Kurt sipped his coffee and glanced over at Wyatt to see the boy with an overly concentrated look on his face as he stared back at Kurt. “What’s the matter, honey?” Kurt asked, putting his cup down and reaching a hand out to card his fingers through Wyatt’s blonde hair. The toddler looked up at him with wide blue eyes and blinked slowly.
“Las’ night… were you an’ Papa figh-ing?” he asked in a quiet voice.
Furrowing his brow, Kurt shook his head. “No, sweetie. Of course we weren’t. Why do you think we were?” Kurt asked, slightly confused. Wyatt shrugged and took a deep breath. “I… woke up and wanted water. I went to your and Papa’s room and… I heard you guys sayin’ bad words,” he whispered the last two words as if they were bad themselves.
“And… and other noises tha’ didn’t sound like good noises.”
Kurt thought back to last night.
Pressing kisses down Blaine’s chest, Blaine’s hands in his hair tugging harshly, climbing over Blaine’s hips, Blaine’s fingers buried deep inside him before his-
Kurt’s face flushed hot as he looked over at his son. Their son. Their sweet, innocent two year old son had overheard them having sex. Kurt swallowed hard around a lump in his throat that he hadn’t noticed forming and ran a hand through his hair.
“Oh, honey. No. Your Papa and I weren’t fighting at all,” Kurt said slowly, the wheels in his head turning, hoping and praying to the god he doesn’t believe in that Wyatt will drop the subject.
Wyatt looked back at Kurt for a few seconds before nodding. “Oh,” he said softly, going back to his breakfast, chewing on a banana slice. “So wha’ were you doin’?” he asked, looking back. Kurt swore in his head. He took a deep breath and wracked his brain for some sort of reasonable explanation just Blaine back into the room with damp hair and fresh clothes.
“Ask Papa,” Kurt said suddenly, standing up and pressing a kiss to Wyatt’s head, “I need to take a shower.”
Kurt rushed away from the table and approached Blaine. Kurt pressed a kiss to his cheek and gave him a sympathetic look. “Good luck, babe,” he said, patting Blaine on the ass as he hurried down the hall.
