Kurt walked out of the newly developed men's clinic. He clutched his messenger bag tightly to his body, a huge smile on his face. He was not ashamed to admit, that he was absolutely giddy.
Kurt and Blaine had discussed, prior to the meteor, starting their family. They were still trying to decide between adoption or surrogacy. Then if they decided to adopt, did they want a baby or were they willing to take on the task of an older child, that the system had failed one way or another.
Kurt walked into the pharmacy and pulled 3 slips of paper from his bag. They were prescriptions for a prenatal vitamin, a recently formulated one to support male pregnancy. Folic acid, to ensure proper developement of their baby. Iron was the third one. The doctor had informed him, that the iron would prevent him and the baby from becoming anemic. Combined together, all three would increase the chances of a safe pregnancy and healthy baby.
While he waited for the Pharmacist to finish his order, Kurt roamed around the baby section. There were odds and ends. Bottles, diapers, formula, lotions, bath gels, powders, a minimal amount of clothing and toys. He held up a cute little shirt size 0-3 months, and could not get over how tiny it was. The design was tack, yes, and the material cheap, but the size was adorable.
"Mr. Hummel-Anderson?" The pharmacist called out to him. Kurt wasted no time as he approached the counter, the tiny shirt in hand.
"Yes?" He asked once he reached the counter.
The pharmacist was an older man, salt and pepper hair and he had a mustache the same coloring. He held the three bottles in his hand.
"The Prenatal vitaming and iron, you will take once a day. Take them with orange juice, it will help with proper absorption. The folic acid, you will take twice a day. However the morning one is to be taken half an hour separately from the other two.com He paused and took a breath. "Do you have any questions?"
Kurt shook his head and set the shirt on the counter with the bottles.
"No, I don't." He replied. "I want to add this shirt to my total please."
The transaction was entered into the computerized register.
"Your totale will be $56.80." The pharmacist said, and he bagged everything up, giving Kurt a chance to get his bank card from his wallet.
His vitamins and the shirt paid for, he opted for a cab rather than the subway, recalling how the mixtures of perfumes and colognes on his morning commute had made him nauseous. He took the shirt out of the bag and smiled at it.
The shirt was bright yellow, neutral enough he had figured. It had a rainbow applique with. "I love my daddies" scripted into the rainbow. He was working out a plan on how to tell Blaine he was pregnant, and the shirt would be perfect for the occasion.
