"Thank you everyone!" Blaine Anderson gave one last wave at the crowd, and exited off the stage, the applause still carrying on after he was out of sight. This always gave Blaine such an adrenaline rush, knowing that the passion and soul he put into his music was appreciated. He had come so far and it was pure bliss to know people enjoyed what he did.

Blaine had gotten lucky. In the music industry, that is really the only way you ever get your "big break" unless you have a famous parent or something. Music had always been a part of Blaine's life. His mother was classically trained in the piano, and at a young age, began giving him lessons. He was fascinated by the way such few notes could be combined in so many different ways to create something new every time. But he wanted more, and for his tenth birthday, he asked for a guitar. He was a natural, and with just a few lessons, was already creating his own works. They were small, with only a few lines, but that was the beginning. From that point on Blaine didn't stop, never putting his guitar down. He loved creating his own music, as well as covering other artist's work. But at that point, he had never really shown anyone his talent, still too nervous to put himself out there like that. That's when Blaine decided to make a YouTube account; after all, it is much easier to sing to a camera, than a group of people. But little did Blaine know how many people would actually see his silly little cover of "Teenage Dream". The video went viral. Overnight Blaine had fans, people captivated by his voice, and wanting more. So he made more videos, gaining more and more of a fan base. People started asking him to do live shows, and Blaine got over his fear of performing in front of crowds and found out he actually really enjoyed it. The crowds seemed grow with each concert, and they all knew the words to his songs. He started taking pictures with fans and signing autographs. People started telling him he was an inspiration to them (as he had come out very early on, not wanting to be in the closet to his fans, he was proud of who he was and he wanted that to show.) getting emotional at his shows, there were even fangirls! Websites started publishing articles about Blaine being "the next and upcoming star". There had even been a few newspaper articles. The power of the media was amazing, and Blaine's following continued to grow and he continued to inspire others as well. At this point Blaine Anderson was nowhere near a house hold name, but most of Tumblr and Youtube knew his name. Even as his music career was doing quite well, he was still going to college, to be an elementary school teacher. His father had insisted, telling him that it is always wise to have a fallback plan, and of course, he was right. This is where Blaine was now. It had been three years since he has posted that first YouTube video, Blaine was only 19 years old, and he had an amazing, loyal fan base, was going to college in New York and loving life.

"Great show! You killed it - listen! They're still cheering!" says Blaine's best friend, Wes. He held up his hand expectantly. Blaine chuckled slapping his friends hand in an enthusiastic high five. Wes had been Blaine's friend since freshman year high school, where they had both joined the schools glee club together when they had lived in Maine. He was one of the only friends he had stayed close to after school had ended. They had moved out to New York together, and were currently roommates. He had always been very supportive, and Blaine didn't know what he would do without him. He always knew how to root you on during the good times, and just the right thing to say if you were feeling down. Blaine grabbed a bottle of water, and took a seat on top of one of the equipment cases. "I'm telling you Wes, I will never get used to that" looking over his shoulder in the direction of the stage. "The rush I get from being up there is like no other." Blaine smiled, taking a sip of his water, geeze it was hot on that stage! He always came off feeling extremely parched. Wes smiled back at him and sighed, "I never had the passion like you do. Yeah I enjoyed singing in high school, and I am a pretty damn good at it if I do say so" He attempted to say in a cocky voice, but just ended up laughing. "But, my heart is in medicine. And when I am surgeon make shit loads of money, you can write a song about your dear ol' friend Wesley, and how much you envy his amazing job, undeniable charm, un-doubtable wit, adorab- EY! Ouch!" His speech was cut off by Blaine's water bottle hitting him in the forehead. Blaine burst out laughing "Sorry, my-uh- hand slipped.." Wes stood up, and slapped Blaine jokingly in the back of the head. "Come on, let's go, there are bound to be people waiting for you by now." Wes said as he walked towards the back, Blaine following behind him. After all of his shows, Blaine would always meet at the back door to sign autographs, talk to fans, take pictures, and such. He loved this part almost as much as the show itself. It was great meeting people, and getting to thank them, because he honestly would not be where he was without them.

