Blaine kept himself away from the family by shutting himself in the bathroom, if only the door had a lock on it. He feared that at any moment someone would walk in on him and accuse him of faking the ache in his stomach, the lame excuse hed given Kurt. He knew he was being pathetic, but he wanted to protect himself from them, and if this was the only way, then so be it. His privacy didnt last for long when he heard footsteps nearby, and he pressed himself against the wall as if he wanted to fall through it and never be seen again. "Maman?" He listened to Kurts soft squeak, and the sound of Elizabeths quiet hum. "Blaine told me his belly hurt. Can you give it a kiss and make it better? Im sad because he doesnt feel good."
"Oh, darling," Elizabeth clicked her tongue, "this just wont do, will it? Dont worry for a moment... you know Ill make him all better. Laurice?" She quickly turned the conversation to her sister, who Blaine was sure was her twin. He had just never asked either of them. "If you take Kurt outside, bundle him up nice and warm. We dont want you to have the sniffles. Now, run along, my kitten. Have so much fun with your aunt. I promise that Ill give Blaine my best care. Hell get kisses on both cheeks."
He heard footsteps and shuffling again, and one more chirp from Kurt, "I have to get my booties and mittens!" After Kurts thumping feet faded away, Blaine panicked because there was a knock on the door. Wanting her to leave him alone, Blaine grabbed his stomach and gagged like he was throwing up. He was certain she would leave alone the pitiful mess that he was, but he didnt hear her move away. He gave up on making those sounds because it hurt his throat to croak each time, and he listened to her say his name.
When he didnt reply to her because he wasnt even sure if he could speak, the door cracked open, revealing a pair of worried eyes that were just like Kurts. Blaine wished it was Kurt outside that door. "Blaine, honey... are you okay? Kurt said you have an upset belly. I know the perfect thing to make you feel better... would you like a glass of warm milk? You could lay down and rest until youre back to yourself."
Blaine knew that no amount of resting would make him normal again. Blinking at her, Blaine saw the exact moment when she got through that stupid excuse hed put up. He took a step back when she held her arms open for him, "Did someone do something bad to you?" Maybe he was just being paranoid, but, to him, it sounded like she was making a statement instead of asking a question. He briefly thought through every person hed ever come across-a very short list-and considered the mean things theyd done to him. He didnt know what she thought was bad, if it was someone hitting him, or just parents who had never been there for him.
Taking a deep breath, she looked away from him for a second, her curls swinging around her shoulders. She checked outside, where Kurt was rolling up little balls of snow. "Kurt loves playing in the snow. Its one of his favorite things to do." Smiling very lovingly at her son, she turned back to Blaine and kept that smile on her lips, "Whats your most favorite thing to do?"
Blaine immediately thought of his stories, all of them taking him to a kinder world where no one except the bad guy was hurt. Everyone had a triumphant life in stories, while Blaine doubted he would ever have a triumphant anything. He frowned at her because no one had ever asked what he liked to do before-except Kurt-and her smile tugged down. It didnt stay away for long, but he caught it when it did. "You know, Kurts daddy told me that he thinks you were very much alone... before you met Kurt. Your parents left you by yourself, didnt they? You dont have to be lonely here. My sweet Kurt would never let you... hes so talkative, isnt he?" She grinned at that last, and Blaine felt himself soften at the thought of Kurts babbling that he loved so much. She must have noticed the change on his face because she giggled, "You like when he chatters to you, dont you? Hes good company to have. And he thinks very good things of you. He loves you very much. Hes never called a boy his prince charming before... but he thinks that youre his knight in shining armor!" When he blinked at her again, then turned his head to stare at Kurt through the window, his pink cheeks and bright eyes and quivering lips, she said very softly, "Is Kurt your favorite thing? I think youre his. Would you like to go outside and play with him?"
