"With this ring, I thee wed," Kurt flashed his pearly teeth at Blaine, his dimples popped and blue eyes bright and playful.
Blaine knelt by Kurts feet and placed one hand on his thigh, the other holding out a fake, diamond ring. "Make of our hands one hand... Make of our hearts one heart..."
Kurt smiled down at the top of his boyfriends head, dangling his hand in front of him as Blaine slid the ring onto his decorated finger from Blaines other jewels, his gum wrapper ring and his promise ring. The ring glinted as light hit it, then it was covered by Blaines warm mouth. He stroked his fingers through Blaines hair, "Make of our vows one last vow..."
Blaine couldnt sleep again, but he didnt mind much, not on this night that was so close to Kurts birthday. He thought of happy things on this night, his head filled with his wonderful Kurt, who he was considering a birthday present for. Hed gone over every blouse and shoe that Kurt had ever smiled at, but then he figured that others would buy him all of those clothes. Kurt wanted memories for his birthday, and Blaine remembered his own birthday, when Kurt had given him roses that were almost as beautiful as him. Blaine had appreciated the present, and still did, and he wanted to give him something that came from his heart, too, that would remind him of Blaine every day. He wanted to make him smile as much as he made him smile.
Looking down at his beloveds soft face, he stroked his squished cheek and smiled when Kurts nose wrinkled. He realized there was nothing wrong with the way he loved Kurt, a deep and passionate longing that would never end. "Youre my beautiful thing." He whispered to Kurt, bending to kiss his mouth. He tasted the sweetness, and it made him whimper. No one had ever made him so weak before, not even Karofsky. "I want to give you something almost as lovely as you are. Nothing will ever be quite so pretty."
Kurts lashes fluttered when Blaine reached for his hand and held it in his palm, gently rolling his fingers between his. He took his ring finger and looked it over, his other rings still pretty around that tiny finger. He imagined another one glistening next to those, bright diamonds that sparkled and shined under the light. "I want to make memories, too... my Kurt Hummel-Anderson." The sound of the name on his tongue made a low noise gurgle in his throat. His stomach jumped with excitement, and he yanked a pillow over his head and tried to muffle his celebration noises so he didnt wake Kurt.
He never thought hed see this amazing day come, of finally deciding who he would be beside of forever, who he would want to wake up next to each morning, who he would want to hold so tightly in his arms. He wanted to hear Kurts squealing and laughter every day, pick him up off his feet and tickle him, hear his pretty songs. Hed just always thought it would be a girl... but he was so relieved that it was Kurt. Kurt was the only perfect one for him, as much as he had thought it was once Karofsky.
He wasnt aware that hed ever closed his eyes, but, later, he felt pats on his cheek. Peeling his lids apart, Blaine flinched at the blinding streams of light that flickered through the window, but then a blond head entered his view. Focusing on Kurt, Blaine noticed that his eyes were huge and tears were rolling down his cheeks, so he sat up as quickly as he could without startling Kurt. "Honey-" he said lowly, and Kurt cried much harder, tossing himself against Blaines chest and sniffling into his neck. He felt his warm tears seeping into his shirt, but he didnt mind at all. He just wanted to hold Kurt closer to himself. "Whats the matter, my sweetheart? Oh, baby, you know I hate when you cry."
Blaine rubbed Kurts back, urging a reply, and Kurt squeaked, "Oh, Blaine, Ive done a very bad thing." He noticed their laptop behind Kurt a few moments after Kurt had said that, and a few words like flight... Paris, France... payment completed stuck out to him. His jaw dropped, as well as his heart, but he quickly gathered himself because he couldnt let on his sadness to Kurt, or else it would hurt him.
He hated that his voice shook as he tried to comfort him, his hands quivering while he patted Kurts bottom, "Its o-okay. Youll be okay, my love. Itll be fine." He didnt know if he was trying to convince himself or Kurt of that. "Shh... well be okay, sweetheart. I promise."
Blaine didnt feel okay.
