Dear Journal,

I found the most amazing shoes on sale today. They’re not terribly practical, but I’m determined to find an outfit to accompany it. I haven’t shown them to Blaine yet, but I’m sure he’ll love them as well. After all, any self respecting friend of Judy’s would love a pair of ruby red loafers, right?

They’re slightly sparkly, but not in any overwhelming kind of way, which is a good thing cause otherwise I’d be very limited in options. Hmm… Maybe I should dig up some of my sketches from high school. I remember there was a jacket that could go very well with it if I changed the piping a little… Well, that’s food for thought at least. 

I was actually on the hunt for a new pair of boots, but unfortunately there isn’t much to be found in my price range that I’ll actually wear. I know I can just go to any random chain store and find dozens of shoes that would suffice, but I want quality, damn it. I’m not spending $50 every few months if I can spend $200 once and have them last me years. 

With how much time I spend on my feet every day while walking and working, I’m not going to skimp on my comfort. I saw Ms. July cuss out an older student the other day who hadn’t been taking care of a dancing injury the right way. She’s one scary lady and I wouldn’t want her to focus on me, but she was definitely right. I’ve only got the one body, and I’ll be damned if I don’t take care of it properly. 

Speaking of which, I should go and prepare my face mask. Blaine will be calling on Skype in a bit to do our nighttime routines together, and I’ve found a recipe for an organic mango sea salt mask that I want to try out.