He realized that she was right, that his stories were only good if Kurt was there by his side to enjoy them with him. He could imagine the two of them as the prince and princess, falling in love over and over again, a different type of obsession with each other in every story. He did want to be close to Kurt, so he finally made his move and slowly nodded his head. Reaching out for him, she encouraged him to come closer with the prettiest smile, her pink lips stretching from ear to ear, "I wont hurt you. I just have to cover you in warm clothes. Come now, you know I would never cause such a sweet boy pain."
Blaine took a step over to her, and then another, walking very slowly because he couldnt force himself to believe that this kindness would last. Hed mess up-as he always did-and she would learn to hate him. But he let her wrap him in her soft arms, and she lifted him so their eyes met. Blue sparkled all over her eyes, the lightest shade, just like Kurts. And her eyes were just as warm. She also seemed to be studying him because she whispered, "How handsome. Ive never seen golden eyes before. Well, I can certainly tell that your parents are missing the most amazing thing theyve ever had. Now, lets see about these clothes of yours. I found a pile of your things on the counter... maybe well find some warm things for you to wear. You could always wear something of Kurts, but Im afraid it might be a little snug on you."
She carried him into the living room, something that made him tense up because hed only been carried by his brother before. But she held him just like his brother did, with one hand on his back and one on his butt, something he was used to. He didnt like new things. Without realizing what he was doing, the boundaries he was crossing, he held onto her dress, grabbing a fistful of her sleeve. She didnt mind, even though he was wrinkling her dress, and she set him down on the counter. Turning away from him, she went through his pile of things, finding a pair of gloves, a hat, boots, and a coat. "There we are." She said lowly, picking up the coat and holding it out for him. He started to take it from her so he could put it on himself, but she didnt let it go. Stretching his arms out when she pressed a sleeve to his hand, he flinched when she started sliding it onto his body. Hed never let anyone he didnt know very well touch him this much.
"Now you wont get a chill." She scooped up his hat and covered his curls with the soft material, unaware of the winces on his face. "You can roll around with Kurt all you want after I make you cozy." After she put his hands into his gloves, she kept holding onto his fingers that curled and uncurled. He didnt know if he should jerk his hands away or not. "Blaine? I want you to have all the fun that your heart desires... you dont have to be scared. My sister is the silliest person you could ever meet... and I want you to know that Ill never be mad with you. I barely know you but I already think that youre the most precious thing Ive ever seen." Bending down, she kissed his forehead, her lips warm and soft on his skin. Gasping because he was so shocked, he squirmed away from her, and she pulled back. A sorrowful look drew her lips down. "I cant imagine the awful things someone has done to you. But I want you to know that no matter what has happened to you, our family will always love and treasure you. Youre all Ive ever wanted for Kurt... I know its surprising, but I want to see both of you settled down together one day. I think you love each other enough to last forever."
Blaine looked up at her glazed eyes, wondering what she saw in them, an older Kurt and Blaine happily married, but he didnt have time to look for long because she shook her head to clear it. "Well, thats many years from now. Lets just see you two love each other through the day, shouldnt we? Let me get these boots of yours on... I wouldnt want your toes to turn blue."
Glancing down at his feet as she slipped his boots over them, he felt her lift him into her arms again and set him on the floor. "Now youre warm, arent you? Go on out and play, little one. Ill be out in a moment. I just have to get my own coat and scarf."
Taking a step away from her, Blaine watched her pad over to the coatrack to get a blue coat and a white scarf. She brushed her hair back as she tugged the coat on so it didnt get caught, then she wrapped herself in her scarf. Bending to gather a pair of white boots, she glimpsed up at him, and he flushed because hed been seen spying on her. He hurried away from her and reached for the door, pushing out of it so suddenly that he almost fell onto his face. The snow was almost as high as his knees, making it impossible for him to get his footing. He staggered forward in an attempt to get his balance, but he still fell onto his butt.
