I think I have finally found the perfect Christmas present for Blaine. 

You wouldn’t think it unless you knew him really well, but Blaine is almost impossible to shop for. He has enough money to buy himself almost anything he wants, and not enough impulse control to stop him from doing just that, so it is always a challenge come December to find him the perfect gift. 

In the past I have gone the homemade route, because at least then I knew he would not have that particular bow tie, even if he’s already literally got over a hundred of them. However, with both of us starting new jobs and moving across town, I just do not have the time this year. 

Back in the old neighbourhood, we had this amazing little coffee shop right across the street. It was owned by this little old lady who made the best coffee I have ever had. She ground her own beans and kept the recipe a closely guarded secret, despite our many attempts to get it from her. 

Ever since the move though, we’ve been having to make do with our Keurig because we haven’t had the time yet to scope out the best places in the new neighbourhood. I’ve heard Blaine grumble about missing out a few times already and it's only been two weeks since we moved. 

I figure that since he likes to experiment with new recipes in the kitchen anyway, maybe he’d like to experiment with blending his own coffee as well. I found a great deal on a coffee bean grinder with a matching French press, so that along with a few different bags of beans and some theatre tickets should hopefully have me covered for this year.  

Now all that's left is to figure something out for dad. Maybe he’d like a new barbecue? The old one is surely falling apart by now…
