“Hey Kurt, Hey Mercedes” People chimed as they walked up to the table. Kurt taking a small glance to see where Blaine was so he could sit as far away from him as possible. The whole table went quite as Kurt sat at the end of the table, even when there was a seat next to Blaine which everyone naturally saved for Kurt. The table erupted with talked used to all the drama that happens with the group.
Blaine chanced a look towards Kurt who looked back. It was the first time they had seen each other all day. They both looked terrible, Blaine with huge bags under his eyes and hair un-gelled. Kurt normally would have loved this but now it just added to Blaine’s sad, depressed look. Kurt and never looked more simple and unlike Kurt. He too had dark bags under his eyes; however it was more Kurt’s outfit of a plain t-shirt, jeans and cardigan which stood out to Blaine. Their gaze’s come back to each other’s faces but never really looking each other in the eye. Blaine looked down first not knowing if he could look at Kurt much longer without bursting into tears.
“You haven’t told them have you, Finn? Kurt whispered
“No, it’s your business not mine”
“Thanks” Kurt said as he leaned onto Finn’s shoulder. On the other side of the table Blaine had gone completely quite. He was looking down at his plate, moving the food around with his fork.
“You okay man?” Mike asked with a concerning look on his face.
“What? Oh yeah- yeah fine” Blaine pushed his food away leaving it untouched, missing his third meal in a row.
“You should eat something Blaine, just a little?”
“No, thanks for your concern Mike but I’m really not hungry”” Blaine just wanted to get, lunch was normally when Kurt and Blaine would catch up and talked about their ridiculous classes together, now Kurt wasn’t talking to him and Blaine still didn’t know why.
“I actually think I’m gunna head off” turning to Mike with a small smile. “See you in Glee Club” Blaine got up but Mike stopped him with a hand on his arm.
“I know, it’s nine of my business but whatever’s going on between you and Kurt I hope it sorts out” Blaine was certainly surprised, Mike had never been sentimental toward Blaine before. Blaine quickly looked over to Kurt while getting up, tripping on his chair, making Kurt look up. Blaine immediately looked away toward Finn, who was glaring harshly and scared Blaine off. Leaving hastily with his head down. Right now he wished he was back at Dalton with all his friends. That was always the risk of coming to Mickenly for Kurt; if something happened between then Blaine would basically have no friends at school. Sure, Mike and Puck seemed to like him alright but they would always be Kurt’s friends first. Right now he just wanted to be with his friends, Wes, David, Nick, Jeff. The Warblers except Sebastian; sleaze. That’s when it hit him, Blaine stopped dead in his tracks. Kurt must have seen Sebastian kiss Blaine and then left before he saw Blaine go crazy at Sebastian. Blaine needed to find Kurt and explain everything thought just then the bell rung and Blaine had to get to class but he vowed to himself that as soon as classes finished he would run straight to Kurt and explain. He would make Kurt listen.
Out of the corner of Kurt’s eye he could see Blaine getting up. He tried no to pay attention but when he heard the sounds of Blaine falling he couldn’t help looking up to see if he was okay. Only to find that Blaine was looking at him before looking away before leaving. Once Kurt was sure Blaine was gone Kurt slammed his head onto the table.
“Listen, white boy, I don’t know what is going on between you and your man but you needa get your act together” Mercedes said rubbing his arm comfortingly.
“It’s a bit more complicated than that boo” Kurt mumbled.
“No, it’s not” Finn interrupted. “Kurt, he”
“Shut up Finn!” Kurt shouted as he cut Finn off, all the eyes of the Glee Club were now on him. “Argh, I’ll see you guys in class I need some air” With that he took off. He couldn’t understand how Blaine could see himself as the victim in this situation. It racked his brain all through his last classes curing when the last bell rang meaning he had to go to Glee, meaning he’d see Blaine again, meaning he’d feel terrible. He walked to his locked as he always did through fucked off at the fact that his and Blaine’s lockers were next to each other, so he probably see him without any moral support. He was also just fucked off at Blaine in general now he was not sad but fucked off. He was the one that cheated he wasn’t allowed to be sad. Kurt let out a sigh of relief when he didn’t see Blaine by their lockers. However he tensed up when he saw Blaine’s locker open.
