Blaine was disappointed when he had to leave the safety of Kurts home and return to the place he dreaded most, but luckily Karofsky skipped on the day he came back. Even though he knew that they were safe without Karofsky there to attack, he still wanted to keep close to Kurt, who he found himself needing more and more. He hated it that when Kurt had swished into the bathroom that morning to primp his hair, Blaine had wanted to stay on his heels and watch his every move. Hed never needed anyone before.

Waiting outside of the math room, Blaine dared another glance inside the room, looking past the teacher who was talking about how to solve some equation that Blaine didnt care about. He instantly picked Kurt out, his blond head near the front of the room. Kurt was already looking at the door, and his eyes widened when their gazes met. Giving Kurt a small smile, he watched him bat his lashes at him, and he blew him a kiss.

He ducked out of the room again, needing to get control of his thudding heart. When the bell rang, Blaine gladly stepped in the way of the door, and this time Kurt was one of the first ones to leave. They didnt say anything to each other, but they walked side by side, their hands brushing with each step. Blaine felt electricity at his fingertips every time one of Kurts fingers touched his.

He walked Kurt to his next class, which was glee club, and was glad when they reached the emptier hallway. They stopped walking several feet away from the choir room, and Blaine spun Kurt around and gave him a kiss. Kurt cooed and bounced on his toes, delighted by the affection. "Ill see you after class, baby. Ill wait here for you." Blaine told him, and Kurts giddy smile quickly changed. "Whats wrong?"

Kurt tilted his head to one side, a blond hair falling across his forehead. Blaine wanted to push it back into place. "Why dont you come in with me? Its very fun in glee club! And you have a wonderful voice, my Blaine. Then we can sit right beside of each other and not be a room apart!"

Glancing into the room where a few kids were still picking their seats, Blaine blinked at everyone hed hurt, which was most of the people, "I cant." He said lowly, "I dont belong there. Ill be right here, sweetheart. Im not going anywhere."

"Oh," Kurt pushed his bottom lip out in a pout, then he stretched for another kiss. "Ill miss you so very much, but Ill be sure to make funny faces at you during class!" Hopping again, Kurt touched their lips, and Blaine gave him the smallest smile. He scurried away from Blaine and perched in the chair beside of Finn, who leaned over and held his hand out for a high five. Kurt had finally begun to understand what that meant, and he patted Finns hand, then he squealed for himself.

Smirking at him, Blaine leaned in the doorway, his eyes drifting from person to person, from Santana and Puck who were still side by side, to the kids whose names had slipped him, and then to Rachel, who had her arms crossed and her nose pointed at the ceiling. He really couldnt remember how hed gotten through a month of dating her. Turning back to Kurt, whose feet were patting the floor because he couldnt hold still, Blaine wished he could be beside of him, holding his hand and acting as if nothing were out of the ordinary. But hiding in doorways while watching Kurt from afar was Blaines ordinary. He wondered if it would always be this way.

Schuester strode into the room a minute later, and he started talking about what songs they were going to do for the week. He kept his eyes on Kurt, staring at him as his hand popped up and he offered the prettiest of songs, and he bit his bottom lip, wondering how hed gotten so lucky with Kurt. They werent dating, no, but theyd done more together than he had with any of the girlfriends he had in the past. For one thing, Blaine never would have stood in any doorways and spied on any of his past girlfriends.

Kurt laughed again, jerking Blaine out of his thoughts, and he watched Kurt toss his head back, his cheeks brightening and his eyes shimmering. He lifted his head again and met Blaines eyes, and his blond lashes lowered. It was nothing more than a flirtatious look, that sweet smile on his lips and those dimples popped. Blaine swallowed thickly, sure that hed never seen anything more beautiful than Kurt. Blaine couldnt believe that he, of all people, had him.

Turning away from Kurt so he could clear his head, he let his head clunk against the wall, a harsh reminder of reality, when Kurt was just like a fairytale. "Kurt..." he whispered very lowly, trying the name out on his tongue. It was perfect there, a lovely name that left a tingling sensation on his tongue. But as he thought of the person behind the name, he got very dizzy, and his stomach started to hurt. Hed never felt this way before, and it both confused and excited him. "Kurt. Kurt."

Unaware that hed been speaking louder each time hed said Kurts name, Blaine almost jerked out of his skin when someone touched his shoulder. Whipping around, he frowned at Schuester, who had the same expression on his face. "Blaine Anderson?"

Even though hed been the interruption, he still felt like Schuester was disrupting him in his fantasies over Kurt. "Mr. Schuester." He said lowly, hearing the laughs of his peers from a few feet away. He ignored them and focused on Schuester, who was looking at him as if he was a species that hed never seen before.

"Blaine..." Schuester said again, his brows lowering, "what are you... what are you doing over here?"

When Schuester pulled him into the room, the embarrassment caught up with him as he was laughed at by almost everyone. Not sure how to explain what he was doing, he flicked his eyes to Kurt, who smiled at him. "I was... Im..."

"Hes with me!" Kurt chirped, holding his hands out. "Mr. Schuester, may Blaine please stay in this class? He would enjoy it very much!"

Schuester still seemed to be stuck on the fact that Blaine had made an appearance by his classroom. "I... guess so. Sure."

Sneaking away from Schuester, Blaine sat down next to Kurt, who snuggled under his arm and purred. He was oblivious to the glares they were getting, and expressions of absolute shock that seemed to come from everyone except Rachel, whose body had gone rigid. Once again, he was having trouble remembering how he had gotten through that very short relationship.

Just as he had expected, her hand flew up, "Mr. Schuester, why is he in here? He doesnt even sing." Shooting Blaine a quick look of disgust, she said, "I just dont think its right to invite a boy who hates all of us to be in our class."

Kurts small fingers wrapped around his arms and squeezed, protectively holding onto him as if that would block their insults. Having heard most of that-and worse-before, Blaine didnt show any kind of reaction. Hed become numb to her half-hearted bitterness, when almost every day he worried about getting beaten by someone who really hated him. Schuester blew out heavily, also frustrated by the confusing situation, "Rachel, thats enough. We havent turned anyone away before. We wont turn Blaine away if he wants to be in here."

"Why is he in here?" He heard Puck ask Finn, and Blaine frowned. He didnt bother answering that because he didnt want anyone to know why he wanted to be in there, but Santana spoke up from the back of the room.

"Its because of Kurt." She said lowly, her tone very biting. Everybody shifted their weight, uncomfortably trying to figure out what Blaine could want with Kurt. "I know its gross, but dont tell me that Im the only one whos noticed that he gets a boner every time Kurt walks by him."

Blaine swallowed thickly, feeling Kurts fingers tighten. Kurt, who didnt like the negative attention all around Blaine, murmured very quietly, "Mr. Schuester, may we please talk about songs again?"

Schuester seemed relieved for the break from the rude comments, "Yes, we can. Everyone, thats enough about Blaine." Nodding at Blaine, he said lowly, "Blaine, do you want to sing for us?"

Feeling heat burning in his cheeks, he quickly shook his head. He just wanted to slouch and be invisible to everyone else. He turned to Kurt and hid behind his shoulder, disappearing into his protective arms. Kurt reached up to his head and stroked his hair. "Im so proud of you." He whispered in his ear, and Blaine shuddered.

No one had ever understood that Blaine didnt want to be seen, and it made his heart pound that Kurt cared for him so much.
