4:15pm. He was late. Kurts never late. Blaine sat there in the lima bean with his coffee and kurts waiting for the boy to turn up.

When 4:45 came blaine got seriously worried. He phoned kurt.

“hello?”

“hi blaine right?”

“Yeah. Is Kurt there?” recognising the voice of kurts’ dad immediately.

“wait your the guy he was supposed to be meeting today. He blaine how fast can u get down to the hospital.?”

“the hospital? What? Omg is kurt okay?”

“blaine calm down. Answer me.”

“im on my way il meet you out front.” With that blaine ended the call and drove to the hospital. Why is he at the hospital he wondered? Did something happen at school. Karofsky? He stomache felt sick at the sound of his name. After what felt like forever blaine finally arrived.

“hey bud come on he’s this way.”

“whats wrong is he ok?”

“yea he fine now they knocked him out with some sleeping medicine.”

“what happened?”

“that kid who been causing him shit at school knocked him around pretty bad.” Burt said through tight teeth. “He got a brocken rib and a slight concussion.” Blaine just sat there with a shocked expression on his face. “you can see him in a bit the nurses just patching up his rib.” Blaine just nodded.

“did anyone see?”

“no. Finn found him beaten up in the locker room.” Blaine saw a stray tear fall down burts face. He noticed the bags under his eyes. The man looked stressed and tiered.

“hey blaine?” blaine looked up. “your gay right?”

“yeah, i am.”

“what that school called you go to? Dayton?”

Blaine chuckled. “Dalton sir.”

“it has that no bullying policy right? “

“yea. Its inforced why?” he asked wondering where this was leading to.

“i need him to be safe. He all i have left after Elizabeth passed. I love carol but kurt is exactly like her. I need him to be safe.”

“are you suggesting that you want to send him to Dalton?” his voice rose slightly hoping.

“yea. He needs to be safe.”

“isn’t it a bit far though?”

“il pay for him to board. Ive been putting some money aside for the just incase sinerios i think its time to open the jar.”

“i think it is a great idea. Sir.”

“Good well then..”

“mr hummel. Kurts awake”

Both blaine and burt rose but the nurse said “family only.”

“im his father and i say blaines allowed”

“okay.”