"Blaine!" He heard a high pitched voice squeal, but he was too embarrassed to lift his head, so he stared at his lap. He saw prints of small feet all around his thighs, and when he turned his head from side to side, he found more of them, revealing that Kurt had pranced almost everywhere on the yard. When he shifted again, trying to stand up, he became stiff at the sight of those white heels beside of him.
A pair of hands touched his back, boosting him up to his feet, "Careful, little one. Youll get a bruise if you fall over. Kurt, love, Blaine came out to play with you! Hes feeling much better." She patted his back as if to assure him that he would be fine, and he watched her walk over to her sister, who was balling up piles of snow.
"Yay!" Kurt shrieked, hopping through the snow to get to Blaine. He landed in front of Blaine, almost sinking all the way into the piles of white. Tossing himself at Blaine, he made both of them tumble over, a flurry of white specks blinding Blaine. "Im glad youre feeling better, my Blaine. Now you can make a snowman with me! The snow is too heavy to roll all by myself." Suddenly whirling around after he scrambled to his wobbly feet, Kurt waved at his aunt, who was packing snow into a big ball, "Aunt Laurice, Blaine is going to help us make our snowman!"
Laurice lifted her head from her bunch of snow, shoving her windblown hair off her face, and her playful eyes narrowed at Blaine. "Aha! Duck, Blaine!" Gathering up a small bit of snow, she held up her gloved hand to threaten him.
Kurt looked up at the sky in search of a duck, but Blaine held up his hands to knock back the clump of snow coming at him. It fell on his hat, instantly making the top of his ears cold. Pushing his bottom lip out in a pout, Kurt cried out, "I didnt see the ducky, Aunt Laurice!" He glanced over at Blaine as if to ask if he had seen it, and he helplessly giggled at him. "Youre all wet!"
Shaking off the snow with the help of Kurt, who brushed some of it off, he dropped to the ground and started gathering his own mound of snow. Kurt plopped into the snow beside of him, and he smoothed out the lumps. "This is his head. We dont want to make it too big because he would be lopsided and then he would be sad!" His aunt walked by them and grabbed the circle of snow theyd made earlier, and she dropped it on the pile shed been working on. "Here, Aunt Laurice! Heres his head!"
Laurice returned a moment later, knocking leftover snow off her hands, and she bent for the much smaller head. "This is a good head for him, Kurt. Good job." She held out her hand for a high five, but Kurt was confused by what she wanted and draped his hand over hers. Reaching out for Blaine, she grinned at him, "Come on, high five. Or... do what Kurt did. Silly kid doesnt know what a high five is." When Blaine hesitantly lifted his hand, she slapped it and made a cheerful noise. "You guys are the best snowman builders ever. Come on! Lets go decorate him, huh?"
Kurt eagerly hopped to his feet and scurried on her heels, more than happy to do his favorite part of making a snowman. Blaine went after both of them, but took his time trudging through the thick snow so he didnt topple over again. After Laurice put the head on the body, she stood back and considered him, then she nodded her head, "Looks good to me."
"No!" Kurt squeaked, bouncing up and down on his toes, "He needs a smile! Hes a happy snowman because we love him." Looking around for something they could use, he bent down to pick up some pebbles that had been kicked up when theyd run around. He gave them to Blaine, who crushed them in his fist.
Elizabeth, who had been watching her son from afar, came up from behind him and wrapped her arms around him, "Youre perfectly right, sweetheart. Hell need eyes and a nose and a mouth... just like yours. Hed be lucky to have your smile." Kurt giggled at his moms doting, and he pointed at the rocks in Blaines hand. "Those must be his eyes. Come here, Blaine." Picking him up, she held him closer to the snowmans head, and he put them in the right spots. "Those are perfect eyes, dont you think? But you know what else he needs? Arms for hugging. Everyone needs a hug every now and then."
Laurice bent and lassoed Kurt in her arms, making him squeal with delight, "Especially this little diva. He loves being cuddled. Come here, Kurt. Lets find some twigs for his arms."
Kurt pranced after his aunt, "They need to be really big twigs so he can get really big hugs!"
