Wes knelt next to Kurt cussing quietly under his breath, something he always lectures us all about. The guys had started to gather in the doorway, all slightly concerned and curious about what was happening. Kurt stirred and groaned in discomfort, his eyes fluttered open and he looked very disorientated. Wes said,
“Kurt, bud can you hear me?” Kurt looked around startled before clutching at his head. He said,
“I need my bag, please where is it?” Wes looked at me in confusion and I shrugged before saying,
“Which bag Kurt?” He looked around for me. I took his face gently between my hands and made him look at me, “Kurt, which bag?” he was trying to keep his eyes open,
“Th..the... m..my..b..back..p..pack,” I nodded and Nick instantly ran to get it. Wes and David had sent Sebastian and a couple of the other guys who were laughing away, they was not happy with them. Jeff had gone to get matron because she may know what to do. Kurt went floppy again, I held his head up as Wes instructed. He came round again and was even more confused than the first time.
Nick came running towards us, Kurt’s rucksack clutched in his hand. He set it down. I unzipped it and saw bottles of pills and medicines along with what looked like a couple of epi-pens. I was shocked but didn’t want to judge. I held his head tighter but not hurting him,
“Kurt we have you bag what now?” he tried to look round for it, I placed it in front of him and he look down, Wes behind hovered attentively behind him so he wouldn’t fall back to the floor. He was clearly struggling to find what he need. I knew we needed to help him,
“Kurt do you need and injection or pills?” he looked up blearily and stuttered,,
“in..injection,”
Matron had arrived by now but she had no more idea than us. I grabbed the injections I could see, desperately searching for a label. Suddenly Kurt leant to the side and was sick in a trash can which, David had placed right at the last moment, the guys who had stayed all cringed and backed away. I found a label and read the name out, looking at Kurt for a response. He shook his head and mumbled,
“cen..ceno,” I found the label on the current injection and said,
“Cenolin Kurt?” he just nodded in response, he then gestured to his shoulder. I pulled his shirt sleeve up and immediately injected whatever the fluid was into his shoulder. He was sick once more before he went floppy and stayed floppy.
I lifted Kurt into my arms and followed a stressed looking matron as she lead me to the hospital wing in the school. Nick and Jeff along with Wes, David and a few of the others were behind us as we hurried through the halls. We entered the pristine white room, she gestured to a bed and I very gently set Kurt down, supporting his head like a baby. Matron sent one of the guys to get Mr Day and she then made everyone else step back as she began to examine Kurt and tend to what she needed to.
We were all pretty shocked at what had happened, it had been more the surprise and what had happened that had baffled me. Kurt looked so peaceful as he lay there, no marks on his beautifully smooth flawless skin. Matron could see nothing wrong with him so she went off into her office to find his medical records. Mr Day came striding into the room looking worried but still his overly professional self. He saw Kurt however and his eyes widened. We had to explain what had happened, not even he knew what was wrong. Kurt’s records were very confusing and Matron didn’t know what was wrong even with the aid of them. All we could do was wait for Kurt to come round.
Seeing as we did not know, at all, what was wrong, matron was adamant that Kurt stay in the hospital wing for the night. Nick and Jeff went to get him some pyjamas while I stayed with him, I didn’t really know what to do, Mr Day and Matron were both talking in hushed tones in the corner and the guys had left to go for dinner.
With Nick and Jeff arriving with his pyjamas momentarily Matron came over. She took his t-shirt off and gasped, I had forgotten about the scars on Kurt’s back and how skinny he was. She and Mr Day were both instantly observing Kurt, I knew he wouldn’t like it. Matron took photos of his scars for his record and then went away leaving me to finish changing him. It was a little awkward but Nick and Jeff helped me and they weren’t shy in teasing me about how I wanted to change him really just so I could admire him. The thing was that deep down I knew they were right, I just didn’t want to admit it.
I had just tucked Kurt in when he began to stir, Matron and Mr Day were instantly standing behind me next to the bed. He shuffled slightly and moved his head to the side before his eyes fluttered open bringing him round from unconsciousness for about the 4th time in 2 hours. He saw the two adults stood there and looked slightly alarmed, Matron said,
“Sweetheart, are you okay, how do you feel?” Kurt managed to croak out,
“Where am I?” he looked at me in confusion, Matron replied answering him,
“You are in the hospital wing sweetheart, you passed out on the field, I need to know what drug you were injected with and why?” he looked at me clearly hesitant. I nodded and he said,
“Cenolin, I can’t remember the name of the disorder, it is something to do with my nervous system and my brain, sometimes it just goes weird, I don’t really know how to explain it,” Matron nodded she then said,
“Kurt in your bag there are lots of pills, why do you have so many?” he coughed a bit and then softly said,
“One of them is pain relief and the other is to help me with my eating disorder, because of where I have lived, I am not used to eating very much and due to other stuff my stomach now rejects food when I eat too much, the pills help to prevent that happening,” Matron nodded while Mr Day and I were frowning. Matron was definitely not shy about confronting his problems,
“Your back Kurt, can you explain that?” he looked down and I saw a tear fall onto the sheets, he shook his head and said very quietly,
“I..I don’t want to talk about it,” Matron tutted which startled him slightly before she said,
“Well we need to know, they are some serious scars Kurt,” he shifted uncomfortably,
“It was my punishment, I was bad, I used to forget things and I was a misbehaver, they always used to punish me because I spent more time studying than tending to housework and chores. Then there was this other boy... he... he used to... t..take, advantage of..of m..me” tears rolled down his pale cheeks and I didn’t even need to see the teachers faces to know, they were as shocked as I was. I gently sat on the bed and pulled him into a hug trying to comfort him as he sobbed. I looked up at Nick and Jeff, who both looked slightly pained as he cried. Matron and Mr Day had the sense to give us some space after that. Wes said,
“Kurt if you ever need to talk okay, take your time, you can come back to the warblers again if you want when you are ready, I am sure Blaine will be willing to help you,” with that he left. We didn’t talk I just sat there as he cried, letting him cry. He soon drifted off and Matron told us to let him sleep so we the three of us trudged back to our dorm...

Sebastian, Y U NO GET HIT IN FACE WITH FRIDGE!?I'm not THAT impatient.. Really..
Hi (: This is a really nice story so far and I really really enjoy it. There were just a few things that took away from the realistic-ness of it all, though. I was just thrown off by Kurt having all of these pills and injections since they get to be expensive (injections sometimes more so) and to even get them, he would have had to been taken to a doctor and gotten them prescribed. It doesn't seem like the care home would've cared enough to do any of that, much less pay for all of it. And also, if a teacher or a nurse or anybody of the such happens to come to the realization that a child was or is being abused, they have to report it. So I just found it to be unrealistic that all Matron did about it was give him some cream to help him with it. Sorry, I don't want it to seem like I'm hounding you or something.
