Kurt was sitting alone in his dorm room looking through this month’s vogue magazine tutting at some of the designs which are supposedly ‘in’ at the moment. He thought, really who in their right mind would put plaid and squares together? It is a walking migraine seriously. The design reminded him of that where is Wally game he used to play. He didn’t like it was it always left him feeling sick and he never could find the damn kid. Suddenly Blaine walked into his room,
“hey I’m sorry for not knocking but I needed to talk to you,”
“yeah its fine I was only looking at this month’s vogue. Honestly I wish I hadn’t. You would be shocked.”
“Ooh I haven’t got this month does yet let’s have a look?” Blaine moved and sat down on Kurt’s bed next to the boy. Kurt moved over to give him some room.
“Omg that is horrible.” Blaine said looking repulsed at the coat in question. “Is that plaid? And squares?” looking away dramatically, he sighed. “Fashion huh.” Kurt just smiled.
“Well at least I know there is one decently dressed person out in the world.” Kurt joked.
“Why thank you kurt that was such a lovely comment I agree I do dress impeccably.” Blaine said playing along.
“Ah blaine your ego is much bigger than your height I was referring to me.” Kurt laughed.
“You wound me kurt. Wound me.”
“Aw you love me anyway.” Kurt said quickly realising what he said and shut up, Blaine was sitting there blushing. “So anyway what is it you wanted to talk to me about?” asked Kurt, Blaine realising he hadn’t actually asked smiled.
“So you know next week is spring break right? Well David and Wes invited me to go on some kind of trip with them and Mercedes is apparently going as she is allowed to as long as you go so what we are trying to say so that we can finally get David and Mercedes together, will you pleeeeaaaassseee come on the road trip and keep me company?” Blaine said pouting and giving Kurt his best puppy dog eyes. Kurt really did not like the outdoors, but it was a road trip so they wouldn’t be sleeping outdoors and it would be a great time to spend more time with Blaine. Kurt had to admit that he had been distancing himself lately; it was hard to be around Blaine when all he wanted to do was hold him and kiss him. It would be a great chance to spend time with him… and Mercedes of course. But mainly Blaine…
“Kurt you haven’t answered yet... please” Blaine said still pouting, it took all of Kurt’s restraint to not lean over and kiss him then. Letting out a breath, he replied,
“It’s fine I guess. I have to asked my dad first but it should be okay.” Kurt said smiling laughing when Blaine actually squealed.
“THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Omg you have no idea how much this means to me I could kiss you right now!” giving Kurt a quick hug and a peck on his head he froze. “I’m erm just going to go let Wes and David know you might be able to go.” With that Blaine left quickly nearly tripping on his way out leaving Kurt sitting there starring feeling the side of his head where Blaine had kissed him. Feeling tears fall down his face wishing that Blaine actually did kiss him properly.
Blaine promptly walked into Wes and David’s dormitory room which they shared. He had a habit of doing that at the moment not bothering to knock. Right now though he didn’t care.
“I am such an idiot!” Blaine complained throwing himself on one of the two beds.
“Hey I just made that” Wes reprehended.
“I don’t care” Blaine mumbled under Wes’s pillow. “Argh” he complained to himself.
“What happened?” David asked Blaine,
Sitting up, it was clear that Blaine was trying to cry or hit something or someone. “I went to Kurt’s room…”
“I figured it had something to do with Kurt,” Wes interjected. Blaine glared at him,
“anyway… I went into his room and asked him if he would go on the road trip which you guys were telling me about, and he said he would ask his dad so he should be allowed by the way.”
“Great!” David said with a smile, “So what is the problem?” he asked not understanding.
“Well if you stopped interrupting I would be able to tell you!” Blaine snapped and then flinched at himself, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to snap. Well anyway after he said yes my excitement got the better of me and I hugged him and kissed his head.” Blaine groaned and Wes burst into laughter.
“Oh Blainey your upset because you kissed him on the head!” Wes couldn’t control his laughter.
“I think what Wesley is trying to get through is that it’s fine. How did kurt react?”
“I... I don’t know I kind of just panicked and ran out to you guys. Oh god what if he hates me now!” Blaine said panicking.
“Blaine Breathe!” David said, “I’m sure he doesn’t. He is probably as confused as you considering he obviously had a crush on you as well.
“I don’t know.” Sighing Blaine stood up, “I’m going to go get some coffee, I need to clear my head.”
“What about dinner?” David said,
“If I get hungry I will get something out. I will see you two later.” Sighing he picked up his bag which he had on his shoulder. Heading into his own room Blaine picked up his wallet and mobile also his keys and left driving to the Lima Bean.
Looking at his watch, Kurt realised it was time for dinner and that he best head down. Straightening out his uniform, he went down stairs to the hall where he found Wes and David looking at each other with serious expressions on their faces. “Hey guys,” Kurt said making him known.
“Oh hey Kurt,” David said smiling
“Heya Kurtie” Wes said knowing that nick name always annoyed Kurt.
“How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that Wesley” he said
“Say it as many times as you want I’m not going to listen. We have Davie, Blainey and Kurtie.” Wes said smugly, at the mention of Blaine’s name Kurt looked up,
“where is he anyway?”
“Where is who?” David asked
“Blaine.” Kurt said as if it where that simple.
“Oh” Wes said unhelpfully. He looked towards David,
“Oh?” Kurt replied with a raised eyebrow.
“He is at the lima bean. He said he needed a break and went there to clear his head. I’m not sure what time he will be back because he said that if he got hungry he would just eat out.” David explained shrugging his shoulders. Kurt nodded his head and stood up,
“where are you going Kurtie?” Wes asked still grinning at the nick name.
“Out.” Kurt replied simply and walked off.
“I really just want them to get together already it seriously getting tiring.” David complained pulling out his phone him texted Mercedes. “Hey check on kurt please. I think there is something wrong with him. He won’t tell us. David x” David sent the text not paying to the kiss he unconsciously added.
“Yeah I know the feeling.” Wes mumbled to himself watching his best friends face light up when Mercedes responded. “I know exactly what you mean.”
“What was that? David asked not hearing him when Mercedes replied,
“sure thing Dave:)”
“Nothing,” Wes replied smiling. “Just go back to texting Mercedes.” He said laughing when David scowled at him.
“We are just friends.” David insisted.
“Where have I heard that before?” Wes said playfully eating a carrot.
“Yeah.” David sighed looking at the picture of Mercedes and him he had on his phone. It was taken last time Blaine, Kurt and him met up with her. Kurt basically demanded it. You could clearly see the two of them blushing. Wiping his thumb over the outline of his hair he locked his phone with a sigh and ate his dinner.