“Kurt I need to –“ But that was all that Blaine got out before Kurt snapped at him angrily and slamming his locker. Making a few heads turn. “No, Blaine. I told you to stay away from me not to talk to me. So stay the fuck away and shut up” He looked at Blaine for a second who looked like his entire world had just come crashing down in front of him and Kurt turned around only hearing the sound of a chocked back sob and Blaine sliding down the lockers onto the floor.
He walked straight into Glee Club and saw Mike and Tina kissing. It suddenly hit Kurt again that he and Blaine couldn’t do that anymore. He sat down in his usual seat in the front. At that time everyone was in the choir room except Blaine and Mr. Shue. Kurt was starting to feel pleased with himself maybe he scared Blaine off and he wouldn’t have to deal with him again. That however was short lived when a short girl with long black curly hair came into the room.
“Hi, I’m looking for Kurt Hummel” he voice was confident as she looked around the room.
“That’s me, ah I hate to be rude but who are you?” Kurt stood up to go stand by her in the middle of the room. She opened her mouth to answer but Finn got there first appearing by Kurt’s side.
“She’s Blaine’s sister, what do you want?”
“What do I want? I want to know what the hell my brother did to you to be tossed away like he meant nothing to you.” Suddenly very harsh and walking closer and closer to Kurt. “ I want to know why he doesn’t get a sorry or even a reason why you decided to dump him out of nowhere” Everyone in the choir room was silent and all eyes were on Kurt.
“I want to know why my brother spent of last night locked in his room crying refusing to come out or eat anything” Mike and Tina worried exchanged glances, the only ones knowing that Blaine didn’t eat lunch.
“ You know Kurt, I have never and I mean never seen Blaine more happy in my life than when he was with you and for you of all people to take that away from him. I could never imagine the Kurt Hummel that my brother talks about at home to do that.” Kurt suddenly saw something move behind this girl. He looked up toward the door where he saw Blaine standing in the doorway fists clenched, eyes red and puffy and fresh tear stains on his cheeks.
“Alice, get out of here” Everyone turned towards Blaine, who’s voice was low.
“No! Not until a get a reason why this asshole broke your heart!” Alice shouted, turning back to Kurt.
“Wait what, Kurt breaking Blaine’s heart. No Blaine broke his own heart and Kurt’s when he went and kissed that Dalton dude behind Kurt’s back” Finn added in equally as loud.
“Wait, what? You cheated on Kurt?” Alice turned to Blaine mouth wide in shock. The rest of the Glee Club were moving their heads back and forth between who was talking like they were watching a tennis match.
“No I did- “Finn scoffed at Blaine’s reply.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t realise that kissing was normal between friends at that gay school of yours”
“Dalton is not a gay school! And Sebastian kissed me! If you had stayed any longer you would have seen me push him off and yell at him for a good five minutes!” Blaine shouted though you see the tears start to full up in his eyes but refusing to let them fall. He turned to face his sister.
“Alice, leave. I know you came here with me in mind but it’s me and Kurt’s business and no one else’s. Go home, I’ll see you later” Blaine kissed her on her forward and whispered her a thank you that he was sure no one else could hear. He turned back to the group who were all standing in shock. “Okay let’s just pretend that didn’t happen and get on with practice.” Everyone slowly made their way back to their seats. Except Kurt who was still standing where he was when whole fight started. Blaine touched his arm and looking into his eyes which had a mix of emotion. Sad, confused happy mad. “ I would really love it if you came and talked to me Kurt, but I understand if you don’t believe me. Just- Please” Just as Kurt opened his mouth to reply Mr Shue walked in.
“Hey guys today we are going to be doing the choreography for regionals! Is everything okay guys?”
Mr Shue looked at the group who were still in shock about what happened.
“Yeah, just tired that’s all aye guys” Finn said after a long silence.
“Right then let’s get up and dance!” All the group got up slowly and moved into their normal formation. As Blaine got up he was suddenly very tired and hungry feeling very light headed. He passed it off and went to stand by Quinn. After twenty minutes of dancing Blaine felt worse, he was messing up simple steps. He spun around Quinn and he vision burled, he felt heaving and then blacked out. Kurt turned to the sounds of something hitting the ground, presuming it was Finn again. But when he saw Blaine in a crumpled heap on the floor, he panicked. In an instant he was by Blaine’s side cradling his head in his lap.
“Someone get the nurse” He shouted at the group. “Blaine, wake up. I’ve got you, you’re guna be okay. Just please wake up.” Kurt cooed quietly, his voice shaking with fear while stroking a hand through his curls
