It was an early Sunday evening and Blaine and Kurt were snuggled together on the couch watching the local news. Blaine had his back pressed against the couch with his boyfriend in his arms. Kurt let out a sigh of content when Blaine started to play with his hair. This was probably the boy's favourite activity to do as a couple, maybe except sex of course, just cuddling and enjoying each others company. Cuddling together just felt so right for Blaine and Kurt. It felt domestic, natural, normal. The way Blaine's head fit perfectly in the crook of Kurt's neck, the way their fingers laced together, the way Blaine's feet would wrap around Kurt's legs.

The boys laid there for a while without speaking until a news report captured their attention. 'Two male penguins adopt baby chick' Blaine was the first to break the silence as he gushed over the fact that two gay penguins hatched an egg. "Kurt, Kurt! Look thats us...in penguin form!" Blaine, in his excitment quickly sat up on the couch, knocking Kurt on the floor in the process. Kurt's anger quickly disolved with one look of  geniune excitment plastered on Blaine's face, he gently shook his head, smiling at his baffoon of a boyfriend.

"Baby thats adorable but we are neither penguins nor do we have the ability to hatch an egg." Blaine crawled off the couch onto the floor so he was sitting across from Kurt with a giant smile on his face. The news report continued, explaining to the viewers that the penuin couple have been wanting a baby of their own for a while now due to the fact that they have been trying to steal eggs from mother penguins at the zoo numerous times. When an egg was abandon the zoo keepers made the decsion to allow the males to hatch the egg, which they did without problem and now have a chick of their own. A real family. Blaine's excitment vanished as a few tears escaped his eyes. Kurt was alarmed at his boyfriend sudden change of emotion.

"Beautiful, what's wrong?" Kurt asked as he gathered Blaine in his arms. "I'm just so haapy for the penguins Kurt. They finally got what they always wanted. Now they can be a real family."  "Oh honey,I'm happy for the penguins too." Kurt couldn't help but smile at Blaine's words. "Maybe one day, we can have a family of our own baby, if two gay penguins can do, theres no reason why we can't right"

"Right" Blaine wiped the tears from his cheek and his smile returned as he looked up at Kurt.

"Kurt?"

"Yes baby?"

"You're my penguin" 

In that moment, right then with Blaine wrapped in his arms, Kurt new the love they shared was real. Someday he and Blaine would be married and adopted a baby. But for now he was content with just loving Blaine for all he is.

"You're my penguin too baby."