Grinning after her son, Elizabeth put her hands on her hips and looked down at Blaine, "Well, he needs a mouth and nose, doesnt he? Come inside with me... Im sure I have a carrot or two." She took Blaines hand that, for some reason he wasnt sure about, he easily gave to her, and she led Blaine back inside. After they knocked snow off their boots, she took him into the kitchen, where he warmed up his cold cheeks and hands. "You should appreciate the warmth while were in here." She smiled at him, seeing him rubbing his arms. "Laurice cant be outside in the snow without starting a snowball fight."
She opened the fridge and looked through the different shelves, and she happily showed him a carrot. "Here we are. And now for a mouth... lets see, what do you think?" He looked around for something to use, and he pointed at a bag of licorice on the counter. "Oh, of course! This is Laurices favorite snack-besides ice cream, but Im sure she wont mind. I think this is a perfect mouth." She pulled a piece from the bag and sniffed the fruitiness, "Oh, it smells yummy. Do you want a bite?"
One of Blaines brows ruffled, but he leaned forward and bit into the sweet treat. He lifted his head and found her staring down at him as he chewed, and he gulped to force it down his throat. He felt embarrassed as he ate in front of her. Shaking her head, she touched her heart and whispered, "I just wish you would smile at me. I havent seen your smile. Lets see what you would look like with a smile." Kneeling in front of him, she put the licorice by his lips and curved the ends, and she grinned at him. "You look very good with a smile. Come, lets go back outside before Kurt comes searching for us."
She picked him up on their way back out, and they instantly met a hopping Kurt, who ran in a circle around them. "Maman!" Ruffling his hair as she passed him, she carried Blaine over to the snowman and set him down by Kurt, who gave him a quick hug as if he had missed him for hours.
"Alright, darling," Elizabeth laughed at her bouncing son, and she smoothed his hair when he finally held still. "Kurt, why dont you put the nose in? Blaine can put his mouth on him." Boosting her son up, she gave him the carrot that he stuck into the middle of the snowmans face. "I think thats a very good nose for him. Come here, Blaine." Bending for Blaine, she helped him up and smiled as he put the mouth on him and twisted the ends. "What a wonderful snowman. This is the best snowman Ive ever seen."
"Hes a happy snowman!" Kurt gave the snowman a hug, but he pulled away because he got too cold. "Look, hes smiling! Blaine, you made him happy!" Throwing his arms around Blaine, Kurt squeezed him as tightly as he could, and the tiniest smile flickered at Blaines lips. But his peace didnt last for long when a pile of snow flew through the air and hit Kurts small foot. He screeched and shook his foot, almost falling over because he lost his balance, "The snow is mad at me! My booty is wet!" He crossed his arms in a pout, but perked up when his aunt appeared over the top of a mound of snow shed built. She threw another chunk of snow at them, and it hit Blaines coat. "Its a snowball fight!"
Laurice waved Kurt over, "Kurt, youre on my team! Lets get them!" Kurt happily shrieked again and pounced through the snow, and he hid behind the wall shed made. "Duck for cover!" Looking around for the duck again, Kurt screeched when Laurice launched snow at Blaine and Elizabeth. His eyes widened to the size of saucers, and he tried to make some more snowballs.
Elizabeth screamed and tried to protect Blaine with her arms, "Lets go, Blaine! We need to find shelter!" Tugging him behind a nearby tree, she bent to gather up snow, and she flung it without much of an aim. Snow came back at them, and a fog of white brushed the tip of Blaines nose, making it tickle. Picking up some of his own snow, he peered around the side of the tree and met Kurts excited eyes as he poked his nose over the top of the mound. He giggled at Blaine and batted snow at him, and a pile of it landed on his boots.
