Finally the day of the road trip had arrived and Kurt was a mixture of excitement and nervousness. He couldn’t really re-check his bag as it was safely stored away in Blaine’s car down in the Dalton student parking lot. Mercedes was driving up with David and Wes which Wes grumbled and said if that they keep being love sick, he would stop the car and ditch them on side of the road. Both of them flushed bright red but nodded which meant that Kurt’s, Blaine’s, Wes’s, David’s and Mercedes luggage was in the back of Blaine’s car. Kurt and Blaine made a quick top at the lima bean to grab some much needed coffee and set off Kurt curled up against Blaine’s car door and fell asleep still holding Blaine’s hand smiling when he felt his boyfriend gently squeezing his palm. Blaine turned down the radio at the next red light so that he could still hear it but it was still quite enough for Kurt to take a nap. Katy Perry’s Teenage dream came on the radio and the hopeless romantic in Blaine started to quietly sing along to it. Looking at Kurt, Blaine realised how lucky he was, the beautiful boy across from him loved him just as much as he did. It was the blue eyes that capture Blaine’s attention whenever he looked at them the different expressions inside them each time he couldn’t count it showed Kurt’s compassionate nature. That was the first thing that Blaine noticed about Kurt. His perfectly styled hair was amazing and Blaine loved that one piece which wouldn’t stay in place and Kurt grumbled about how he wished he could just cut it off. Blaine loved it because it gave him an excuse even before they started dating to just reach out and stroke Kurt’s head. He loved the way Kurt would just sigh and unconsciously rest his head against Blaine’s palm when he did. Kurt’s skin was flawless. Kurt complained that he thought it was too pale but Blaine loved it. It was the perfect contrast to his and it was so Kurt. He honestly could not imagine Kurt looking any different. The song finished and Blaine glanced over from the road to check on Kurt and saw him smiling and looking at Blaine with a smile on his face.
“I don’t know how you can say that you are not a romantic Blaine,” Kurt said with adoration in his eyes. “That song gets to me every time. I don’t think I would ever be able to listen to it the same again. But that is a good thing do not worry yourself worry.” Blaine smiled at Kurt.
“I try,” he stated simply. They had reached the motor way and traffic had slowed down slightly Blaine sighed, looks like they had hit rush hour. Turning back to Kurt,
“What?” Blaine asked self-consciously, unconsciously he stroked back his hair realising that he didn’t gel his curls down today and he groaned. Kurt bit his lip at this blushing.
“Nothing. I was just looking at how beautiful you are.” Kurt said reaching up stroking Blaine’s soft curls.
“Nah, I’m not beautiful. You on the other hand, god Kurt you are stunning.” Blaine said stubbornly. But with a hint of humour in his voice.
“Flattery will get you nowhere mister.” Kurt said grinning playing with one of Blaine’s curls. “I like it when you don’t gel down your hair.” Kurt said “tr�s chaud” Kurt said speaking fluently in French. Blaine never told Kurt it, but it was something that Blaine really loved hearing Kurt speaks was French. In all fairness it was a turn on. What can he say, he was a teenage boy.
“I can’t stand them.” Blaine mumbled, “To messy and I look like a puppy with my hair not gelled.”
“An adorable puppy.” Kurt corrected Blaine. Blaine smiled and looked over at Kurt he leaned over and pressed what was supposed to have been a quick kiss to Kurt’s lips but gasped when Kurt deepened it and licked Blaine’s lips. Opening his mouth allowing Kurt to enter, Blaine moaned and Kurt grabbed Blaine’s curls to pull him harder against him. Suddenly a loud horn shocked them into pulling apart.
“Wow.” Was all Kurt could say his cheeks blushed brightly. “Sorry about that,” he said looking away bashfully as Blaine moved forward.
“Don’t be I’m not.” Blaine said winking at him. Kurt noticed Blaine shifting slightly in his seat and blushed realising why his boyfriend was trying to get comfortable then again he wasn’t one to judge as he had the exact same problem, he just knew how to do it far more discreetly.
Back in David and Wes’s car, Wes was driving while Mercedes and David unconsciously flirted in the back seats. Luckily, Wes had previous experience from when Kurt and Blaine where not together. Paying more attention to the road than to the two in the back, he heard Mercedes giggle then silence. Curiously he looked into the mirror and sore Blaine and Kurt’s car behind him but what really shook him up was the way David and Mercedes where looking at each other.
“Just kiss already,” he mumbled to himself. David though seemed to have caught on and shot Wes a glare and Wes just smiled and shrugged his shoulders innocently. Using his Bluetooth device in his car he gave Kurt a call. They had been driving now for about three hours and according to his satnav they were almost there.
“Hello?” Kurt answered with Blaine giggling in the background.
“Hello lover boys, put me on loud speaker.”
“Will do.” He heard Kurt shuffle slightly “okay your on loudspeaker,”
“hey Wes.” Wes heard Blaine say,
“Hey. Anyway at the next junction turns left and then go forward for a bit then we will be at our first destination.” Wes replied
“Okay. How are Mercedes and David?” Kurt ask end
“As oblivious as ever,” Wes replied sighing.
“I guess I know how you guys feel huh before me and Blaine where together.”
“Exactly.” Wes said, “Okay, I will talk to you when we get there.” Wes said and ended the call.
“In my heart, there was never a time before you and I got together.” Blaine said smiling at Kurt and rubbed his thumb against Kurt’s hand. Kurt squeezed his boyfriends hand
“I love you.” Kurt said pecking Blaine. Blaine deepened the kiss ever so slightly but not as much as Kurt previously. He smiled when he heard Kurt groan slightly.
“No. I have to drive. We can make out all you want when we get there.” Blaine said
“ever the romantic Blaine.” Kurt said mockingly pouting his lips. Blaine couldn’t resist Kurt’s face when he did that and Blaine pecked Kurt on his lips gently.
“I love you too.” Blaine said to Kurt looking at him with love in his eyes. Noticing that they were coming up to the turning, Blaine turned in and drove down it. After about twenty minutes they found themselves parked in front of a cosy looking bed and breakfast. David and Mercedes were giggling outside the bed and breakfast, and Wes standing there rolling his eyes.
“Finally!” Wes exclaimed, “What took you so long?” Wes asked. Noticing the look the two boys gave each other he stopped himself,
“you know I don’t want to know.”
Kurt picking up on what Wes was thinking started denying,
“NO!” Kurt tried to explain, “We haven’t. We didn’t. Just no wes!”
Wes simply raised an eyebrows and Blaine wrapped his arms around Kurt’s waist.
“Come on,” he whispered flirtatiously into Kurt’s ear. He smiled when he felt Kurt shiver. “We need to get checked in as I do believe I owe you a make out session.” Blaine winked at Kurt and walked off with their bags.
“Blaine Darren Anderson you are so going to pay for that,” Kurt mumbled to himself. Discreetly he put his coat in front of him to hide his obvious problem. One of the many joys of having tight jeans on huh. Wes just snorted and Kurt glared walking off following Blaine.