"Hurry Rachel! We have to be at the front!" Kurt tugged at his best friends arm, pulling her through the crowd of people. Finally, they made it to the front, awaiting the arrival of Blaine Anderson. The concert had been amazing, of course, and Kurt just couldn't believe he was here. This was the first of Blaine's concerts Kurt had ever been able to attend. He was almost positive Blaine had never even been to Ohio, so there was no chance of seeing him while he was in high school. And, Blaine only ever really did concerts in the summer because he was in school, so Kurt had had to wait out his first school year in New York as well. He had been a fan of Blaine Anderson since his early YouTube days. Kurt, had been going through some tough times then, and Blaine had been an inspiration to him. And, even though he hadn't known the guy, Blaine had helped Kurt get through one of the toughest times in his life without even knowing it. Whenever he had had a bad day, he would watch one of Blaine's videos, allowing his velvet voice sweep over him. But it wasn't even just his music. Blaine had inspired him to get out in the world, and follow his dreams. Things hadn't gone as planned, but that didn't mean he wasn't loving every minute of it now. In high school, Kurt had his eyes set on NYADA. When Rachel has gotten in and he hadn't, he was absolutely devastated. But, he knew that wasn't going to stop him from leaving Ohio, and going to New York. And, as some time passed, Kurt realized that, yes Broadway had been his dream. But, dreams evolve. And Kurt had a new one. So here he was in New York, doing the only other thing besides singing, that he had truly been passionate about his entire life, fashion! He was an intern for Vogue Magazine, while attending the New York School of Design, majoring in Fashion Design. He and Rachel had gotten an apartment together, it was small, but it had charm. And, there were times when they had to be careful of their spending and live off of Ramen Noodles because well, bills needed to be paid. But Kurt had never been happier in his life.  And now, as if the icing on the cake, he was going to get to meet his inspiration. One of the reasons he had the courage to be standing here today.

Just as they had made it to the front of the crowd, the back door opened, and out walked a short, dark haired man. Kurt's breathing hitched as he caught sight of Blaine for the first time. He was real, tangible, and wow it was so much different than seeing him through a computer screen. Blaine started making his way along the semi-circle that had formed around the back door, stopping to take pictures, and sign autographs. Kurt had still yet to move, or breathe (right breathing that was important, no wonder he was starting to feel light headed..) when he realized Rachel had been speaking to him.

"Kurt. Kurt! Are you listening to me?"

"Uh, yeah sorry, what was that?" Kurt still felt a little dazed.

"I said, do you even know what you are going to say to him?"

Right. Shit. He had known what he was going to say, he had it all planned out. But now he was just at a loss for words. Kurt couldn't believe he was reacting this way! He never got flustered when talking to celebrities. Him and Rachel had met Patty LaPone at the theatre one night over the winter, and he had been completely composed. It was like he said all the time, celebrities are just people. And it wasn't even like Blaine Anderson was a huge celebrity, he was really only known to the people of the internet.   But this was different; Blaine had almost been like a mentor to Kurt during his last few years of high school.

Kurt had zoned out again and at this point Blaine was only a few people away from him. He looked at Rachel in a panic. She gave him a soft smile "Just calm down, and try to talk coherently" She said with a giggle.

And then, Blaine was standing there, right in front of him. Kurt knew that Blaine was attractive; I mean there had never been any denying that. But now, with him standing just a foot away, using the word "attractive" just seemed silly.  It didn't even come close to explaining Blaine Anderson. His dark curls, slightly gelled, just enough to keep them in place. And, his eyes, they had this wonderful quality to them, almost as if they were green and hazel at the same time. He was wearing a tight v-neck tee that showed his fit physique. Kurt gulped, snapping back into reality. Blaine was smiling at him.  Coherent sentences were not something he was going to be able to manage at the moment.

"I..uh..um" Kurt gulped again. "Hi"

Blaine chuckled. "Hi!" he said enthusiastically, still smiling.

It was such a captivating, warming smile that Kurt couldn't help but feel his worries melt away, and a smile appearing on his own face. For some reason he could not place, he felt more comfortable around Blaine just because of that smile. But now, with most of the nerves gone, all the emotions that came along with meeting Blaine set in. He felt tears of joy welling up in his eyes.

"You have no idea how wonderful it is to finally meet you." A few tears finally escaped, and he brought his hands up quickly to brush them away. Damn it. He had promised himself he wouldn't do this. Why did he always get so emotional about everything.

Blaine smiled at him adoringly. "You have no idea how wonderful it is to hear you say that. It means the world to me to hear people enjoy what I do." Blaine was silent for a quick moment. "I am going to hug you now, if that's all right?"

Kurt just laughed through his tears, and Blaine took that as a yes. Before he knew it, Kurt was consumed by a warm and comforting hug. It felt so perfect, and in no way awkward as a hug between two complete strangers sometimes is. He saw a flash of a camera, which he could only guess was Rachel snapping a picture of the scene. And then it was over in just a moment's time.

"Thank you for coming! I really do appreciate it! I am really sorry, but I have to keep going" Blaine sounded somewhat disappointed to be moving on, even though they had only talked for just over a minute. This surprised Kurt, but he ignored it, thinking it must be in his head, though he was feeling a twinge of disappointment as well.

"Right! Yes of course! It was great meeting you!"

"Likewise." That was the last thing Blaine said, and then he moved down to the next group of fans.

As Kurt and Rachel walked home that night, no matter how hard he tried, Kurt could not get the unique color of Blaine's eyes out of his head or how comforting and warm his embrace had been.
