Author's Notes: If you enjoyed it please let me know. Much love x

Blaine and Kurt have been together for two years and have always looked forward to being parents, but never had the success they were hoping for. It may had to do with the fact that they were both male penguins.

Everyday the pair would see humans passing by their enclouser at the zoo and everytime they saw a parent with a child, they ached for their own.
Then one faithful day, their penguin friend Annabelle from the clouser next door, laid 2 eggs. The pair were thrilled for their friend, but were hopelessly dissapointed that they lacked the ability to hatch their own chick. However, Annabelle was not impressed by the new additions to her life and decided to only care for one of her eggs and abandoning the other. Kurt and Blaine tried desperately to persaude Annabelle to care for both her chicks, but to no avail.

It was lucky however, that one of the zoo keepers noticed that the egg was being disregared by Annabelle and quickly retrieved the egg from the enclosuer and subsituted for the incubator. Blaine and Kurt was thrilled that the egg was saved and would hatch to be a healthy baby penguin.
Because the zoo keeper Natalie had known Blaine and Kurt since they became a couple, she understood that they pair were in a search to become parents. Natalie didn't miss the way the pair had their eyes glued to the glass of the other enclousers everytime an egg was laid and the exciting looks she could see in their eyes when a new chick was hatched. Natalie understood the risk of two males caring for a chick, typically the female would sit on the egg while the male hunted and took turns looking after the chick. But Natalie loved these penguins like her own children and she was determined to give Blaine and Kurt what she knew the desperately craved.

Even though there was protest by other zoo keepers, Natalie provided Blaine and Kurt with a fake egg as a test run for the possibility of giving them their own penguin chick. So the fake egg was put in the enclouser and straight away Blaine and Kurt waddled over to the new arrival and took turns sitting on the egg. Natalie kept a close eye of the penguins for a week and everything was going fantastic. Blaine would sit on the egg for the first half of the day then swap with Kurt to take the other half. Natalie was very impressed by the pair that she made the  decision to swap the fake egg for the real deal.

The pair were a bit distressed at first when their egg was taken away, but the new egg was just as precious to them. So Blaine and Kurt continued the routine of looking after their egg and Natalie continued to keep a watchful eye on the pair. Then one day a month later Blaine was startled when a small crack, crack sound could be heard beneath him. He step off the egg and called Kurt over and the two watched their little miracle being hatched. It took some time for the little creature to break its way through the hard shell of the egg but once it did Blaine and Kurt swore it was the most extraordinary thing they had experienced in their penguin lives.

Natalie was the first to witness the new arrival and was overjoyed when the chick was checked as healthy and well developed. 'It's a miracle' she whispered to no one in particular and later the word stuck and became the name of Blaine and Kurt's chick.
Blaine and Kurt were wonderful parents and displayed natural maternal instincts. They were beyond belief that mircale was theirs, finally after waiting so long with the constant fear that they would never be granted the only thing they wanted more, just because their family was a little different to the other penguins at the zoo.

Blaine and Kurt cherished their little miracle and made an extraordinarly magical family. At last.