His eyes narrowed at Kurts teasing, and he made a run for it, darting over to Kurts protection. Kurt screamed and tried scooting away, but he didnt make it an inch when Blaine tumbled over on top of him. The two of them rolled in the snow, making each others coats absolutely white, and they laughed at each other. Blaine didnt know how to stop after that first hiccup came out of him, but they kept laughing until their bellies hurt. Wanting to win, Blaine cupped some snow in his hand and touched Kurts cheek, covering the pink with white.
Still giggling, Kurt batted his lashes at Blaine, white specks covering the blond. He leaned toward him, forgetting about their battle when they were so close together, and kissed his cheek, and Blaine flushed from his head to his toes. Suddenly, coldness hit his warmth and he hissed, whipping around to find Laurice standing over them with a huge ball of snow in her hands. "I always win!" She stuck her tongue out at them, and Kurt squeaked at her, obviously offended that she had betrayed her own teammate.
"Alright, you three," Elizabeth walked over to them, holding onto her stomach as she gasped for air, "lets go inside before we all catch a cold. Ill make hot cocoa... after we change out of these clothes." She laughed at her own damp clothes, and it was at that reminder that Blaine realized his wet clothes were clinging to him and making him uncomfortable. He sat up and helped Kurt up, and Kurt made an appreciative sound.
They followed Elizabeth and Laurice inside, and each of them gasped at the warmth as they went deeper into the house. The four of them separated to the bathrooms, taking turns tugging off their wet clothes and getting into pajamas. Blaine brought Kurt into the bathroom with him, and he helped him wriggle out of his clothes and into a silky nightgown. After he was done, he rid himself of his own clothes and pulled on a dark shirt and pants. He took Kurts hand and guided him back upstairs, where he smelled steaming chocolate that made his mouth water. Laurice was already lounging on one of the couches, so Blaine and Kurt took the other and huddled into each other, loving the feeling of being close to one another.
As Elizabeth came out of the kitchen and passed out the hot chocolate, Blaine grabbed a nearby blanket and bundled him and Kurt underneath. It felt so good on his warming skin, along with Kurt brushing against him and the hot drink in his hands. "Maman?" Kurt asked after hed taken a few sips of his drink. "Can you read us a story?"
Elizabeth sat down in Burts recliner, which he wasnt occupying because he had to work late. Her hair glowed under the dimming lights, still damp from the snow. Blaine wondered how she was so beautiful. "You know I would love to, darling. Dont I always? But I was hoping Blaine would read some of Cinderella to us. Would you, Blaine?"
Blaine cleared his throat, not seeing how there was any way possible that he could open his mouth and get the words out, but Kurt curled into his side, making it clear to him that he was safe. He was fine here. Taking a deep breath, he reached for his book, which hed left on the coffee table sometime yesterday. He opened his book to the first page, a page hed seen many times before, and he cleared his throat again, "Cinderella was a beautiful girl, but modest. She didnt know of her own beauty." His voice was small and broken, but Kurt still sighed, enjoying the story very much. His eyes glistened up at Blaine. "She was so beautiful that people hated her, made her work very hard to keep herself alive. She lifted her fingers every day, but she never minded. She was used to it, at best, and she liked keeping her mind busy. She was a smart girl, and she liked challenges."
He didnt lift his head to see their expressions as he turned the page, but he did feel Kurt scoot closer to him and rest his head on his shoulder, "Still, she always did long for a better life, but she never complained, not once. She was a strong girl to work day after day, and she did each job very well. The more she worked, the more she wanted to do a better job the next time."
The chapter ended on that sentence, and he was forced to look up from the page as he set the book aside. On one of the couches, Laurice had her eyes closed. He couldnt tell if she was asleep or not, but Elizabeth had her chin on her fingers, leaning forward as if she was completely thrilled by him. Elizabeth gave him a pretty smile, "I think you have a wonderful voice, Blaine. You shouldnt dare hide it for a moment. There is nothing wrong with it."
