“What’s your favourite flower?” Kurt asked out of nowhere as he and Blaine were lounging on his porch swing one hot summer day, reading magazines and enjoying the fresh air. . 

“Roses,” Blaine responded immediately. “I don’t have a favourite colour, but I do love the meaning behind all of them, and I particularly like how the vibrant colours look when mixed together. What’s yours?”

“Calla lilies, specifically the dark purple and the white ones. There is a certain kind of elegance in their shape and they were my mother’s favourite flower too. I’ve always liked having that connection to her.”
