Kurt was greeted by a table, nicely made up with their good table cloth, lit candles, and what looked and smelled like an amazing meal.
"Blaine, honey I'm home." He called out into the seemingly empty apartment.
Blaine had decided to change into a dressier outfit and upon hearing Kurt call out, he took a deep breath and left the sancticty of their bedroom to greet him.
"I made us dinner. We had takeout so many times this past week, I figured it was time for a homecooked meal." He crossed the short distance between him and Kurt, immediately pulling him into a tight embrace.
As was automatic anytime Blaine hugged him, Kurt's arms wound their way around his husband's back, and he hooked his hands up over Blaine's shoulders.
"It looks and smells amazing." Kurt whispered into the crook of the shorter man's neck. "You look even more amazing though." He stepped back, eyeing Blaine up and down.
Blaine blushed under the scrutiny of Kurt's gaze. "I just wanted to look nice." He murmured.
"I will say, you succeeded Mr. Hummel-Anderson." Kurt winked, causing Blaine to blush more. He could feel the heat rising in his cheeks and made a mental note that the hormones were to blame.
Blaine pulled Kurt's chair out for him then sat in his own.
"Kurt." He bagan, his voice now unsteady. "Did you ever consider how the changes from the meteor would affect us?"
Kurt swalloed hard. He wondered if Blaine had somehow found out. Had the clinic called and left a message? He couldn't do anything but nod.
"I noticed some changes recently. At first I just thought it was just stress." He took a deep breath. "I realize now that I, most likely did not want to face the possible consequences."
Kurt could feel the tears forming. Was Blaine saying that him being pregnant would have consequences. He took a deep breath, at the same time as he and Blaine reached for each others hand.
"I'm pregnant!" They said in unison.
Each man's concerns turned to shock as the continued to stare at one another.
"When did you find out?" Kurt heard the question asked, but was not aware that it was his own voice that had spoken the words.
"I took three tests." Blaine admitted. "When did you find out?" He repeated the same question to Kurt.
"I went to that new clinic right after work. I have to take some supplements." He squeezed Blaine's hand. "We will have to get you an appointment too."
They smiled at each other. Their connection of mind, body and spirit, more pronounced, when they spoke in unison again.
"I love you."