Blaine flushed again, and he turned his head into Kurts shoulder. Kurt cooed over him, wrapping him in his arms, and Blaine jumped when he felt a gentle hand on his hair. "I love you, sweetheart." She said softly, bending to kiss his cheek, then she kissed Kurts. "And you, too, my darling. Youre both so special to me." She walked by them to go into the kitchen to put her dish away, and Blaine stared after her, then he looked back at Kurt when he nuzzled closer. Kurt smiled up at him, his eyes sparkling, and Blaine smiled back at him.
Blaine sat down on one of the chairs and patted his knees for Archer, who was waddling by him in search of someone to hold him. Taking him against his chest when he held his arms up, he patted his bottom and murmured sweet things to him while there was nothing for him to do at work. His job hadnt been that busy because there were no new bands making appearances at the studio, which meant that the guys had more time to goof off while Wes searched the internet for any singers of interest. The recording room was actually very quiet-for once-because the guys had taken Kurt and Keegan down to the vending machine to get snacks and drinks, leaving him and Archer, Wes at the computer, and Jeff and Hunter on the floor.
Jeff and Hunter were contently doodling a picture of a rainbow, so besides the constant paper rustling, all Blaine heard was the clicking of a mouse. When Wes bored of clicking around for artists who he had no taste for, he turned around in his chair and tapped his knee. "Im going to find a new and unique voice if its the last thing I do." He said to himself more than anyone else, but Hunter still looked up at him as if he was curious as to what he was talking about. "Its alright, little guy. Im just looking for a singer with a good voice."
Hunter glanced over his shoulder at Blaine, and he gave him a big, toothy grin, "Daddy." Blaine flushed at the mention of his lack of voice, which Wes knew about, but he still appreciated his sons adoration of him. He smiled back at Hunter, a silent thanks that made Hunter kick his feet with excitement.
"Thats a pretty good suggestion, Hunter. Ill keep him in mind." Blaine was relieved that Wes cared for him enough to never cross his boundaries. He left it at that, and he spun toward Blaine in his chair. "Oh, Blaine, there is something I need to talk to you about." And the respect for his boundaries was gone. "Dont give me that face. Its not about that. I get it. Its actually something I... well, me and the guys, want to give you. You know, you and your family."
Hunters head popped up from his paper again, "A gift? I like gifts! Archer, were getting a gift!" Archer, who had been trying to nap because of his boredom, opened his blue eyes and looked over at Hunter, and the two of them celebrated with screeches and waving fists.
Wes chuckled at their anticipation of their gift, and he turned back to his computer and kept typing. As soon as he finished clicking and twisted back around to face them, the door popped open, revealing a herd of guys. Kurt was holding onto Keegan with one hand, and in his other were two juice boxes. "Archer, Hunter, are you thirsty, my darlings?" He gave one of them to Archer and the other to Hunter, who both needed help getting the straws into the tiny holes. Keegan handed two water bottles to Kurt and Blaine, who mumbled a low thanks.
After the guys went to their spots and sat down, Kurt came back to Blaines side and sat down on the thigh that Archer wasnt taking up. Keegan went to the other side of the room and lowered beside of Hunter, protectively hovering over him. Nick pulled his pop can away from his lips and muttered over the top of it, "What was all the screaming for? We could hear it down the hall."
Wes snorted at Hunter, who had forgotten about his juice box and was staring up at him with huge eyes, "I told the kids about their present." When Nick whined at him, he hit his complaints down, "I didnt tell them what it was! I was waiting for Kurt and Keegan to come back."
Kurts lips parted, "Oh, Wes, you didnt have to get the children a present, but its so sweet that you did."
Jeff grinned up at Kurt, "All of us pitched in on it. We just thought that you guys deserved it... and needed it." His voice lowered as he looked over at Blaine, the tensest guy any of them had ever met. "We werent sure how to tell you, so come over and look." He nodded at the computer, which showed a bright screen with lots of colors.
