastian." Kurt said in a playful way.

"What Kurt, do you not see how literally every guy drools over you all the time. I think you've turned some of them."

"Yeah I notice it sometimes, but I've already told you. I'm not looking for a boyfriend right now. I need to be dedicated to my schoolwork so I can get that NYADA scholarship next year."

"Yeah I know, you've told me only about a million times, especially when I asked you out a couple moths ago. I still don't see the harm in two friends going out to have fun, and possibly kissing eventually in the night."

Kurt's eyes widened at Sebastian's suggestion, and all the previous humor drained out of his face.

"Geez Kurt! Why can't you ever take a joke. Maybe I do need to take you out and loosen you up."

Kurt's eyes returned to their normal size, but he remained silent.

"Ok, seriously Kurt. Me and Wes will pick you up at 7:00 alright?"

"Fine, but only a movie. I am not getting into any of your crazy shenanigans like last time."

"Oh come on Kurt. I thought your were past that. It wasn't even that big of a deal."

"It kind of was to me Sebastian."

"I already said I was sorry, it was just a few drunken kisses."

Kurt rolled his eyes while muttering yeah sure, whatever Sebastianand started to turn around, but Sebastian turned him back towards him.

"Kurt please. Can we just not make a big deal about this again."

"No Sebastian! You weren't even that drunk, and you kept going even though I told you no."

Sebastian's aplogetic face quickly turned to rage.

"Whatever Kurt! I already said I was sorry so many times. You aren't going to make me feel guilty about it again."

The fight died down, but the problem was that both boys felt terrible about that night, but neither wanted to admit they were wrong. Kurt thought back to that day about ten months ago, in the middle of January, when he decided to end things with Sebastian. He told him at the end of practice for the Warblers and Sebastian ran out of the school straight to his car. When he reached his house, he stormed inside to find his parents fighting, as usual. A few hours later, still sobbing in his room, his mom came in to tell him that his father was moving out. Sebastian didn't know how to deal with both situations so he decided to go to Nick's party that night. One thing he didn't know was that Kurt would be there. He arrived at the party and started to drink his problems away, and then, realizing Kurt was there, sat on the couch next to him. Sebastian started crying and spilling out the whole story about his parents to Kurt. He didn't know how to handle Sebastian, so he just started comforting him. At some point Sebastian looked up at Kurt and kissed him. Kurt pulled away though, not meaning to bring Sebastian to the conclusion that they were still together. Sebastian kept throwing himself at Kurt, even though he kept refusing. Eventually Kurt got out from under him, slapped him in the face, and left the party. Kurt was brought back to the moment by Sebastian's voice.

"Kurt."

It took a while for Kurt to come up with a response, "You know what. I'm just gunna stay home tonight." And he started to walk towards the door.

"Kurt wait."

But Kurt was already walking down the hall, not wanting to discuss this with Sebastian right now. He hated when they fought. He truly loved Sebastian, but not in the same way that Sebastian loved him. He just wasn't capable of loving him in a passionate and intimate way anymore. They were friends, nothing more. Sebastian was his closest friend and the only person he could trust and the only one who truly understood him. He paused at the door, considering going back to talk to Sebastian, but decided to just take some time to think it over, and to figure out what he would say to him. So he pushed the door open, and let the cool November breeze chill his face as he strode to his car.

Sebastian watched Kurt pull out of the parking spot and whispered to himself, "I'm so sorry Kurt."

"Hey Blaine!" Finn walked up to Blaine on the way to second period. "You wanna hang out today? My mom's going on this date with this guy Burt or something, so the guys are coming over to watch the football game tonight."

Blaine wasn't much of a football fan, but he did want to get a little stress relief from all the mid-terms he had that week. "Yeah sure. Do you want me to bring anything?"

"Ummm, Yeah can you get some sodas? Puck's bringing some munchies, Sam's getting pizza, and Mike said he and Tina would make some cookies or something."

"Alright, can I just come right after school?"

Oh yeah, sure, that should be cool. See ya later Blaine."

"Ok cool. Bye Finn"

The boys went to class, and Blaine felt a little weight lifted off his shoulders, but not fully relieved. The real reason that Blaine was stressed out was that Dave had threatened to tell everyone he was gay. Blaine wasn't afraid of coming out, he just wasn't ready. Karofsky didn't just threaten to tell his secret though, he bullied him like no other. He pushed him up against lockers, called him names, and Blaine got a slushy to the face almost every day. Dave's harassment was what kept Blaine in the closet, but he also couldn't think of a reason of outing himself if there wasn't anyone of interest to him.

Blaine told himself time and time again that he would find the right guy, but no such guy was found on McKinley's campus. And it killed Blaine, because he felt so alone in the world. Blaine had a few great friends, who were all in the New Directions, and the ladies were all over him, but he had never felt more lonesome. Blaine had always maintained a positive attitude, but lately, he had become very aware of all the negative aspects of his life. All throughout class he wondered if he would ever find love. He didn't even notice when the bell rang and school was dismissed. He barely felt the stink on his back as Karofsky pushed him into the lockers, it couldn't compare to the pain he already felt. Blaine was invisible to the world for a brief moment when he got into his car. And during this moment he let his mind drift to the nagging terrible question he had never let himself think. "Will I........ can I ever be happy?"
