Piercing Blue Eyes

Blaine wheeled down the hallway and to his locker. He tried to stretch up to reach his AP History textbook but it seemed to be permanently out of reach. It's like it was taunting him. If Blaine had been in a better mood, he would have looked around and asked for help. Maybe he would have wheeled to the choir room to see if any glee kids wanted to help.

Instead, he slammed his locker shut before punching it and rolling away. His hand was throbbing from the impact and he's pretty sure he's running over a few people's feet. But he doesn't care.

He's been in this wheelchair for over a year now and he hates it. He doesn't know how Artie stands it. He feels useless. He can't go play football with his friends anymore. He can't dance his charming two-step dance anymore. He can't even grab his books alone anymore!

'And it's because of this damn chair, Blaine thought as he wheeled into the choir room or he tried to. He crashed the right side of his chair into the threshold. He hadn't gotten used to manhandling the chair like Artie can.

Once he got past the threshold he was greeted with...no one.

"Fuck", Blaine swore out loud. This day was slowly becoming the worst day of his life. Well, one of his worst. He started wheeling back to his locker in aggravation.

He was suddenly stopped short when he saw the most beautiful set of legs he had ever seen. In Blaine's defence, he didn't mean to stare. Ever since he got his chair, the first thing he saw of people were their legs. His height didn't really help matters either. He did notice however when the legs were getting closer in view.

His eyes slowly started to travel to the mystery legs' face and he was met with the most piercing blue eyes. 'Oh my God I'm staring. He's probably gonna think I'm creepy and run away and-'

"Um, can I help you?" the person in front of him asked, interrupting the internal rush of words. "Wow, he's even got an angelic voice. Blaine you have to stop that!' he scolded himself.

'Um," Blaine started. He suddenly forgot about all thoughts in his head. "My locker. I can't reach something in my locker."

"Oh," the stranger said. "I'll help you."

Blaine and the stranger strode down the hallway to Blaine's locker. Blaine unlocked the lock. "Just get that red book on the right please."

The stranger gave Blaine the book in two seconds with a look of pity in his blue eyes. Blaine hated that look people would give him. It made him look so vulnerable. But on this stranger's face, it was so beautiful that Blaine just stared again.

"Um, thank you."

"No problem," the stranger said. He started to walk away. Blaine wheeled towards him.

"Wait", the stranger turned around, "my name is Blaine." Blaine raised his hand for a handshake.

"Kurt", he smiled. "Nice to meet you Blaine." Then he left.

Kurt. Blaine smiled at the name. He just knew that he would never forget that name or those beautiful eyes.
