Kurt slowly blinked his eyes open and stared into the dark of his and Blaine’s bedroom. His brow furrowed and he started slightly when he spotted one of his daughters standing next to the bed. “Willow?” he asked in a sleep roughened voice, turning his head to look the clock on his nightstand. “Sweetie, it’s 2 in the morning. What’s the matter?”

Willow wrung her hands together in front of her and shifted her weight from foot to foot but didn’t say anything. Kurt pushed himself up and sat up straight, running a hand through his hair. “Did you have a nightmare, honey?” Kurt asked, noticing the slightly scared expression on her face. She bit her bottom lip and nodded slowly.

“Okay,” Kurt murmured, moving to sit on the edge of the mattress. He ran a hand through his hair and yawned. “C’mon. Let’s go downstairs and I’ll make you some warm milk and get you back into bed,” Kurt smiled at the eleven year old girl.

Standing up, Kurt reached out and grabbed Willow’s hand and started to walk down into the kitchen. He released Willow’s hand and started towards the refrigerator as she climbed up into a stool at the island. Kurt stopped at the fridge, his hand on the handle before turning with his brows furrowed. There was a slight rumbling sound coming from the laundry room just off the kitchen.

And Kurt couldn’t remember running the washer before going to bed.

He started to make his way towards the room and just pulled open the top of the washing machine when Willow appeared in the doorway. “Wait, daddy…” she murmured, wringing her hands. Kurt glanced at the girl before looking back into the washer. He reached in and pulled out what looked to be her bed sheet.

“Oh, sweetie,” Kurt said, dropping the sheet back in and closing the top of the washer. He turned and looked back at Willow, seeing her face flushed red and her arms crossed over her chest.

“Before you say anything, Dad,” Willow said, holding her hands up in front of her. “I remember the talk we had and I know all about this stuff I just… I don’t want to talk right now. Please. Can you just make me my milk so I can go back to bed and then we can… go to the store in the morning?”

Kurt nodded and walked over pressing a kiss to the top of her head before heading back into the kitchen. Once Willow finished her milk and went off back to bed, Kurt made his way back into his own bedroom. As soon as he laid down, Blaine turned over and blinked at him.

“Where were you?” Blaine asked, rubbing at an eye with his fist.

“Your youngest daughter just became a woman and you’re taking her to the pharmacy in a few hours,” Kurt murmured, rolling over and almost immediately falling back asleep.

Blaine hummed and nodded, his brain still fogged over with sleep. “Okay,” he mumbled, wrapping his arms around Kurt before sitting up straight.

“Wait… what?”