Furrowing his brows, Blaine glanced over at Kurt, who looked just as clueless as he was sure he did. He got to his feet and stepped over legs and hands, making his way over to Wes, who moved aside so he could look at the screen. He saw a website for a theme park, and then he realized that it was for Disneyland, which he had never been to before. His parents had never really taken him on vacations before, just let him tag along on business trips, and he hadnt even thought about a vacation for his new family. "What is this?" He mumbled to Wes, feeling a pat on his leg. He looked down at Hunter, who was almost salivating over his present. "Hold on, honey." Reaching down to smooth Hunters hair, he shot his gaze back to Wes, who was smirking at him. "Wes, I-I-" Wes wasnt giving him anything, and he couldnt stop fumbling over his words. "I see it. I dont know what you want me to say. Do you think Im a bad dad for not taking my kids on vacation? I dont have the time... I could ask Cooper for money, but-"
Wes narrowed his eyes at him and shook his head, "I said it was a present, didnt I? You could just thank me. Blaine, the company bought you a vacation. Were letting you take time off work. You guys are leaving in two months... the park wont be as crowded by then. I know how you feel about crowds. You get to stay there for a week. We took care of everything... you can look this over. All of the information is on here."
Blaine hadnt felt this shocked in a long time, "Really?" He muttered, and Wes rolled his eyes at him again as if he was being ridiculous. "Wes, I-"
Laughing at Blaine as he stuttered and stammered, he got up from his chair and let Blaine sit down, "Id feel bad if I made you go on like this for much longer. Ill take all of that as a big thanks." When he ran into Hunter, who was still pawing at Blaine for news on what was happening, he smiled at him and held out his hand for a high five, "Your daddys taking you to Disneyland, little guy."
"Disneyland?" Hunter still couldnt get all of his words out the right way, so he missed the s. "Archer, were going to Disneyland!"
Archer quickly climbed down from Kurts lap, and he ran around in a circle, "Thats where the princesses live!" Screaming again, he darted over to Hunter, and the two of them hopped up and down. "Do you think Cinderella will like me, Daddy?"
Blaine looked away from the screen, which gave their hotel and the day they arrived and left, and he reached down to run his fingers through Archers hair. "I think shell love you, baby. Youre easy to love."
Kurt, who was still trying to get over the surprise, lifted his hand to his heart and gasped, "Oh, thank you all so very much. This means so much to the children. Archer, we can meet the princesses and princes! Theyll be so pretty and handsome. Theyll give you warm hugs and kisses."
Wrinkling his nose at the thought of being around the princesses, Hunter tugged on Blaines jeans and whined, "Daddy, I want to see the cars with you and Uncle Keegan! Oh! Oh! And the monsters!" He curled his fingers and growled, making Archer squeal and pout as he scurried over to Kurt to hide his face in his skirt. "Oh! And the crazy guy and his cat!" He tried to mock the Cheshire Cats grin, and Archer screamed again.
"Stop it, Hunner! Youre scaring me!" When Hunter stuck his tongue out at him, he made a face and looked up at Kurt, "Père, there are no monsters at Disneyland, are there?" He widened his eyes at Kurt, who giggled and shook his head.
"Just very nice ones." He brushed a curl off Archers forehead, then tugged him onto his lap. "They wouldnt be mean to a sweet boy like you."
Archer wasnt satisfied by his answer, "What about crazy guys and their cats?"
Kurt laughed aloud at that, and he gave Hunter a playful look, his nose scrunched and lips curved, "The only crazy guy you will see at Disneyland will be Hunter. Hes absolutely mad, isnt he, Archer? But you and I will stay with the princesses, wont we?"
Bouncing on his toes, Archer squeaked, "Père, youre a princess! And Daddy is your prince!"
Grinning at his enthusiastic children, Blaine turned back to the screen and rubbed his stubbly cheek. He felt someone pat his shoulder, and he glimpsed up at Wes, who gave him an understanding smile, "Youll have a good time, Blaine."
Blaine glanced away from him and back to his shrieking children, wishing they would always look this happy.
